Jalen McMillan “In Play” For Atlanta Game

December 8th, 2025

Injury updates.

Joe figured the Bucs decided to hold out Mike Evans and Tristan Wirfs from yesterday’s game against the slimy Saints because the extra handful of days would mean both players would be healthier for the Dixie Chicks on Thursday night.

Bucs coach Todd Bowles said that’s not the way the Bucs looked at it. It was just weird timing of their injuries. It wasn’t a “calculated” decision to give the two an extra four days’ rest.

Today, Bowles said whether Evans and/or Wirfs can play Thursday will be determined on Wednesday.

Asked if Jalen McMillan is “in play” for the game, Bowles said he is. But all injured players will be evaluated Wednesday to determine if they get the green light for Thursday.

Also, Bowles said left guard Ben Bredeson will have an MRI on his injured knee. Tykee Smith, though banged up, should be OK. SirVocea Dennis was “banged up pretty good” with a bad hip, Bowles said. His status for Thursday will also be determined Wednesday.

The Bucs offense may be the healthiest it’s been all year Thursday. But is it too late?

    Is Bowles in play?

  3. Tye Says:

    too late? YES!

Klint Kubiak OR Todd Monken would bring excitement, hope and Confidence to this failing organization!

If Bowles is the HC\DC then the season is over.

Don’t believe me? Wait until after the game Thursday at 7-7.

The team is done and that is clear as day.

We will not move forward until the change is made.

  6. Waterboy Says:

They’ll need all the help they can get to keep pace with Kirk “509”.

Thank God!!! Dennis wont probably play!!! waste of space!! Go Bucs

Championship type teams are mentally tough. This year’s team is soft, both physically and mentally. Would like to see them make the playoff but will they actually make any noise… magic 8-ball says “Very Doubtful”

  9. BucU Says:

It is perfectly clear that the players have unequivocally tuned out Todd Bowles.
    He’s a disaster of a DC. He’s a disaster as a HC. He’s a dead man walking.

    Who really gives a 5h!t?

  12. Rod Munch Says:

Baker said last week that they didn’t need Evans to win.

    Turns out he was wrong.

  13. PanhandleBuc Says:

Does it really matter at this point?? Losing to lowly Saints AT HOME was an all-time low this year. Sad times and our coaching staff have shown ZERO ability to adjust and get the most out of their players.

  14. JL Make Edge Deals Says:

Can he cover or rush the QB?

  15. Kenton Smith Says:

No Wirfs or Bredeson? Mahomes has been working with a makeshift OLine this year and I watched him play last night. 3 picks and 0 tds. The offensive line is a pretty important part of the offense.

  16. BPBucsfan Says:

McMillan needs to put his neck brace back on and call it a season. No need to risk further injury. This super complex defense, headed by a “defensive guru ” gave New Orleans double their point average. Just like last week, with 3 missed tackles on 1 play, the 3 missed tackles on that one play led to a TD for the Saints. It’s disgusting to see this team play down to their opponent every week. Step on them, and kick them when their down. That’s how you do it.

I fall to see what this thread has to do with firing the coach

how is it too late? They are tied for 1st, control their own destiny. Win out and they are in, win 3 of 4 and they most likely are still in. Even if they go 2-2, as long as the 2 wins are against Carolina they are still in.

Get in the playoffs and anything can happen

Who cares who plays. These smart people laid an egg yesterday. Outsmarted themselves.

Who cares if they are ready for Atlanta of that meant losing against the Saints.

Don’t cover the middle. And let an idiot playing TE stop a yard short. Can’t stop a KO return. Can’t make a yard on 4th down.

This is a coaching problem. It’s also a crappy roster problem.

Licht didn’t know SVD and Diaby and Zyon would suck? That David was done?

Grizzard didn’t know Tucker had the hot hand? And the misdirections and screens were poorly designed and poorly timed?

We were all lied to in preseason.

If I was the Glazers, I’d be having a serious discussion with Licht. He built this embarrassment.

  20. Tampabaybucfan Says:

What difference will Jmac make if we don’t throw it more than 4 yards?

What in the world has happened to our passing game?…..

Behind the sticks….is all we are getting…….
