With the exception of Hurtvocea and Iwearmybrasowell, I love our last 3 drafts. Jason Licht has learned from his mistakes, and is at the peak of his powers.
JL is a top 5 GM in the NFL! Find me another team with more homegrown players that have made the playoffs & won a SB in the last 5 years. Hint: you wonât!!

Can’t vote totally confident when you make moves like
-Guaranteeing Godwin over $40 million after coming off a major injury
-Signing Reddick when other options were available
-Ignoring the MLB position
-Banking on the “Hope strategy” versus stacking the roster at positions of need
Good GM but can’t give him too much love when he continually Over Pays his underperforming draft picks and re-signs injured guys and hopes and prays they come back fully healthy
“Thoughts & Prayers” is not a sound plan for building a football team
With our luck it’s dangerous to go and trade for a top level edge rusher. We lose valuable pics, we spend a lot of money and the guy will just end up getting hurt with the Bucs luck. Then all the pics are gone, our salary cap is strained, cash out the window on a dude on IR. Might as well just avoid all of that. đŤ¤
In some respect Jason is a top flight GM, so overall I am confident in him. Just kind of unhappy that he has not done anything to positively address the lack of edge rush. Jason likes to buy out of the bargain bin and sometimes you canât do that. Especially with good edge rushers.
-Guaranteeing Godwin over $40 million after coming off a major injury That was not a brilliant move. I agree.
-Signing Reddick when other options were available Who were the others available? Reddick was near the top of the list. I personally didn’t want him, but plenty here did. Still, it was a smart decision because he took a one year prove it deal. A gamble? Yes. But a one year gamble that could have paid off.
-Ignoring the MLB position Just how many draft picks do you thing we get each year? Licht addressed the defense in the draft, and he is making sure we do not have cap issues going forward. We have a lot of great players that will need contracts soon.
-Banking on the âHope strategyâ versus stacking the roster at positions of need Limited roster spots. Our depth this year has been remarkable. I’d like to know what you consider ‘stacking the roster’? Limited spots for each position, and we have great quality depth at most spots.
Itâs hard to take this seriously when the trolls get on just to be negative I have complete confidence in both head coach and GM âŚ.stuff happens and we respond without crying that been a BUCCS life from the jump so when I see the naysayers or crybabies on here I be like what team did yâall recently come from because buccaneers take what they get without bi+<#!n about it
If you don’t waste $22 Million on Godwin and $15 Million on Reddick. You can go into free agency and get a LB, a receiver and other positions of need
Bucs could’ve targeted these free agent edge rushers, all who were more productive than Reddick in 2024 and are better than him in 2025
Chase Young
Demarcus Lawrence
Joey Bosa
Like I said Licht is good, his problem is he’s too reactive and not proactive enough. Hoping Godwin, and Dennis come back 100% from injuries that ended their seasons is not smart. Not every player is gonna be the same after an injury and as a GM you have to think ahead.
No one could’ve predicted all of the injuries the Bucs have endured, but a good GM gives his team a chance with adding a WR while Evans, Godwin and McMillan heal up.
I hear your critique âsmarter than Joeâ, but Lichtâs commitment to homegrown guys is part of why the culture is so fantastic for this team. No philosophy is perfect but itâs pretty cool hearing how much these guys all enjoy working together.

I see there are two votes for “no confidence”. It must be a vote from Jeff along with one of his sock puppets. đ

Do you trust Licht to make trades this season to help the Bucs make a deep playoff run. = Zero Confidence
October 28th, 2025 at 7:49 am
⢠Totally Confident Licht wonât make a trade.

Very Confident, since I don’t think he’ll make any quality player trades to help solidify a deep playoff run.

In JL we trust, but not on this deadbeat of HC.

GO BUCS!!!!

Jeff and his aliases voting no confidence I see.
Only dummies and trolls would not see how good JL is. He’s better than any other GM we’ve had, including Rich McKay.
October 28th, 2025 at 9:04 am
As to Todd Bowles…I like him…he makes mistakes, yes, but he’s mostly solid.
No that he finally started addressing the defense in the draft, it’s developing nicely. Getting better and better.
October 28th, 2025 at 9:05 am
People doubted Licht.
People doubted Baker.
People doubted Bowles.
Whoops.

I see that the confidence train to fantasy land is still on the tracks.
Will another round one exit bring you guys back to reality?

Smarter than Joe
Do you ever have anything positive to say?

To be fair…Licht has gotten us JPP, Suh and Barret in the past…when the time was right. He’ll do what he needs to at the right moment.

Id be more confident if he forced a new DC that can coach this defense to keep the better offenses in the NFL out of the end zone….
