Five Things

November 10th, 2025

Emeka Egbuka came to play Sunday.

OK, rotten Sunday. Gloomy, depressing. Just like the Bucs offense. And here comes the polar vortex. Is that a sign of things to come? Grab your coffee and let’s go.

Quit Using Injuries As A Crutch

Joe wants to give Bucs offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard a pass. Injuries are a female dog.

But looking around the league yesterday, Joe saw lesser teams with lesser talents perform just as well if not better than the Bucs offense.

Joe doesn’t want to hear any more about how the offense is handicapped without Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Bucky Irving. Losing those guys would hurt any team, but your offensive coordinator is supposed to find ways to put players in positions to make plays, no matter their name recognition, Q-rating or resume.

The Dolphins scored 30 points on Buffalo yesterday. You telling Joe Miami didn’t have injuries? Mike McDaniel found a way to put points on the board.

The Jets scored 27 yesterday. The Jets! Aside from Garrett Wilson, name two of their receivers. Quick!

The slimy Saints had a rookie quarterback making his second start. They put up 17 on a solid team — and won.

The Commandos scored 22 points with that godawful runaround quarterback Marcus Mariota of all people behind center! Please!

Somehow, the aforementioned teams and coordinators found ways to put points on the board (or win games) about as much as the Bucs did, with less talent than the Bucs offense had yesterday.

Don’t tell Joe all of these teams are loaded on offense with Pro Bowlers and future Hall of Famers?

Grizzard has had how many weeks to craft an offense without Evans and Godwin and Bucky? This just in: It’s a fair bet none of those three will be available next week in Buffalo and maybe not in Los Angeles in two weeks.

Gee, a nationally-televised primetime game against a Sean McVay offense. That will be fun.

Throw Past The Sticks, Please

It’s a pet peeve of Joe’s to see quarterbacks checking down to receivers on third downs short of the sticks. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

So Joe was going nuts yesterday watching Bucs offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard having receivers run short routes when the Bucs, on third downs, needed anywhere from 8-12 yards.

Have the Bucs really dismissed the importance of punting that much that they can waste third downs in order to move forward two or three yards? Really?

It was bad when former Bucs commander Greg Schiano was doing that with Mike Glennon and it was bad yesterday when Grizzard was setting Baker Mayfield up to fail.

Fourth-and-three down one score with the ball on the New England-27 and you call a screen pass that loses three yards? Really?

An offense may get away with that crapola if their opponent is fundamentally bankrupt. That’s not Mike Vrabel’s defense. They are sound and they tackle.

Sacks And Almost-Sacks (Pressures)

Joe actually read someone on Twitter rave about the Bucs’ pass rush, crowing that on one Drake Maye pass play, the Bucs had a “great pressure.”

Yes, really. Someone had the unmitigated gall to refer to a pressure as “great.” You know, one of those almost-sacks that some stat nerds pant over like they mean something. This just in: They don’t.

Let’s roll up onto the sidewalk and take a look at how Drake Maye did under this “great” pressure: Maye threw for 270 yards, two touchdowns and averaged a whopping 16.9 yards per completion.

Yup, pressure really screwed this kid up.

A “great pressure” is only slightly better than a great toothache. As always, good quarterbacks are not significantly affected by pressures. Good quarterbacks, on the other hand, are very much affected by sacks.

Oh, sacks you ask? How did the Bucs do there? Well, Maye entered the game second in the league in sacks taken (second to Cam Ward of Tennessee). He had taken an average of 3.7 sacks a game.

Bucs coach Todd Bowles’ defense, famous in all corners of the globe for racking up several dozens of sacks each season from edge rushers, had a grand total of one sack of Maye.

Pathetic! That came from tackle Elijah Roberts.

That monster edge rush of the Bucs that puts fear into every quarterback who steps on the field against the Bucs? Zero sacks.

Are you really surprised? Joe sure isn’t.

Props To Emeka Egbuka

What a difference a rested and healthy (?) Emeka Egbuka is. The Bucs need Egbuka for the next few weeks to play like a No. 1 receiver if the Bucs are to win the NFC South and position themselves for a run through the playoffs.

However, Joe has been uncomfortable banking on a rookie to lead a team’s aerial attack. But Emeka put his claim in as the No. 1 receiver, at least until the dust settles and injured dudes heal up.

Egbuka had a touchdown and 115 yards receiving on 6 catches for just under 20 yards a catch. Egbuka is on pace for 10 touchdowns and 1,200 yards receiving.

Boy, this Bucs offense would be so screwed without Egbuka. Thank goodness Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht was playing chess while other NFL general managers were playing checkers.

Shuffling Off To Buffalo

This grim three-game stretch grew darker for the Bucs, as yesterday the plunging Dolphins scored 30 points (!) on Buffalo in an upset over the Bills in South Florida.

Joe is willing to bet the Bucs’ offense had more talent on the field yesterday than squirrely Mike McDaniel’s outfit.

In this Joe’s mind, this is setting up like the Detroit game. When the Bucs lost to Detroit before crushing the slimy Saints, the prior week the Lions got shellacked by the Chiefs. The Lions were downright angry and were waiting for the Bucs to walk into their den. And they pounded the Bucs.

The Bucs are catching the Bills at the very wrong time. And Bills head coach Sean McDermott is an underrated defensive coach despite his horrid run defense.

Memo to the Bucs: Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are unlikely to walk through that door this week. So plan accordingly. And no more using their absence as a crutch. Win with the hand that’s dealt. Other teams can and do.

I am going to Buffalo, the last season at Orchad Park, hopefully we can close it out in style. Buffalo’s WR don’t scare me nor does it’s defense but if we tackle and pursue like we did against NE the younger Cook brother will shred us.

Again, I have no idea how we can block the Rams or even touch Stafford in two weeks. Scary 3 game stretch for sure.

  2. Oxycondomns Says:

just off top of head without looking into it pats were without their starting rb stevenson and number 1 wr boute. lions shut down bucs without their secondary bucs got goedeke back he was supposed to solve everything

  3. LVMYBUCS Says:

It’s not the talent or lack there of it’s the coaching Joe. Wanna bet this season under Bowles will be like every other season. Get lucky and win a division title in a crappy division for the last couple years then lose fast in the playoffs.Same story same coaches mistakes.

  4. ChiBuc Says:

The Bucs are catching the Bills at the very wrong time

When do the Bucs get angry and pound the snot out of their opponent? These post bye week losses are pathetic

  5. Obvious One Says:

Man ….. what did we Really Expect? Did we fool ourselves into believing that talent like Coen’s is lying around in wait and we’re “Obviously” going to have another phenom rookie, Offensive coordinator year after year… Did we ALL do that? Is REALITY crashing down around us?

Well, I’m confused. (admittedly that’s not exactly rare for me) But I’m confused as to what we were all witnessing yesterday as we marched down the field just as soon as we touched the ball, made it look easier than riding a bike, and then ABSOLUTELY FEEL APART AS IF A CALL WAS MADE AND THE MAFIA MADE A WARNING THAT THE THEY JUST PUT OUT A HIT ON GRIZZARD IF HE DIDN’T ABSOLUTELY FOLD!

Is THAT what we ALL WITNESSED? Because NOTHING AFTER THE VERY FIRST DRIVE WAS…………..!

Why is it always us that turns to SH!T in seconds? What the HE!! HAPPENED?

PLEASE… Someone explain it to me. O and DON’T BOTHER with the Usual Drivel that’s puked REPEATEDLY! I and THE REST OF US HAVE ALREADY HEARD IT ALL A THOUSAND TIMES! It’s the same OLD O but we “barely” feel backwards into the playoffs SINCE the other team lost their critical game at the end of the year as we CRAWL ACROSS the playoffs line ON OUR KNEES! AND WILL THAT LUCK HOLD OUT THIS YEAR? UMMMM…..

What we DON’T HAVE is THE TRUTH! IT’S ALL A BUNCH OF NONSENSE AND IT’S ALREADY TIME FOR SOMEONE’S JOB!

I agree with Joe and have since this started. Far too many other teams ARE GETTING IT DONE with much less! There is ONLY one direction to look!

  6. FortMyersDave Says:

The loss yesterday is exactly the type of garbage we have seen from a Bowles’ coached team for large chunks of every season. Bowles is getting stubborn again too, he kept putting Morrison in the game and then Jamel Dean is on the sidelines as the rookie gets burned. Bowles’ D allowed 5 or so explosive plays, pathetic. The O put up 3 TDs and a field goal, they could run the ball but ended up playing catch up. The 4th down failures were an issue too. Bad day for the Bucs.

  7. BuddhaBuc Says:

To your point, and don’t forget Joe that the Patriots had a top receiver and running back out with injuries as well as in-game injuries that they overcame. That was a winnable game which is the most frustrating part about it. If not for last-second self restraint, I would have lost a TV over this.

  8. ek Says:

The Jets aren’t the best example – they were playing the Browns and their offense scored only 1 of those TDs.

The overall point holds, though. The offense needs to be better, regardless of all the injuries. Jordan whiffing to end that 2nd last drive was the icing on the poop cake of bad play and plays.

  9. jimmy Says:

the play calling is pathetic… lol at those who started whispering about a todd bowles coaching tree. what foolish nonsense.

  10. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Wanting to get Morrison snaps over Dean is starting to make the staff & FO look stupid at this point. Deans’ having a pro bowl worthy season, and to rookie has looked OK(that’s it & at times) before getting his boots smoked yesterday

  11. LVMYBUCS Says:

Give Morrison snaps when we are a head in the game not when we struggleing that’s why I keep saying this coaching staff has to go they have no clue what they are doing.

  12. Todd Says:

So Jason Licht you are standing pat with your hand and betting this team does not need 1 or 2 more quality players to win the Super Bowl????????

How is that going for you Jason Licht???????????

  13. ModHairKen Says:

They have won with backups before.

They lost yesterday because NE was more intense.

The Bucs could not get to the QB and could not cover the WRs. And they gave up two long runs because the Bucs LBs sucked.

And that includes David. Yes, he’s had a great career. But he also can be called out.

Bowles has to get them ready to beat Buffalo. I don’t want to hear how hard it is to win on the road. NE just did it.

Stop whining Bucs and get tougher.

    Everyone has injuries.

  14. JustOneGame Says:

    1) Maye completed passes under pressure, Baker did not.
    2) The Defense is always out of position.
    3) Receivers are always in the same area.
    4) Bucs generally play lethargic.
    5) The punter f’ng sucks, especially since he was hyped all off season.

The Bucs have the talent, they’ve beat good teams and still can. They’re just not making the plays when the opportunity is there like they were at the beginning of the year. Sometimes the players have to make the plays, Diggs wasn’t open at the end of the half, he just made the play to put up 7 for his team. Bucs need someone to step up and make the tough plays

  15. Jehzsa Says:

    Spot on!

  16. Marky Mark Says:

At least Griz wont be a head coach somewhere else next year.

  17. Marky Mark Says:

    Get an Aussie punter

  18. lambchop Says:

It was prescient of Jason Licht to not only draft Emeka but also Tez. Tex hasn’t contributed a whole lot, but he gives defenses pause to beware of his speed. 2 WRs in this past draft when we were “stacked in the WR room”.

  19. StucBuc Says:

No one is using injuries as a crutch. Jason Licht did nothing to help this team, common sense says you get help with as many out of season and injured players this team has. The eagles, Seahawks, colts and others went out and traded for players. Jason did nothing. After the bye those same players are still out. That tells me one thing they aren’t serious about winning. What does that tell the fans?

  20. Ufc e Says:

Honestly we need to draft Jeremiah Smith if we can this year. Move on from Godwin and Evans whio knows. Buy a lb and edge in free agency. Or trade up for bain of miami

  21. Alanbucsfan Says:

McCollum gets an F for this game- probably the worst of his career

  22. Inwoodjeremy Says:

Some say the first drive was scripted but I don’t buy it. If this offense and Grizz is capable of scripting a single drive then they should have ten scripted drives in the playbook by now. Drives that favor runs and drives that favor pass. Mayfield is not a true pocket passer, his best play comes from scrambling away from the rush and extending plays with his legs. Right now he is one dimensional. Teams are doubleing EE and crashing the line forcing Mayfield to force feed into tight windows or dump it short and the MIC spy waits for the RB dump. Grizz has no answer for it. Detroit exploited it, Saints just wasn’t good enough to execute it.

  23. Davenport Says:

When do the excuses stop and people start believing what they’re seeing?

We have a sufficiently talented team but good coaching beats talent when good talent is isn’t coached.

The Bucs are poorly coached and far too often poorly prepared.

  24. It's Corn Says:

I’m tired of hearing what a defensive mastermind Todd Bowles is.

One sack with these elaborate blitz packages (that don’t work against good quarterbacks), and meanwhile Anthony Nelson is playing coverage downfield so they can give up a huge play.

  25. BucU Says:

2 weeks to prepare for a huge game and this team showed nothing but confusion and lethargy. Absolutely pathetic job by Bowles and his staff. Every one of them failed miserably.
This team is weak physically and mentally.

  26. Jbeachbuc Says:

David Lee Roth …. Nice 👍

  27. Buckit Says:

A critical element has been missing from the Bucs offense for the last 3 games. And that is Baker not scrambling for first downs, or really not scrambling at all. I am thinking that Baker is not feeling healthy enough to do so, and perhaps the coaching staff is also instructing him not to, so that he can stay on the field.

  28. Stan says Says:

Joe’s turning on the team. Name a different team with at least 5 of it 11 players on offense not playing? This is why the team is in a slide. Tell me i am wrong JOE.

  29. BucaneroJim Says:

Lambchop… Tex caught 4 of 5 with two TDs. I think the fifth he caught, even though it was out of bounds. The one hand catch in the end zone was pretty impressive. EE was 6 of 13. Tez is 19/30 for the season avg 13.4 yds with 4 TDs. I think he is doing fine for a rookie. Maybe Baker will start targeting him more.

  30. BucaneroJim Says:

    Tez…sic

  31. Jehzsa Says:

Kindly consider the following. Drake Maye had his least successful game, stat wise, yesterday.

That is indicative that it all starts at the top. With Coach Vrabel.

  32. Outrigger Says:

Grizzard just doesn’t have it. I thought he would progress as a play caller as the season went on but he has regressed. You have 2 plays to make 3 yards and you’ve been running effectively in the 4th quarter. Why not a run on 3rd and 3. Or a play action rollout. On 4th and 3 you have a 5 step drop, a slow developing play, and you take a sack. How bout a 2 or 3 step drop and a slant or quick out. You only needed 3 yards!!! Unbelievable

  33. BUDLIKEDTHEBUCS Says:

oh its the yuks life again for me rarely win a big game i would like to make 1 mil to suc

  34. D-Rome Says:

    1. Agreed on injuries and Grizzard. The injuries are a huge blow, but it seemed like the offense was missing a bit of creativity yesterday. How many targets did Tez Johnson and Sterling Shepard get yesterday?

    2. Agreed.

    3. Eh, I hear you, but pressure got to Drake Maye yesterday. He didn’t have a very good game. He barely threw for 50%. He’s been leading the NFL at 74% completion percentage. I guess what I’m saying is that pressure affected his game somewhat and gave the Bucs plenty of chances to capitalize.

    4. It felt like he was targeted 20 times yesterday.

    5. Bucs have a good run defense and Buffalo’s WRs aren’t anything special. It’s their TE’s that can and will kill us. Grizzard has to find a way to get this team to score 30 points.

  35. heyjude Says:

    Right on. Joe.

I feel our injuries have hurt us, however Grizz has had time to catch up. You know it was hard for me to type this. Been rooting for him but am feeling discourse. He was with our team last season and knows the drill. Last week getting to the red zone so many times and not scoring was an eye-opener for sure.

The Bill are in a huge slump and yes, we can bet they want to tear down their house next weekend and beat us. The weather will be cold too. Hopefully, the Bucs are getting a lot of practices in at home this week in the cold. However, it’s a different cold there too. We have damp cold, they have frigid cold. The Bucs can win this game though. Go Bucs! ❄️🏈

  36. Vegasbuc Says:

Todd is still a joke…..fire Todd already.

  37. Geno711 Says:

The Buc’s WRs have to get open more.

Other than Tez and EE are there ever any receivers getting open. I look at Shepard supposedly a veteran. I don’t think I have ever seen a play on the All-22 where he has actually gotten open downfield and Baker missed him.

Shepard has consistently gotten the 2nd or 3rd most amounts of snaps for Bucs receivers this season. What does he have 295 yards, 1 TD and yesterday a horrible offensive interference call that took away a score by the Bucs.

  38. DungyDance Says:

One of the best “five things” stories I’ve read. Some simmering unspoken truths breaking out with Joe’s usual searing honesty. I actually feel a little better now. Thanks Joe.

  39. Colonel Angus Says:

Win the remaining divisional games and we win the South. Hopefully by then we’ll have our offense put back together for the playoffs.

  40. Deuceswild78 Says:

Safe to say nobody is coming knocking for grizzard… it would be helpful if baker played more angry during the game than in the press conference … he needs those angry runs

  41. Bejeezusbelt Says:

Well said Joe on all cases. Far too many times we throw post the sticks on second down and long and get nothing which leaves the third and long. New England’s recording core is about as average as can be and yet again DBs were lined up 15 yards off the ball with no pass rush. Todd made it way to easy for Maye.

  42. Upstate NY BUC Says:

McCollum OVERATED!!!!!! took the money and laid down!!! ridicules….

  43. Bucs And Them Says:

Couldn’t agree more Joe with your ‘five things’ this morning. Especially with the ‘throw past the sticks’! With the defense being a whole lot healthier than the offense, I can’t give them a pass for their ineptitude. That was an embarrassment. I would add as an aside, a ‘sixth thing’: The Bucs seem to play more focused on their ‘road games’ away than their ‘road games’ at the Ray Jay. It’s a damn shame.

  44. Smarter than Joe Says:

Licht is an absolute CLOWN for paying McCollum

Jerry Jones is an idiot for paying his good players LATE, while Licht overcompensates average players

  45. SBucs Says:

The problem is coaching. Suppose the patriot staff had the Bucs players and the Bucs staff had the patriot players. The patriot staff would have won the game. Give Todd Drake Maye and the speed receivers, a speed running back and he lfigures out how to lose the game. Todd plays not to lose, Vrabel plays to win.

  46. Buc2Blame Says:

Baker has the power to check out of plays he didn’t do that none yesterday not once

  47. Bucs4Ever Says:

    6-5 incoming

    Doom and gloom?

Reality. If Baker is hurt then bench him until he is better.

  48. MrWak Says:

I saw an “exotic” blitz dialed up and had to watch the replay to understand how Maye got off an easy slant completion for a first down. Well……..while the dbs blitzed from outside Anthony Nelson dropped back n coverage. Wanna guess where the ball went? Uh huh.

  49. Jeff Says:

Bucs have TRASH coaching. Licht and the Glazers had a chance for Coen and his elite offensive scheme could have been in Tampa Bay for a
Decade. Instead, we have Cleveland Brown aka Clueless Todd at the helm. It’s a Yucs’s life! Duh-yup!

  50. heyjude Says:

Jeff – Coen was not the answer and plus he had Mike, Chris, and Bucky at the helm. Grizz was working with them too. Plus, the way Coen went out the door didn’t leave a lot to be desired. What’s his record as HC right now for the Jags? It keeps dropping.

  51. Kenton Smith Says:

heyjude is right oftentimes. Our coaches are way above average. Jeff is-well we all know what Jeff is- our players can’t catch the ball late in the game. Our blockers can’t make the key block late. Nothing to do with coaching. Defense looks great overall but brain farts one after another when we need them the most. That stuff isn’t on the coaches.

  52. HeartyDickerson Says:

I wonder how many other coaches give their team the entire week off during the bye. Instead of practicing or taking advantage to study their opponent for 2 weeks, they all just take a vacation. And then go out and lay an egg. Shocker

  53. heyjude Says:

HeartyDickerson – Good question. I keep going back to another post that Joe wrote about Graham saying it was nice to have off mentally too. Many teams allow their players to rest during the bye with some having practices maybe M-W of that week, with the rest off. Unsure though.

DR or Pickgrin probably have facts on that, lol!

  54. stpetebucsfan Says:

I agree with Buddha, it was a “winnable” game and that can be very frustrating.

But it also provides a sliver of hope if you believe Drake Maye and the Pats are the real deal, their record and performance yesterday indicate they are!

So two good teams played and one played more disciplined inspired football than the other…barely. It’s so frustrating because it was winnable but no major injuries and no damage in the standings.

    REGROUP IT’S ON TO BUFFALO!

  55. Saskbucs Says:

Grizzard was terrible yesterday and there is no excuse for that off the bye.

I’m a pass first guy but I am also a stick to what’s working guy. Bucs were actually getting push in the run game.

3rd and 3 we got 2 run opportunities there to get a 1st down. Then you are at the 25… get the midgets outta there. Try something different. I know Tez caught 2 TDs, that’s great, why couldn’t we find him rest of the game!? Get Miller and Culp in there, bigger possession type receivers. The YAC guys outside of Emeka weren’t shaking anyone.

  56. Lifer Says:

I hate to say it, and I’m surprised it’s not already being talked about more, but yesterday was just a weird game. There’s really nothing deeper to read into it than that. The Bucs are a very good football team, and the talent on this roster is strong across every level. One off day doesn’t change that.

    Let’s look at the facts.

If you take away the three busted plays that resulted in touchdowns, the Patriots offense finished with just 239 total yards. That’s an outstanding defensive showing against an 8–2 team with a so-called “MVP-caliber” quarterback (more on him in a minute).

And about that running game, take away the two long touchdown runs, and TreVeyon Henderson would have finished with 23 yards on 12 carries, which is 1.916666666 yards per rush. That’s elite-level run defense and shows how disciplined the Bucs were for most of the day.

Now, on to Drake Maye. Remove the 72-yard catch-and-run, where the throw itself traveled only 13 yards through the air, and he ends up with under 200 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception, on just 50% completions. That’s not an MVP performance by any stretch. The long touchdown was the result of a defensive lapse, not a quarterback carving up coverage.

So, when you strip away the handful of mental errors that flipped the scoreboard, the overall story looks very different. The defense held strong, the offense was steady enough, and this team played far better than the final score suggests.

Bowles has things under control. The defense is solid. The offense is fine. The only question mark right now might be Grizzard, who hasn’t exactly impressed so far, but that’s fixable. This team is too talented, too balanced, and too well-coached not to bounce back.

Sometimes the ball just doesn’t bounce your way, and yesterday was one of those days (see: the muffed punt that somehow bounced right back to the Patriots).

Bottom line: no need to panic. This is still a very good football team that’s a few clean plays away from being right back in rhythm.

  57. heyjude Says:

Right on Kenton, it’s not all on the coaches. Hey, we had a close game there and almost got it back.

stpetebucsfan, regroup. Yes indeed. Buffalo awaits.

  58. AstralTurf Says:

folks are on here predicting 6-5 to dog the coaching staff. Did they predict 6-2? not on your life.

  59. Mr_Barf Says:

Why can’t Culp be put in as an receiver? What’s there to lose? Big azz target catch zone on him.

  60. Kenton Smith Says:

heyjude, stpetebucsfan is here to help us stay sane. But I’m looking for Defense Rules to tell us what happened yesterday and I read Lifer posting and wonder where he’s been all our lives. Great job Lifer. Still need DR to put the nail in the coffin for us.

  61. jimmy Says:

turning up the gas….”well if you take away the 240 yards in long plays, and that other play, and the injuries and grizz being an idiot…WE”RE SUPERBOWL BOUND!!!!!!BOI!!!

  62. capebuc Says:

On the bright side Bucs Nation, at least we didn’t lose to a Davis Mills-powered Texans team after leading by 19 points…

  63. Joe Says:

    Thanks guys!

  64. Bucks 'n' Bucs Says:

LIFER!!! Someone finally said it. Take away 3 plays and we win 24-7 (yes we would have kicked that extra point instead of blowing the 2 pointer!) Can’t blame injuries on offense. Can’t really blame the defense.

Don’t hang your heads, Bucs! We really ARE a great team. And the bad luck WILL end.

  65. #1bucsfan Says:

Dang Joe you took the words right outta my mouth with most of this article. Throwing short of the sticks not getting a sack on the 2nd most sacked QB in the league like come on and this dam play calling. Baker not scrambling and taking terrible sacks. Bucs offense has died and left.

  66. BillMFl Says:

. Talk about loosers la ment. The Bucs got beat by a dam good team. No shame in that. The two long touchdown runs were the killer And Baker has not looked all that great the last couple games. The Bucs season is not over because they lost that game. They need to put on
their big boy pants and punish the next opponent. That game and the next two are very tough opponents. The Bucs should make the playoffs given the weakness of their division. Realistically I dont see them in the Superbowl. I give them a decent chance of making it to the second round. Would love to see them in the Super Bowl but it ain’t gonna happen unless all their best players are back and healthy.

  67. Boltsfan17 Says:

This is all very simple. This team is vastly overrated and until there are changes in the front office and sideline you’re wasting your time with team.

  68. Drdneast Says:

The absence of quality offensive lineman is what is hurting the Bucs the most, not the loss of Evans and Irving. The team is fine with Ebuke and Tucker if they would just use him. Other than that I pretty much agree with Joe. Have to say the loss of Bredersn yesterday hurt the team the most. he first drive he was in the Bucs drive down the field easily. Afterwards, playing with two practice squad guards, not so much. Hence the shorter passes. So why not pass more on first down and attack the opposition like you have two down to make a first instead of three. The reason for the shorter passes is they don;t trust their guard to hold up for longer pass plays to develop.

  69. JohnQCitizen Says:

    It’s all on Todd.

  70. RustyRhinos Says:

All these negative Nancy’s… Had we scored 1 TD when we had to kick a FG we win this game. Had we gotten a stop, on their long scores this could have been a different game score…
