Todd Bowles Evaluates Luke Goedeke Return

November 11th, 2025

Luke Goedeke

After two months on the shelf with a bad foot, Luke Goedeke magically returned Sunday and got through the entire game.

Todd Bowles hopped on radio to evalute his return.

He did better than I thought he was gonna do out there,” Bowles said. “You know, he was a little ginger at first but he went out there and he played a very good ball game. He played a very solid ball game and he came out okay, too, which was more important than anything else. But to have your right starting right tackle out there after missing him the whole year, very comforting to see.”

Indeed, Coach, “very comforting.”

Bowles’ comments came on the Buccaneers Radio Network.

Unfortunately, Goedeke’s heroic return was matched by starting left guard Ben Bredeson leaving Sunday’s game early with an injury. That was reported early as a hamstring issue but yesterday Bowles said it was a “sprain” without providing more detai.

Goedeke is big for Baker because they are two birds of the same feather. I think Charlie was too much of a nice guy. Like a gentle giant. Unfortunately, football is a very violent sport and you need to be a bit violent on the field

I thought not that michael jordan played well but #65 was horrible!!!!

all week long the media and others were talking about the Pats run defense but we ran for over 100yards with Tucker having 50+….

Grizz shouldve never abandoned the run game…we couldve feasted off of play action but Grizz is in over his head…

    GO BUCS!!!!

Can’t catch a break with our O line injuries this year. When you lose both of your starting guards, it’s gonna look rough.

  4. Buckit Says:

Yeah, Feeble, I mean Feeney, got seal clubbed.

  5. Geno711 Says:

Not saying that Michael Jordan played badly but I do remember rewinding one play that he got beat like a sack of potatoes on a pass rush stunt.

Great to see Godeke return definite improvement for the run game, The Bucs ran well againt a great team against the run. However, teams are now concentrating on Baker and are not fearing the pass game. That and with Baker playing at apparantly 50 percent, leaves the offense in dire straits. Then their is the weak play at middle linebacker, which again resulted in a huge play to start the third quarter. That in essence was the game Sunday. It now appears Godwin could be done for the season, J Mac as well. Evans is not returning until late Dec at best and who knows about Bucky. Unfortunately with so many out, weak play at middle linebacker and Baker limited another division title may be possible by default, but that is about it for this year it appears for the moment.

GIZZ IN OVER HIS HEAD . RUN ON THEM ! THEN PLAY ACTION ! NOT THAT HARD TO FIGURE OUT ! RUN GAME WAS WORKING .!

  8. Jmarkbuc Says:

Let’s hope Bredeson’s sprain isn’t actually a broken hamstring bone

  9. Gipper Says:

Get Elijah Klein ready to play Sunday. The guy certainly looks the part of an OG. If he isn’t progressing, then he is another Braswell. Really think we should know by now if these two fit into Bucs future plans.

Luke looked a little gimpy in one TV shot of the huddle. Hope it is getting better for him.

    Go Bucs!

    813Bucboi…. hard not to agree.

Bucs are still too predictable. Spread em out, use the run game and play action. Needed to happen vs Pats.

  12. orlbucfan Says:

Grizzard is still a greenhorn play caller. Sure hope he isn’t bought off. Bucs should win Sunday as Buffalo is stumbling all over the place.

Agree completely on that. I was thinking Luke might struggle a bit getting back up to speed, but I didn’t really notice him, which is what you want from your offensive lineman. When I did watch him, he was doing his job without issue. A huge step up from Heck, that’s for sure.

But the issue was the guy playing next to Luke, #65, he’s f-ing terrible. I literally saw that guy getting bowled over, knocked down and rolling over, when he was supposed to be blocking – and when he wasn’t getting knocked over, guys were just running around him. He had a truly terrible game. We need Ben back right away, then give Jordan some more snaps at RG.
