GameDay Tampa Bay

December 11th, 2025

Game 14

Dixie Chicks (4-9) at Bucs (7-6)

Kickoff: 8:15 p.m.

TV: Amazon, with Al Michaels, Kirk Herbstreit and Kaylee Hartung.

Streaming: Amazon+, NFL+. (Geographic restrictions may apply; subscription may be required).

Radio: Buccaneers Radio Network WXTB-FM 97.9 in the Tampa-St. Petersburg region (Transmisiones de radio en español en WTMP-FM 96.1 y WMGG-AM 1470 en Tampa). Additional stations throughout Florida on the Buccaneers Radio Network can be found here. The game will also be broadcast on SiriusXM Channel 225 (Buccaneers Radio Network feed). The Westwood One national radio feed can be found on SiriusXM NFL Radio Channel 88.

Weather: It will be cold for Florida standards. Tailgaters getting off work will enjoy sunny skies and light jacket weather in the high 60s. That will drop by kickoff to 59 and will continue to drop throughout the night. By the end of the game, look for the temperature to be 55.

Odds: Per Hard Rock Bet, as of Thursday mid-afternoon, Bucs -5 (-110); over/under 43.5 (-115); Bucs moneyline -260.

Referees: Carl Cheffers and his gang will work tonight’s Dixie Chicks-Bucs game. Cheffers and his outfit have been a home cookin’ kind of outfit over the years. Home teams are 91-57 since 2016 with Carl Cheffers’ posse, per Sharp Football Analysis.

Injuries:

(The NFL, unless otherwise noted, does not include players on injury reports who are not on a team’s active 53-man roster. Players on injured reserve or the practice squad are not on a team’s active 53-man roster.)

Outlook: The Bucs may have one game left for error, one loss. Anything more, and the season could be toast. Losing tonight would be hard to overcome. And winning tonight will be tough. Dixie Chicks quarterback Kirk Cousins is a Todd Bowles’ killer. Even though Cousins was benched last year, he lit up the Bucs for 509 passing yards and four touchdowns in an overtime loss in Atlanta. In two games, Cousins threw for nearly 800 yards and eight touchdowns. That is unacceptable, yet that’s how bad Cousins has lit up Bowles’ defense. And it wasn’t the first time. Given how the awful Bucs pass defense, specifically over the middle, is down inside linebacker SirVocea Dennis, Joe fully expects Cousins to light up the Bucs with medium-range passes over the middle. Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan are expected to be on the field tonight. If Evans is just a decoy, that will certainly help. The Bucs need to ground-and-pound the Dixie Chicks much like the Bucs did to Buffalo earlier this season. Cousins cannot hurt the Bucs as long as he is on the sidelines watching the game.

Fun facts: Do you need to know anything more about Dixie Chicks QB Kirk Cousins other than he regularly lights up a Todd Bowles defense? … RB Bijan Robinson has a six-game streak of at least 85 yards from scrimmage. … TE Kyle Pitts is on a hot streak with at least 80 yards receiving the past two games. … DE James Pearce has a sack in his last five games. … LB Divine Deablo has six tackles including a tackle for loss last week. … CB A.J. Terrell had a team-high 8 tackles with a tackle for loss, a pass defensed and a forced fumble last week. … Bucs QB Baker Mayfield has a touchdown pass in 12 of last 13 games including six in a row at home. … RB Bucky Irving had a team-high 81 scrimmage yards (55 rushing, 26 receiving) and a touchdown in the galling loss to the slimy Saints. … WR Chris Godwin led the Bucs with five catches for 55 yards in Week 14. … NT Vita Vea had 5 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and a sack in the galling loss to the slimy Saints. Vea has at least a half-sack in four of his past five home games. … OLB Chris Braswell had his first sack of the season against New Orleans. … CB Zyon McCollum had his first pick of the season in the galling loss to the slimy Saints. … S Antoine Winfield had five tackles and a pass defensed in Week 14. Winfield has a pass defensed in five of his last six games.

  2. David Says:

    I’ll be there…. bundled up!
Praying the D scheme changes slightly so they can cover the middle of the field and get pressure/SACKS.

Hopefully the Offense is getting healthy enough to start making a difference again

  5. Rod Munch Says:

The Bucs, in their classic beautiful uniforms, pull the Ray Perkins special and put a beat down on the Falcons like it’s 1987…

    Bucs win 48-10.

  6. Permanently Moderated Says:

I’m not staying up for this stinker. Not to watch loafers and quitters.

  7. SlyPirate Says:

  10. ModHairKen Says:

Put someone in the middle and cover 8.

  11. MadMax Says:

might as well settle for a high draft pick…i want Sonny Styles and we need him!!!

And we need to beat the cowgirls to him.

  12. Deeboooo Says:

    lol
    Losers
Yall who are ready for the draft can go root for Mr duiuuvaallll

Bucs gonna pull it around and hit their stride tonight.

  13. Bucs Reality Check Says:

    LET’S GO FALCONS!!!

The only chance at them replacing Bowles is if we miss the playoffs.

If you care about the Bucs winning another Super Bowl, we have to miss the playoffs.

  14. teacherman Says:

Deion Jones will not let me down!

I even predict an interception for Deion Jones this week!

  17. Stpetematt Says:

How about a Super Bowl instead? Let’s get on a roll starting today with this huge infusion of offensive weapons. 500 yards of offense tonight. That’s what we NEED. Get the monkey off our backs!

  18. Louie Says:

    Isn’t the game on Fox?

  19. OneAndThree Says:

If we win the middle 8, we win the game.

And if not, we lose a coach incapable of preparing a team.

This game just as the Saints game, cannot be lost.

Many coaches have been fired for just these reasons.

Just gotta get better has run it’s course.

  20. Rod Munch Says:

Man, am I the only one here that remembers the 1987 home opener vs Atlanta, where Steve Deberg put a whopping on the stupid Falcons, and the Bucs set their (then) all time record for points scored in a game, winning 48-10.

The home blackout rule meant kid me had to listen to it on the radio, then wait until the 11PM news to see like 90 seconds of highlights. What a different world.

As for beating down the Falcons, it’s been a tradition. Who did Winston have his most success against? The Falcons – where he averaged something like 300 yards and 3 TDs a game vs them. Who did we beat already this year? The Falcons. And who are we about to beat by 30? The Falcons. Beat your mortgage payment on it!

  21. SB~LV Says:

Turf is going to look GREAT
But the turf is NOT well rooted and will be coming up in CHUNKS!
I hope nobody is injured as a result.

  22. Oahu Jimothy Says:

I am pulling for the players to win this game! I cant stand it when they lose any games in any season, regardless if its a lost season or not but if we do lose hopefully they’ll be one loss closer to finding a new Defensive Coordinator!

    #noconfidence

  23. Rod Munch Says:

Since people are so eager to get the season over with, I went ahead and did a mock-draft! Keep in mind I don’t watch college football so I don’t know a lot of these players, but I’m a natural – PFF gives me an A- – just think what I could with a few hours of research. 24. Mike C Says:

Just Finished Raise The Flags, incredible…….GO Bucs!!!!

  25. Jack Sparrow Says:

Another primetime night of a clown show and embarrassment by this Bucs team….

  26. MadMax Says:

muncher, like you said, you dont know college players, lol…and no way we are trading our first….but yeah, mock drafting is fun. Just make sure to put time into the intel.

you’ll be there one day if you try hard enough, good luck LMAO

  27. MadMax Says:

    LB Sonny Styles
    DT Christan Miller
    LB Whit Weeks
trade back into the 3rd TE Michael Trigg
QB Sawyer Robertson in the 4th

probably no picks left, but that would be a good haul….go after pass rush edge with a signing since we cant draft one.

  28. JSmalls Says:

It’s always intriguing to watch the human drama of an individual coaching for his survival, that’s what I’ll be focusing on tonight from section 218.

  29. Rod Munch Says:

MadMax — You’ll be happy to know, I did a second mock draft and already improved to an A! Future GM is still in my future.

But trading the 1st and a 7th – for two high 2nds (39 and 47), two 4ths and a 6th – who isn’t doing that? That worked out to be two edge rushers, a LB, a QB and a corner.

That QB was Carson Beck … since I don’t watch college ball, why would Beck be available in the 4th? I thought he had some 1st round buzz around him. Based on the little I know, I’d still take him 100 out of 100 times over Teddy Bridgewater as the backup, with a possibility to eventually develop into something.

  30. jcscycles Says:

This game is on AMAZON Prime.

  31. MadMax Says:

Rod, you have to focus on the quality of the player. Beck has shown up in some of my mocks, so has Nussmeier and Robertson. I still need to see their combine though. But we need D, a legitimate bu QB and a Guard. I guess the Guard will come later…maybe signing one.

  32. Boise Bucs Fan Says:

I sure hope the coaches have coached it better, and the players can play it better

  33. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Another Sonny Styles truther, nice. Hoping he grades out as a day two guy.

Carson Beck is okay, plenty of starting experience in some big games, BUT his deep ball accuracy is iffy and doesn’t have the best timing syncing up with intermediate to deeper routes. I hope the Saints draft him, lol

  34. Jmarkbuc Says:

Man, watching Raise the Flags.. what a defense Tony built.

Maybe our guys should watch it.

  35. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Carson Beck.. Oh Hell no.

  36. MadMax Says:

^ thats why I like Robertson….kid has accuracy, just cant scramble much

  37. Kenton Smith Says:

Just watched first installment of Bucs history. 1979 team. Almost blew the season, lost 3 straight and win the final game 3-0. Doug Williams was something. These are gonna be fun to watch.

  38. Bonan Says:

Both teams are East Coast and the game comes on at 8:15?

  39. Bill in Seminole Says:

Will JPP be on the sidelines coaching up the Dline?

  40. Boltsfan17 Says:

Thank God Licht signed JPP. That should fix everything. What joke he and that signing are.

  41. MadMax Says:

I think its on purpose guys, just saying. No way our D and Todd is this bad actually. This isnt our year and thats why no trades occurred…its stupid i know. But the injuries and Baker is injured too, it was just too much. So we line up for the draft.

Where we pick will be most instrumental moving forward. Losing out will assure us Sonny Styles and an early DT pick for Christen Miller or Amauri Washington.

D looks asleep at times anyway, so, might as well. I hate to be that guy but yeah, its over, panties win the two against us and deservedly go to the playoffs while we lick our wounds and regroup.

  42. MelvinJunior Says:

Carson Beck did have HIGH 1st-Round Buzz… Going into LAST Season, when he was still at UGA. I’d definitely ‘kick the tires’ on him in the 4th. He’s been looking pretty good of late. Miami PAID for him. He’s got a couple of Lambos and a Benz. They friggin got STOLEN tho LoL. He’s been dating one of those twins!!!!

  43. Buckit Says:

Bucs need to wear the proper cleats, there have been issues with this for years.

  44. Marine Buc Says:

Baker needs to have a great game tonight.

He is also on the hot seat if he continues to struggle.

  45. BucsFan81 Says:

Game day thread let’s go Joe!!!

  46. Francisco Says:

Toilet Bowles can’t look bad against a hapless quitting falcons teams can he?

  47. SBucs13 Says:

This is the game that fires Todd. His vaunted defense will wet the bed.

  48. Rod Munch Says:

If you’re watching on Amazon, watch the Prime Vision version, it’s awesome – you see the entire field, can actually tell what is happening – still get the normal audio and cuts between plays.

  49. Rod Munch Says:

Both teams are wearing their team color tops with white pants?

  50. Francisco Says:

Rod Munch so you can see if the wideouts are getting open or not?

  51. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

    Nice Kam Johnson!

    Hey Joe, speed matters lol

  52. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Hey a 1 rep bail out

  53. Vegasbuc Says:

    Fire Todd

  54. MadMax Says:
