Are The Bucs Toast?
December 7th, 2025Joe saw two things after the game, no words spoken, no questions asked, that sure appeared the Bucs have realized their run of postseason appearances may be coming to an end.
Joe doesn’t remember ever seeing Bucs coach Todd Bowles as crushed as he was today after the game. Joe saw him walk into the locker room as if he was walking into a funeral home.
He looked worse walking through the locker room to the coaches’ locker room after his press conference. Bowles walked slowly, body hunched, head hung low. Bowles appeared to look like a man who just learned his dog had been run over.
Joe has seen and talked with Bowles after some tough losses. Joe never saw him with this kind of depressing body language. It’s almost like he’s out of answers.
Then, Joe was shocked to see another sight, something Joe has never seen and never thought he’d ever see.
Not often do Bucs players bolt out of the locker room before it opens. Sadly, Joe has noticed Antoine Winfield doing this after home losses the past two seasons. Before last year, he never did such a thing. Usually, the guys who bolt out right away are guys you generally don’t want in the locker room to begin with. Slobs like DeSean Jackson and Swaggy Baker for example.
Today, for the very first time, Joe saw Lavonte David walk out of the locker room early. Joe was shocked. Usually, David is always available to discuss the game, bad or good.
This is not a knock on David at all. If anything, Joe thinks David is just fully fed up. And he likely has a hunch he has but four more games left in his fantastic career. Joe is guessing David is depressed, too.
Last week David was pretty outraged how the Bucs struggled against Arizona. The week prior he unloaded on his teammates for playing half-arse football in Los Angeles.
Joe thinks David has had enough and has nothing more to talk about, as if he’s resigned to the Bucs possibly ending up with a losing season.
Seeing Bowles being crushed and David bolting early, well, that’s how bad things are right now for the Bucs.

MVP Baker had the ball, 2 minutes left, chance to win the game. He choked. That’s the top story.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:20 pm
Bowles walking like a man who knows his job is slipping away.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:20 pm
Yes, they are not a playoff football team
December 7th, 2025 at 5:20 pm
Winfield got paid, and has disappeared on the field and in the locker room. That’s lame.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:20 pm
Can’t help but wonder what this team would be like if Liam Coen was still on the Buccaneers staff.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:21 pm
We will not win again this season.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:21 pm
Yes, yes they are toast.
Hopefully Bowles goes with them.
LOL @ claiming Baker choked. Why isn’t Cade Otton capable of running a route past the sticks? Why can’t our OC coach anyone up on basic situational awareness like that?
Baker is 1 of maybe 3 or 4 guys on this roster who actually plays hard. The rest are soft spineless pansies who are content to lose so long as they get paid.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:21 pm
They are ROD JONES level toast.
Jason Licht is trash. Clean house. Please.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:22 pm
Shush idiot muncher. Anyways i said two weeks ago we might win one more, and that would be the saints. Oh well, oh well got that one wrong.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:22 pm
Bucs too nice won’t fire bowles
December 7th, 2025 at 5:22 pm
Yes. They lost a game on all three phases again. Offense, Defense and Special Teams. Bucs won by luck in the beginning and now their luck has run out. I think Bowles is done. If they some how make the playoffs and keep him then it will be more mediocre struggling. I don’t think they will make the playoffs and if that’s what’s needed for a new coach then so be it.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:22 pm
How professional. Complete absence of leadership.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:22 pm
Good players bad Coaching
December 7th, 2025 at 5:22 pm
YES, they are toast…playoffs are maybe in play, but they ain’t doing anything even if they make it.
This team is inept, they can’t do sh!t against a 2 win team that they crushed a month ago. That’s embarrassing at the least. They may very well lose to Atlanta this Thursday. Very real possibility and the way Carolina is looking they will be lucky to win one of those games.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:22 pm
@SteveK – Winfield now plays not to get hurt instead of playing to win.
But some of the dummies around here will insist he’s still a top tier safety.
Him and Zyon are the most overrated (and overpaid) players on this roster.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:22 pm
Letting Coen go and keeping Bowles will shift the future of this franchise for a decade. We all knew it too.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:23 pm
FIRE BOWELS and get early start on Monken or Kubiak!
December 7th, 2025 at 5:23 pm
Yep
December 7th, 2025 at 5:24 pm
Todd like a lot of us, thought a Super Bowl was legitimately on the table this year. Now he likely knows that his career is probably over after four more weeks. He’s a football guy who has dedicated his entire life to it. That’s hard.
He’s had a good career tho as a player, defensive coach, d coordinator and he can proudly state that he took a team to three straight division titles.
That’s nothing to be ashamed of.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:24 pm
Top story is letting a 2 win team come in and score 24 points while allowing a rookie qb looking like Lamar Jackson.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:24 pm
Dave canales team is a better team. Better coached. Bucs have been toast for years. It just took until another South team got good enough to win more than 8 games.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:25 pm
7-10 is coming. SMH
December 7th, 2025 at 5:25 pm
Unbelievable – add Vita to that list.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:26 pm
Saints starting position on each drive…
1st drive – TB 45 (TD)
2nd drive – NO 23 (Punt)
3rd drive – TB 48 (Missed FG)
4th drive – NO 16 (INT)
5th drive – NO 30 (Punt)
6th drive – NO 49 (Downs)
7th drive – TB 42 (TD)
8th drive – NO 39 (FG)
9th drive – NO 47 (TD)
10th drive – NO 19 (Punt)
So when the Bucs offense / special teams didn’t give the Saints a short field, they scored… 3 points.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:26 pm
The Bucs have a better chance of going 0-4 in the next 4 games than we do of going 4-0.
Emeka ‘Stone Hands’ Egbuka needs to get his head out of his a$$ and Bowles and Grizzard need to be fired after the season. 💯
Bucs are currently terrible.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:26 pm
Bowles knows it’s the beginning of the end for him
December 7th, 2025 at 5:26 pm
Should be toast, but I’m I’m sure there will be no changes.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:26 pm
Darin is right!
Bucs have been mediocre since Bowles took over!
December 7th, 2025 at 5:27 pm
Yes, Our Bucs are toast. Even if we somehow can finish 10-7, Bowles has to be fired. It’s time for a change. Todd is taking us nowhere but to the couch to watch other NFL teams in the playoffs. We just lost to one of the worst teams in the NFL
That should be the camel’s straw. Are you listening, Glazers?.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:27 pm
His dog did get run over by the saints
December 7th, 2025 at 5:27 pm
Rod,
Baker hasn’t played well the last 6 weeks, his play is still “better” than Bowels’ defense, and “Grizzard’s playcalling”. I think he’s playing hurt and it’s just not up to his level of play.
The piss poor edge rush, stupid play calling on offense (feed Tucker), and the piss poor zone defense employed by our Hc who’s had his defense installed for his 6th season. It’s shameful.
Why did we let Liam Cohen leave? He looks like a genius in Jacksonville, and I’d contest his offense + a fresh defense would be better than the Bucs are doing.
I hate losing by the same pattern. Piss poor pass defense, toothless edge rush, and a rookie play caller who can’t figure out how to not run his hot RB, and continues to go right up the d!ck, lacking creativity. I’m tired of losing repeatedly with these outcomes.
Sprinkle in baker not playing like he did the first 5-6 games, probably banged up, and we suck out loud.
Thursday night will be telling.
I want my $20 million salary players to play like it. Winfield, Godwin, Goedeke, Wirfs, etc. Injuries sure play a part, but what the hell is wrong with Winfield? Is he hurt? Why can’t he take account for his lack of productivity and the loss? He’s the top paid safety in the league, wish he would at least be fully accountable to discuss the team after. A loss.
Lavonte has lost a step and it’s sad to see. Too bad Licht hasn’t found an adequate replacement or an edge rusher worth their salt. It’s the same old Bucs, losing the best way they know. It hurts more when the outcomes of the look g continue. I wish they could at least find a different outcome to lose.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:28 pm
Are the Bucs toast? Anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:29 pm
Good! They all should be wearing paper bags over their heads. You should be absolutely embarrassed by that game! A lot of people on that D making a boat load of money and play like it’s the pro bowl. The offense is dang near just as bad any more. Baker has been playing scared for weeks. He never sets his feet anymore to throw a ball, he’s always dancing back there like he’s gonna get killed! With that happening all his throws look horrible. This team is done and even if they get to the playoffs they’ll be rolled hard like the rams game.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:29 pm
Munch,
We all saw Ebuka drop a ball in his hands in the end zone late in game. That was a catchable ball. Many in the NFL could have caught that ball with one hand.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:30 pm
What about us–the fans–we are crushed, we matter as much as anyone, we deserve better. I am ready to see Bowles fired on the spot. A whole new regime. Tired of Licht and his bargain hunter mindset mentality as well. Heads need to roll.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:30 pm
Something something is going on. The players just don’t seem the same that they were in the beginning. Baker had his head down again on the bench at the end of the game. Seems as though something has been lost. Can’t fully blame Todd, Jason, and other coaches either. Yes, they are part of it. But, it just seems as though there is something off now.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:30 pm
They’ve been toast since the bye.
Trade AWJ, he’s a S not a star LT, DE, DT or QB.
Hes certainly not playing like a cornerstone piece; same as last year.
Now he bails out early. Actions are everything. Move him and 27.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:30 pm
Rod,
I’m looking at the whole season. Has there been a game where all three phases were doing well? Defense will do well but offense will fail or the offense gets points but defense can’t hold. Or both fall down. Defense has no edge and the offense has line issues, Baker issues and run issues. I get your opinion of Baker and how you like trolling his ultra fans. You can’t be telling me the whole season it’s just the offense while defense and special teams have done their job.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:31 pm
We did not “let Coen go” and not sure why commenters continue to state that.
We hand a handshake deal Coen for a second year. He backed out and went to the Jags.
It would have been foolish to give a 1st year, 1st time NFL OC a HC job with a guy in year 2 (?) of his contract. Sure hindsight 20-20 whatever, but come on get real here
December 7th, 2025 at 5:31 pm
Yes!
Even if they run the table and somehow extend the season, they have played like crap 90% of the year.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:32 pm
Are the Bucs toast? Is boiling water hot?
December 7th, 2025 at 5:32 pm
On the plus side, The Joe’s are getting lots of traffic from pissed off fans.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:32 pm
I love how Baker “single handedly” wins games, but when he loses, it’s never his fault, suddenly it’s a team game, everyone let him down, he’s hurt, etc.
Baker threw for 122 yards, 4.1 yards per attempt, and a turnover. In no world is that a good day, or an average day, or an OK day, or even a middling day. That was a terrible day.
Did he have guys who should have made plays? Yes. But Baker was the biggest issue. He had e2 wide open in the endzone, instead of an easy pass, he throws with no touch. Again, e2 should make that catch as it hits his hands, but all Baker had to do was put a little touch on the ball and it’s an easy TD. On the sideline, you want Godwin to make that catch, but he’s also sitting on the sideline waiting for Baker to find him, if he gets the ball earlier he has more time to make the catch before being blasted (and people acting like Godwin ‘dropped’ the ball was morons, the ball was knocked out on the hit).
And regardless of what happened before that final drive, fact is, with 2 mins left, Baker has the ball, a chance to win the game, with 1st place in the NFC South on the line, and he choked.
He’s got a chance to still make things right in these final 4 games, but he HAS to play better.
The idea that the defense has to give up less than 20 points a game for the Bucs to have a chance is nonsense.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:33 pm
Looks like a repeat of 02! If we don’t make the playoffs we may have to send Bowles packing like Dungy in the old Dodge Durango! Time to bring back Jon Gruden!!
December 7th, 2025 at 5:33 pm
It’s almost like having a soft, passive, clueless HC who gives the team the softest training camp, the softest preseason, and then the softest practice schedule during the regular season results in a team that is soft. Imagine that!
December 7th, 2025 at 5:33 pm
Winfield is a bum!!! took the money and ran! I did not hear his name once today !!
December 7th, 2025 at 5:34 pm
What’s the point of making the playoffs now? Might as well tank the rest of the season and get a higher draft placement. Winning the division and bowing out in the first round again doesn’t help the team.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:35 pm
About time Bowles could see his future…a fired head coach! We’ve taken this crap from the players long enough…they are an uninspired bunch…teams, even those who are bottom feeders play with more enthusiasm, more hustle etc. His non motivating style has morphed into the player. Joe’s right, players who give a damn should be heard, the gutless media needs to get some balls and let the people know what’s really going on inside the halls of one buc. Bowles has never been more than a below average coach whose time is up!!! No BS, no more “mister nice guy. We already have let what appears to be 2 very strong coaches leave….sickening to me and he should be hanging his head…SHOW HIM THE FREAKIN DOOR!!!!!! NOW!!!
December 7th, 2025 at 5:35 pm
Blow it up
December 7th, 2025 at 5:35 pm
Just not a good team and it is made worse by, at best, mediocre coaching
December 7th, 2025 at 5:37 pm
They are ROD JONES level toast.
Rod “Burnt Toast” Jones, wow, have not thought about him in a while lol
Blast from the past, the first lost decade of the of the 1983 to 1996
Time for a change, this team has the look and feel of a LOSER.
Todds last press conference will be soon. The best this team can muster is 1 and done in the playoffs. They may not even make the playoffs.
1 good thing is LIFE goes on no matter what happens on the Gridiron.
Been Fan since 1976. Well all that fake hoopla about 1976 is biting them now, because they have morphed into that kind of a team. A lifeless and uninspiring team.
GO BUCS!!!!

I agree with you completely, actually.
Baker hasn’t been the issue all season – and I really haven’t blamed him much even in loses. But today, this was the game where I finally expected him to snap out of his funk. And he didn’t, and the fact people are acting like the defense and special teams are why the team lost today – it’s ridiculous.
The whole game came down to Baker with the ball, and he didn’t get it done. That’s the headline, that’s the story. Last year the offense was rolling at this point, averaging like 32 points a game. Now we have back to back weeks of getting 20 points vs bad teams, and everyone talks about everything but Baker. If Baker is only good for 20 points a game, this team isn’t winning. He has to do better.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:37 pm
Yes the Stank. They Stunk. They were awful. They are close to .500 Bowlzozone. No matter what happens now the are in the BozoZone.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:37 pm
Bucs are now bottom feeders – and will be for a long time.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:37 pm
I guess those “ignorant” sportwriters had the Bucs figured out back in August.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:38 pm
What SteveK said.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:39 pm
We all saw this coming over a month ago. It’s like this team is just standing around waiting for SOMEONE to make a play.
– EGBUKA cannot catch anymore
– Josh Grizzard is an awful play caller
– The offensive line cannot block
– The defense is just awful
…….and folks, all of this and I mean ALL OF THIS comes down to BAD COACHING……..FULLSTOP!
December 7th, 2025 at 5:39 pm
Todd Bowles knows his days are numbered. Sorry Lavonte, but I wish the Panthers knock us out so we can fire Toilet Bowls. Enough. I have NEVER seen a defensive HC with a better offense than defense or at least have a complementary defense to a stellar offense. Enough. This is the best Todd Bowles can do. He is in over his head with game day decision making and having the intelligence to put the right personnel in place to make his defensive scheme work. Enough.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:39 pm
Fans aren’t stupid. Even IF we back into the playoffs………see how empty the stadium will be for the game. People can spot a loser…..we all know what we’ve got.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:39 pm
Special teams coach should have been launched after the Jets game. Now it is time to fire Bowles. Glazers shoukd be embarrassed by the team’s play and tge Bucs will lose on Thursday even if the Falcons started Kyle Trask, that is how bad Bowles is on prime time TV.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:40 pm
Especially since baker had a clean pocket with no pressure…..oh wait. Short intermediate passes with 1:48 left was the correct play sheet . Grizz panicked and called long shots early in the possession. Horrible series. Half your line is back ups. You get the ball out quickly to the sideline….
December 7th, 2025 at 5:40 pm
Coen was lightning in a bottle. Many of us knew that. But, we wanted “Mr. Mediocre” back for another season
December 7th, 2025 at 5:40 pm
Much like Benji Morrison, Rod Jones and certainly Rod Mulch…they are completely toasted. I’m starting to think they lose out. It may be what’s needed to create change. Bowles by all accounts is a good guy…just cooked in his current role. He’s had a great run as a player and coach. Letting Licht work with a 5th coach would be way too much of a good thing. Licht’s Out as well…
December 7th, 2025 at 5:40 pm
Bowles is upset he missed the all you can eat buffett at the Columbia House today. Thats what he was upset about.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:41 pm
Some moron just called Tkras and said ‘just wait until ME13 gets back’ LOL
As if that will make any difference whatsoever!!!
December 7th, 2025 at 5:41 pm
It’s over this season and Todd knows it as do the players. Grizz is a bust, Todd is past his prime and Jason has only succeeded with one coach out of 4 thus far
Do we not just clean house 100%??????
December 7th, 2025 at 5:42 pm
BAKERS FAULT!? that dude is the only guy it seems to play with grit and heart every game!! And u can’t blame last pass on him…in the speed and heat of the moment he can’t tell if Otten ran past sticks by a foot or not! But Otten should be chastised and ripped for doing so…how in the world can u run route short with game and season on the line!?? On the heels of getting his wallet stripped two times when he had ball one leading to a pick 6, his days are as numbered as Bowles
December 7th, 2025 at 5:43 pm
If they lose Thursday night they are toast.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:43 pm
Rod, Baker sucked today. Why don’t you research how many times this year the Saints scored 24 or more and get back to us?
December 7th, 2025 at 5:43 pm
Lovante is the example of a player that stays a year too long vs a year too soon.
Not his fault…they had absolutely zero inside linebackers and talked him into playing another season. A great career all said and done.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:44 pm
AWJ is hot garbage. Trade his ass, get what you can and dump this overpaid pretender. Same with Reddick. Same with McCollum. As for the rest of the hot garbage, dump Dennis, trade YaYa. And sadly, time for LVD to hang ‘em up.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:45 pm
Grizz IS a BUST!
Boring – pathetic offense w zero creativity.
BTW – the fact the special teams coach still has a job is amazing to me! It sets a level of mediocrity the players see – ultimately losing respect for the entire organization.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:47 pm
This is 2025 Baker… NFL.com’s Gregg Rosenthal (November 2025): Mayfield ranks 31st in success rate when having a clean pocket—near the bottom of the league.
That is a huge problem. Along with a defense that scares nobody but Buc fans
December 7th, 2025 at 5:47 pm
Mobster checking in. The football Gods have smited the Bucs.
Well deserved if you ask me for putting a locally beloved player on the blacklist by smearing him as slow learner with questionable arm so he had to sit out 2025 and wait months to get on a practice squad. Very very bad karma.
Meanwhile, Captain Insano has lost his invisible juice. He got outplayed by Tyler freaking Shough.
14/33 for a measely 122 yards with a 3rd INT that NO capitalized on.
It all comes out in the wash and this story isn’t over yet either. It’s only a matter of time before KT gets an opportunity, makes his way back to Tampa and drops a big number in front of the pirate ship. I’ll make sure to get tickets that day and we’ll being doing the Gator chop all game.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:48 pm
I don’t think it would have been foolish at all to promote cohen and let Bowles go. It’s an offensive game and if you have a chance to pair a good qb with a good young offensive mind, it’s worth the risk.
Sure, it could have not turned out well or it could have turned out very well. It seems as if it’s the latter so far across the state.
December 7th, 2025 at 5:49 pm
Rod,
Absolutely. Baker wasn’t the only reason but he was the biggest one to me. He was a glaring and important part of the loss in the end today. Of course he has the most visible and important role but he needs to play better. I think Baker is still more banged up than what we know. Now I do feel the biggest issue is coaching and Bowles needs to be replaced.

You forgot Special Teams. Coaching hasn’t figured that out all season. It’s crazy.
December 7th, 2025 at 6:03 pm
What about Otten, has anybody made more negative game changing plays than this guy?
December 7th, 2025 at 6:05 pm
A Todd Bowles-led team is toast.
December 7th, 2025 at 6:18 pm
I agree with Rod. Grizz, Mayfield, and offense choked. Scored 20 points last few weeks against 3-10 teams. 3rd and 4th downs stall out and no points are being generated. Run up the gut and 3 yard pass, stall around midfield and repeat. Line doesn’t block long enough, WRs don’t get separation or drops the ball. Otton isn’t good at anything other than blocking. I’m convinced D. Culp should have a look going forward. Defense isn’t very good and S/T is a disaster. The only thing that matters to me is 3-0 in Superbowls and the current staff and roster can’t win 4 games in a row against good teams. 2-1 and 0-17 is the same effect for me.
December 7th, 2025 at 6:19 pm
Just watched the Bears go for 2 and just will their way across the line. Completely different attitude than Bucs!
December 7th, 2025 at 6:36 pm
unbelievable, re: soft,
Yup. Warren, Derrick and John would tear new azzholes into these players. Sadly we don’t have anyone like that. Bakers got grit, but they aren’t even responding to him anymore.

Direct Blame on The Owner, who listened to coach B.A. to hand this job to unqualified non motivational Head coach. Players have regressed. Thursday nights game will get out of control early. Don’t watch it!
December 7th, 2025 at 7:32 pm
I’d still like to see them come out pissed-beyond-pissed and absolutely destroy Atlanta.
But I’m dreaming. Not gonna happen.
December 7th, 2025 at 7:39 pm
The issues on Offense are coaching, very similar personnel year over year, and the fact they’re struggling now, directly points to coaching being a problem. I don’t know if it’s getting players ready or actually calling the game (or both), but I don’t think the current OC is ready for this position.
The issues on Defense are personnel AND a coach that thinks their scheme can win with any level of personnel. There are 3 players on this Defense that could start for at least half the teams in the League; Vea, Winfield and Dean (as CB2, not the top guy). I love LVD, but I don’t think he’d be a starter anywhere else at this point. Tykee Smith is an up and comer and my be able to start on about 8 teams currently, but not half. Diabi, Dennis and McCollum are all first guy off the bench types at best. Not bad players to have on the team, but not regular starters. And then there’s Bowels, who is so confident in his scheme, and he does know a lot about Defensive football, that he thinks he can do it with just about anyone playing. He saw no need to push for a edge rush in the draft or in FA, nor another ILB that could challenge Dennis. These were obvious weaknesses in terms of depth at least, and he should have been pushing Licht all of season for getting more bodies in that could at least compete for starting roles.
We’ve let two young OCs go because an insistence on listening to BA about Boweles, both have their respective teams in better position than the Bucs currently. And even though there’s been a win increase year over year, an argument can be made that the defense; the side of the ball that is the HC’s specialty; has gotten worse each year that he’s been the HC. It’s time to move on, and bring in an Offensive minded coach that can get this Offense back on track while we still have talent on that side of the ball, and blow up the defense and pretty much build that from scratch (around Winfield).

Rod, Baker sucked today. Why don’t you research how many times this year the Saints scored 24 or more and get back to us?
———-
I did a post where I showed the Saints starting position on each drive.
There was only one drive where the Bucs didn’t give the Saints a short field and New Orleans scored – and that was just a FG, and even then they started at the 39. The other TD drives were two from the Bucs side of the field, and the other was from the Saints 47. Even against a bad team, expecting the Bucs defense to keep bailing out the offense when they’re put in that position is asking a lot.

We did not “let Coen go” and not sure why commenters continue to state that.*************Are you a dumbass or just stupid? If we wanted Coen, he would be our coach now. Simple as that. No explanation needed. lol

Explain the process of how that happens exactly.

“ the fact people are acting like the defense and special teams are why the team lost today – it’s ridiculous.”
Yet:
“ I did a post where I showed the Saints starting position on each drive. There was only one drive where the Bucs didn’t give the Saints a short field and New Orleans scored – and that was just a FG, and even then they started at the 39.”
AKA special teams and defense.
Highest scoring game for Shough and New Orleans.
Now I’ll agree the offense also sucked today too, in addition to defense and special teams. I’m just not putting that all on Baker. He really only had 2 poor throws today IMO. I’m curious if you think there were way more?
– I have a bigger issue with Grizz’s moronic playcalling
– I have a bigger issue with Otton and other WRs continuously running routes that are short of the sticks
– and our WRs dropping balls that him the right in the hand
Total team collective failure today but defense and special teams were the worst IMO. Saints actually have a good defense. They have never had a good offense. Until today. Against Bowles and his bozo defensive scheme.

The Bucs are 1-4 since the bye, and have looked worse each game. Coach Bowles seems unable to right the ship or fix his defense. The Bucs eked out a win against a 3-win team, and lost to a 2-win team. I see no expectation of winning any of the remaining games, or winning the division so they can go 1 and done in the playoffs. This is a bad team, coached poorly.

unbelievable – How exactly do you think you’re making your point here?
You think the defense is supposed to give up less than 20 points when the Saints are getting the ball over and over and over again a midfield, mainly due to the offense being inept?
The opening kickoff was on special teams – they had the entire game to over come that. The others are on the offense.
The entire game came down to giving Baker, the ball, with 2 minutes left, a chance to win the game, with 1st place in the NFC South on the line, vs a bad team – and Baker went 4 and out.
Everything in that game came down to putting Baker in a position to win the game, and he didn’t do it.
All year I’ve given him excuses on missing guys, on Grizz calling bad games, but this is crunch time. He has the ball in his hands. They didn’t run the ball with 2 minutes left, it was 4 pass attempts. He couldn’t get 10 yards with everything on the line.
Baker HAS to play better if this team is to have a chance. He’s got 4 games left, and he’s going to need to be outstanding in all 4. I don’t see how that’s a controversial thing considering the team is built to win on offense, and scoring 20 points a game isn’t going to get it done.

i like Baker. but he’s short and stocky. he plays physically and then gets hurt. he compensates. this will not change. time to retool the team

No one remembers Bowles had discussed retirement after this season. Anyone?

The players who care are no longer angry, they are fed up with other players who do not give 100% and coaches who are the biggest part of the problem. The team needs a reboot and that starts with Bowles and possibly Licht as well. Time for a total rebuild.

A season too late with this realization 2 head coaches have come and gone and the organization couldnt Diagnose the problem early. Starts with ownership they could learn from Colts ownership

All things come to light eventually Todd doesn’t have a offensive coordinator to cover for him doesnt have Bruce Arians and Brady coat tails to ride. It was bound to happen
