Tristan Wirfs Talks Beating Aidan Hutchinson And Busting Balls

What an assignment the Bucs have tonight against beastly Lions edge rusher Aidan Hutchison. Joe’s wearing custom made Charlie Heck survival beads.
All-World Bucs left tackle Tristan Wirfs hopped on FanDuel Sports Network to talk about all things Bucs and the matchup against Hutchinson (6 sacks, 4 forced fumbles).
Wirfs said tonight will be about revving up to play at Hutchinson’s pace.
“I think the biggest thing, everybody sees it, too, is just his motor. Relentless,” Wirfs said of Hutchinson. “I think the biggest thing for us is matching that energy. …If we can match that, I think we’ll be ok.”
Will Hutchinson spent time lining up across from Wirfs? Joe isn’t expecting much of that.
The Bucs will have a great shot at a critical “W” if they can keep Hutchinson away from Baker Mayfield.
As for the franchise quarterback, Wirfs acknowledged that the locker room has heard all the MVP chatter for Mayfield and isn’t letting it go.
“We kind of just bust his balls about it,” Wirfs said.

We don’t want Heck on either side but wouldn’t it be amazing if we saw true in game swing tackles. We know Wirfs can do it… I’m sure it would lead to illegal motions but imagine Wirfs just following Hutchinson haha playing both Left and Right depending on where Aidan lines up!

Heck, Payne Durham and Rashaad can neutralize Hutchinson. Just keep chipping away at him all night. Nothing wrong with two TE sets if it keeps Baker upright.

He had 4 sacks last season and we still won. So stopping him isn’t the key to the game. Out scoring Detroit is the real key.
