It’s Official: Buccaneers Activate Mike Evans & Jalen McMillan
December 10th, 2025Help for the struggling Bucs offense officially has arrived.
Future Hall of Fame receiver Mike Evans and second-year WR Jalen McMillan are back on the active roster. They can play tomorrow against the sorry, sorry Falcons and washed out quarterback Kirk “509” Cousins. Atlanta (4-9) has lost seven of its last eight games.
Evans returns from his broken clavicle eight weeks ago in Detroit. McMillan is back after misssing four months with broken neck bones.
Joe’s now wondering if news of receiver/returner Kameron Johnson being released is imminent. He hasn’t offered much in recent weeks and was the culprit on Baker Mayfield’s lone interception Sunday against the slimy Saints. Receiver Ryan Miller and defensive lineman C.J. Brewer were cut to make room for Evans and McMillan.

Ryan Miller got the boot to make room
December 10th, 2025 at 3:22 pm
And CJ Brewer
December 10th, 2025 at 3:22 pm
Bye bye Kam! Bye bye Ryan
December 10th, 2025 at 3:24 pm
Can either of them Rush the Passer?
December 10th, 2025 at 3:25 pm
CJ Brewer was decent imo…i like him and Simmons
no excuses for Grizz….should be able to score over 28pts
or are we still using the rookie OC and Oline as an excuse lol
GO BUCS!!!!
December 10th, 2025 at 3:35 pm
Miller was on ST….mostly and was somewhat effective…..
Mike & Jmac are in……Drake London is out…….we have a fighting chance.
December 10th, 2025 at 3:39 pm
Is Baker going to get more excuses? Should we expect him to break 130 yards passing this week, or is he ‘injured’ yet again?
Hopefully getting back Mike, they’ll just try to force him the ball, get him a 300 yard game, which if it happened, would mean Baker actually threw for 300 yards for the first time since Seattle, and only would be the 2nd time all year.
Speaking of which, here’s Baker’s projected yardage for the year based on his current pace: 3,560 yards. Not bad, if was 1987, and they only played 16 games.
Anywho, lets hope Baker finally shows up after telling everyone how great he was after moron fans chanted MVP in week 6, as if being MVP in week 6 means anything.
And, while it certainly sounds like I’m bashing Baker, I do actually think he’s going to have a big game, and I’m even putting money on it. Taking the over in yards and TDs, will do a prop bet of taking over 300 yards as well. So lets go!
December 10th, 2025 at 3:47 pm
I wonder why Miller wasn’t used more — or at all. He had a few clutch catches last year. Don’t think he had a single target this year.
December 10th, 2025 at 3:53 pm
Miller had his chances last year and did nothing. Anytime he was on the field lined up to play WR, you knew it was a run play that was coming.
December 10th, 2025 at 3:54 pm
The questions are:
Does Bowles lays the red carpet in the middle of the field for Mr. 509?
Is Bowles creating mismatches to the Falcons benefit?
Is JPP ready to cover TEs and RBs in the open field?
Is the defense ready to secure the edges?
Welcome back Evan’s and McMillan!!!!!!!!!!!!
December 10th, 2025 at 3:57 pm
well i hope evans doesnt reinjure his collar bone or hamstring and esp mcmillion doesnt reinjure his neck and be F ed for life over a team that seems to have packed up for the golf and beach vac in Jan last week
December 10th, 2025 at 3:57 pm
So if Mike can average 250 yards receiving over the next four games….
December 10th, 2025 at 4:14 pm
Ok. What about the defense?
December 10th, 2025 at 4:18 pm
LMAO. Does not matter how many players the Bucs activate on Offense. They gotta be able to stop somebody. And right now, our Defense cannot stop a parked Bus.
December 10th, 2025 at 4:23 pm
someone should have a big night receiving.
regardless of what the defense does there will be enough healthy offensive weapons so there should be no excuses…..except of course for whatever todd says which is 99/100 an excuse of some sort.
December 10th, 2025 at 4:35 pm
Offense should look much different w Mike and Tristan back. No excuses. Won’t be easy but score 30+ a game rest of way and we can outpace our defense like we did in Seattle and could have done in Buffalo… It’s crunch time. Open it up Griz. Oh and for the record Ryan Miller had TD catch against the Texans in week 2.
December 10th, 2025 at 4:42 pm
Is dick Butkus coming to cover the underneath? Sadly, cousins is going to feast .
December 10th, 2025 at 4:52 pm
Maybe try Chukwuma at guard? Feeney is a turnstile matador.

Not even joking, that should be the goal. There’s no way the offense wouldn’t look better if they actually had something they were trying to accomplish.
December 10th, 2025 at 4:58 pm
On the bright side.. a lot harder for Mayfield to overthrow ME13
December 10th, 2025 at 5:06 pm
March or Die
December 10th, 2025 at 5:19 pm
Baker’s not the problem on offense. He was number one last year on third down success and third down passer rating. This year he is number one on third down success rate running the ball with 12 out of 14 conversions. I don’t think he’s forgotten how to play. He doesn’t need any excuses .
December 10th, 2025 at 5:20 pm
At this point I wish Bucs medical would announce season ending surgeries for them both. Baker has on O-line or head coach or offensive coordinator. It’s over.
December 10th, 2025 at 5:22 pm
Bijan is going to burn the Bucs.
No Tykee. BR will have 200 all purpose yards.
If/when we lose, this season is all but over.
December 10th, 2025 at 5:46 pm
Butt Munch, Baker was doing literally the opposite of what you claim – he was playing that MVP stuff down massively. When asked directly about it was dismissive, saying it’s only week 6.
You’re such an incredibly negative presence, it’s weird.

Well here’s the thing, you win games by scoring more than the opponents. So with that cleared up, I have a simple solution — how about the offense just score more points than the Falcons.
December 10th, 2025 at 5:48 pm
Weary of seeing Kam Johnson being swatted down on kick returns. Bring Garrett Greene up for tomorrow’s game.
December 10th, 2025 at 5:54 pm
Fewer excuses.
Bring it.
Zero confidence in the Defense.

“Early on in my career, it’s looked as ‘cocky,’ ‘immature,'” Mayfield said. “Now it’s ‘moxie,’ ‘he’s a dog.’ Same s–t, different day.”
Yeah, that’s playing it down and not at all talking about how great you are. LOL!
To be clear, I have zero issues with trash talking. I love trash talking. Warren Sapp is my favorite player ever because he was a master trash talker. But you need to actually back it up – otherwise people are free to call you out. Except for the mentally ill Baker Boi(s) who think their Lord and Savior is beyond criticism even coming off a 122 yard passing day where he had the ball in his hands with a chance to win the game, and promptly turned it over on downs in 4 plays.
Additionally Mayfield in the past has responded well to criticism, so how about laying on the criticism in hopes he snaps out of this on-going slump. The kid gloves you people have with Baker is embarrassing. He’s playing like crap right now, if people actually held him accountable, called him out, it would probably be the fastest and most effective way of snapping him out of it.
December 10th, 2025 at 6:05 pm
Glad we got them back LFG
December 10th, 2025 at 6:11 pm
No more excuses for Baker please. Wirfs and Goedeke protecting him as he drops back. Evans, Godwin, JMac and Egbuka to throw down the field to and Bucky/Rachaad to dump it off to. No more excuses. No more crying about Bowles and Grizzard. He must get it done tomorrow night if he’s who most Bucs fans think he is.
December 10th, 2025 at 6:21 pm
Drake london ruled out
December 10th, 2025 at 6:39 pm
Miller messed up on special teams last week and gave up contain leading to a big return.
He is not fast he is not an acceptable route Runner he does nothing particularly well so good riddance.
Needs to have players and make plays
December 10th, 2025 at 7:03 pm
Since Cousins threw for almost 900yds in 2 games against us…and one being over 500yds! His total on Hard Rock app went from 204.5 to under 200 yds??….im gonna pay a mortgage payment and bet the over!! This dude is drooling over what he can do in a prime time game agaisnt the SAME defense he just carved up! Hell we make rookies look like all pros, and Cousins is savvy enough to take the middle of the field passes all night!! Who’s with me!??$$$
December 10th, 2025 at 7:05 pm
Yes, middle of the field is as open as the Grand Canyon. Butkus or Lambert would love to patrol that area.
December 10th, 2025 at 7:42 pm
Godwin is getting back to speed. He’s looking really strong. Evans has him some fresh legs. Egbuka is great. Tez can smoke you. And McMillan has fresh legs and has scored 7 TDs in his last 5 NFL appearances. Three good running backs. The question is when will the fireworks start. Because the chances of them starting soon is pretty high.
December 10th, 2025 at 7:44 pm
Kidfloflo – Wow, under 200 yards? Yeah – take the over for sure, although I’m not sure it’s going to be the bloodbath people think. Remember they won’t have Drake London for the game, which is why the line dropped. But under 200 yards? My goodness. Almost seems like a sucker bet, do they know something about his healthy perhaps?
With that said, the thing that concerns me the most is Tykee Smith being out. General rule of thumb with Todd Bowles, if ANY starting defensive back is out, Bowles plays his awful super soft zone defense that makes every QB look like a future HOFer. He just sits back with all the defenders standing around waiting for something to happen. Every, single, time he does that if there’s an injury.
So bet a full mortgage payment? Seems like easy money – which is concerning, because, again, what do they know?
December 10th, 2025 at 7:59 pm
We’ve now used 3 of 8 IR activations. Of the remaining 5, I can see Kancey, mebbe Kieft. (broken bone?) Really can’t think of another
December 10th, 2025 at 8:03 pm
Tired of hearing how many yards per game he needs for 1k. Getting old.
December 10th, 2025 at 8:07 pm
Beeej – in theory the Bucs might, possibly, perhaps, get back Cody if they made it to the SB. At least that was the timeline estimate I remember from the time, it worked out that the earliest possible return date was the first week of February if I remember correctly – but I also could be mistaken, I haven’t seen much about it anywhere else.
But this is pretty much the healthiest they’ve been all year – and they’re still down 6 starters (Ben, Cody, Otton, Dennis, Smith, Kancey).

“Additionally Mayfield in the past has responded well to criticism, so how about laying on the criticism in hopes he snaps out of this on-going slump. The kid gloves you people have with Baker is embarrassing.”
Most of the time i don’t even read your nonsense. You’ve been wrong too many times and had so many nonsense takes to take seriously. However its HILARIOUS that you are so much into your fantasy world you think Baker even knows you exist to be motivated by your “I miss Trask and Jameis and think they were special ” grumblings now that you think you can finally come out of the hole he sent you to for a year and a half
December 10th, 2025 at 8:15 pm
MikeBuc – Dummy, not my criticism, I’m talking about the media you moron.
December 10th, 2025 at 8:21 pm
Where is JPP? Is he going to be activated? Bowles needs him in coverage tomorrow…lol.
December 10th, 2025 at 8:25 pm

Your kindergarten insults and namecalling doesn’t mean anything to adults kid. It never has. We just let you go with it because the Joes allow it. I could insult in ways your vocabulary wouldn’t even be able to process
whether direct to Baker or through the media on your say so its irrelevant to the point. No one even the joes are taking marching order from you to Baker.
your only possible satisfaction will be in you rooting for the Bucs to lose as you have in the past due to your now muted and underground hatred of Baker. For the love of s trask and jameis….of all things…lolol
December 10th, 2025 at 8:35 pm
“Butt Munch, Baker was doing literally the opposite of what you claim”
facts have never mattered to present or past trask supporters.
December 10th, 2025 at 8:36 pm
Even if we win I want to see some fight in all three phases of the game. It is how we win for me.
I doubt that either Evans or McMillan is in “football shape”. Their contributions might only be psychological.
Go Bucs!!
December 10th, 2025 at 8:52 pm
Rod Munch— I dont know if he’s injured…no word online and came out of Seahawks game seemingly fine…that line is beyond intriguing…im guessing the are going on how he has played recently and forget how he will flip a switch and torch us all night long!! We are the best cure to whats ailing ya…Cousins will save face and his reputation and throw for 320 yds and at least two TDs
December 10th, 2025 at 8:56 pm
Glad the lightning are playing tomorrow night they’ll be more exciting to watch. Hoping for another bucks loss at least we might get a new coach and possibly some better draft picks
December 10th, 2025 at 9:07 pm
We have JPP to drop back and cover Bijan on the flat. Game over!
December 10th, 2025 at 9:09 pm
Rod, if you actually knew what you’re blathering about, it would be interesting. But, no, you don’t.

Bowles loves qbs. Love’s giving qbs personal and nfl records. He is such a nice giving coach. And it is Christmas. So that’s it, he is like Santa. Santa Bowles. Fire over confident mistake prone clueless Bowles!

December 10th, 2025 at 10:18 pm
Pass pro has been pretty bad this year, even with Wirfs and Goedeke playing.
– Wirfs having his worst season as a pro
– Winfield having his worst (non-injured) season as a pro
– Zyon looks below average at best
– Bucky has been mostly awful running the ball
– Cade butterbrains Otton has hopefully played his way out of new contract
– Vea hasn’t been a difference maker hardly at all
How many guys can keep regressing under Todd Bowles?
Baker has been just okay. Clearly hasn’t been able to put the team on his back the way he did early in the season. I don’t think he was awful like Munch keeps claiming (I mean he had like 2 bad throws the whole game, really not bad) but he hasn’t been able make guys around him better either.
Something is just wrong with this team. Been that way since the start of the Detroit game. And that something, is Todd Bowles.
December 10th, 2025 at 10:36 pm

Fan poll suggestion Joe –
Are you hoping the Bucs on Thursday night
1. Win and stay in the division lead or
2. Lose badly so Bowles will get fired
December 10th, 2025 at 11:00 pm

LOL! The fact that is coming from a Baker Boi is something.
BTW, even if that was true, it’s Tom Brady. You’re doing that for Baker Mayfield, who, if I’m fair, was MVP in week 6. So he’s got that going for him.
December 11th, 2025 at 12:36 am
This season started so promising, but has crumbled the past five games. Can Evans help turn things around, or is this another risky move to possibly bring him back too soon?
This team is still a few players away from being an elite team, but even with that, Bowles will find a way to lose a few winnable games each season.
December 11th, 2025 at 1:15 am
we have finally seen what life without big mike is…
no 1k season…not even a chance in hell…
it’ll be quite interesting if the offense get’s a jolt of juice with his return…
he changes things in so many ways, more than just receptions…coverage flows his way automatically…it could really help our entire room……….and baker
and lets not forget how jmac turnt up during the 2nd half of last season…
jmac went from confused to infused like overnight…that light switch def came on
December 11th, 2025 at 1:29 am
Sooo glad to see Jalen Mcmillan again as well as Mike, wow, so glad he is ok, such a big deal! finally, I was impressed with Jalen last season. Hope they have a great game.
December 11th, 2025 at 2:45 am
Should give their putrid RedZone Offense a big boost. And, on 3rd-Downs.
December 11th, 2025 at 4:46 am
Excellent news! Expecting to see a lot of creativity and good surprises tonight.
Ryan Miller seemed to do better when he played this season. However, Miller and Brewer being chosen to bring back Mike and Jalen is a solid move.
December 11th, 2025 at 5:52 am
We.need.guys that can cover & that know how to bring down ball carriers with solid tackles . We need guys that can shut down the middle of the field & that gang tackle ! Not gang mistake no tackle . Watching this defense miss 1 , 2 , 3 times in a row as a rookie QB runs to the sideline and then up it for a TD is just some of the worst .. time & time again the middle of the field wide arse open because guys constantly being out of place just baffles me how the coaches can not fix . Having to blitz & blitz & blitz because your 4 down lineman can never generate any pass rush is getting old . Watching the special teams getting worse as the season goes on , it becomes almost unwatchable as they should just kick it out of bounds every time at this point . No trust in this staff and none in half the players to fix it . They are un able to & i don’t care who comes back at this point on offense. This team is cooked . This play caller was the wrong choice. He does not know how to set plays up & how to call plays to look one way & then another look the same but attack another like Coen did . Time for change !!!!!!!!!!
