Hopefully it’s b/c Bowles knows his time here is done. He should know he’s in trouble. Uninspiring, stubborn, soft and ineffective.
This collapse is historically bad- on the same level as Gruden’s last season when they went from 9-3 to 9-7.
INJURIES ARE NOT AN EXCUSE! The defense is healthy outside of 1 dude. And the head coach is the defensive coordinator! NO EXCUSES!
Winfield: he only plays to not get hurt since getting paid. No surprise to hear that he runs out of the locker room after losses. Dude got paid and completely regressed since. Zyon might be even worse, except he was never that good to begin with.
And that right there is one of my only big issues with Licht- he gets way too attached to his own guys. Zyon should have NEVER been paid that new contract. Otton should have been upgraded and replaced last year.
Lavonte: It’s sad, but I agree this is his final season. Father time has finally caught up. He’s one of the few guys on defense that actually cares, but father time is undefeated for a reason.
Ebuka: I think he’ll be fine long term, but these recent drops have been concerning. Can’t blame double teams when the ball keeps hitting you in the hands.
Special Teams: More like special ed. I’ve never seen a special teams unit that is this bad, and we have witnessed some TERRIBLE special teams in Tampa over the years…

Oh, and let’s not let Grizzard off the hook either.
Are we sure he didn’t study under Byron Leftwich instead of Liam Coen? The creativity and misdirection from last year is absent on 97% of our plays this year. Now this is where injuries can play some part of the story, but if backups don’t know the playbook or can’t run the same plays, why are they on the roster?
I just don’t think Grizz has any feel for the flow of the game. Just like Todd Bowles. Which is why they need to go.

Please stop making things up. Thank you.–Joe

Crushing is the word of the day! Hit all the marks podcast!
Didn’t see any of this coming either. Thought we may lose to the Bills but never to the Cardinals and Saints.
Agreed again, they haven’t looked good since the bye. Low energy.
Wow factor on who you mentioned leaving the locker room early after the game. It is all very disappointing. Feel bad for him too. Yikes on the Grizz grade, and agree. However, no matter what he calls, Todd has to agree too. Special Teams not looking good for awhile now too.
So many scenarios being thrown out there now if Bowles, Grizz and others don’t come back next season. I like the talk about Kubiak and Shula. There are others too. Hey, even Mike Tomlin. But it may be Baker goes after one year too.
Still rooting for the Bucs! They can still turn this around.

A “complex” defense SHOULD confuse the opponent, and not your own team. Is it too late because Bowles is unable to adjust, like the Smith Brothers? We’ll see.

Excellent posts unbelievable.

I Think Ira and Bowles are having Dinner tonight! after hearing that non-sense!! Only way is if he gives up Defensive coordinator duties!!!

I’m shocked Ira didn’t see this coming. A blind man could see it coming… Most of the fan base saw it coming. If they truck Todd’s pathetic butt back out with this team next year there won’t be much fan base left.

I also would like to know what happened during the bye week!
A couple of weeks ago, I voted “very confident” in a poll concerning Bowles.
I’ve been eating a steady diet of crow since yesterday’s game.

Me and the old hound licking our wounds and like any good bloodhound tracking the source of the foul odor following this football team around. Baker is playing football like he’s fed up. Fed up with a head coach with a different philosophy of an offense. Fed up with an OC more interested in the head coach’s philosophy than his QBs. I’m not sure yet exactly the source but Baker is playing like someone else is in charge of this offense. He had better take charge. There’s a reason he gets more of the Glazer money than Bowles and Grizzard. You can’t coach what Baker brings to the table. Coaches have best intentions trying to make him better. But they are all smart men. Just hope Baker doesn’t let our well intentioned coach(s) influence what makes him Baker Mayfield. We’re a good team when Baker is leading an offense. Feels like there is confusion as to how we want to play- hurry up, huddle up, be careful. It’s pitiful, really. I’m with my favorite podcasts feelings that we’re not a good team. Unless Baker is taking charge of this mess, today, we are far more likely to lose the next 4 than win the next 4.

Bowles never should have been hired. In a real head coach search he is not chosen. Every year we keep him is another year of mediocrity. Mayfield is worth 45 million a year. No more. Any more and we cannot afford to surround him with talent he HAS to have to win.

If Toad is the coach in 2026, you may as well play the homes games at Tarpon Springs High School stadium. Toad should have been shown the door last year for sure. Actually, he never deserved another head coaching shot after his abysmal years with the Jets. If you look up the definition of “mediocre,” there is a picture of Bowels beneath it.

Can we stop praising Licht for re-signing the draft picks? Who cares when all the dudes they re-sign are JAG’s? That team that showed up last Sunday couldn’t beat the Gators and will not win another game this year.

Fire Bowels at the podium!!!
