Luke Goedeke, Bucs Agree To New Contract
September 2nd, 2025
New contract.
UPDATED: Bucs right tackle Luke Goedeke will be around Tampa Bay for four more years.
At least that’s the goal of his brand new contract. The 2022 second-round pick was in a contract year. “Was” being the operative word. Per NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Goedeke signed a four-year extension today.
Goedeke has developed into one of the better right tackles in the game. Between him and Tristan Wirfs at left tackle, the Bucs have one of the best tackle duos in the NFL.
Reportedly, Goedeke will receive some $90 million over the length of the contract with $50 million guaranteed, a shade more than two seasons. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports the new deal starts next season, though other reports are unclear. The contract makes Goedeke the third-highest paid right tackle in the game.

Congrats to Luke. Should be a solid anchor on the right side, so long as the concussion issues are behind him…

Great move! Love it. He’s a mauler.
September 2nd, 2025 at 7:02 pm
Awesome news, we have one of the best tackles duos in the league locked up for the long haul love it! Top 5 online when healthy!!

This O-Line is really solid and young and with Baker and these skill players in Bucky and others makes this a formidable contender this year and many more to come. But about that Putrid Pass Defense and soft coverage on 3rd downs, please make it STOP this year!! GO BUCS!!

Did they create enough cap space to bring Trask back? lol
September 2nd, 2025 at 7:14 pm

September 2nd, 2025 at 7:24 pm
2nd Best RT the Bucs have ever had. The 1st is playing on the other side of the line.
September 2nd, 2025 at 7:32 pm
Schefter is saying it’s $90 million.
September 2nd, 2025 at 7:33 pm
Wonder if the Bucs hold off on Zyon a little bit, to see how he plays during the season before committing long term.
I would extend M1K3 now for another year, and get it out the way.

All us day 1 glass eaters are proud of our mid western man
September 2nd, 2025 at 7:52 pm
Why can’t they spring for an edge rusher again?
September 2nd, 2025 at 7:53 pm
Good deal for both parties. Luke gets paid a year early, Bucs save money in the long run.
September 2nd, 2025 at 8:00 pm
if Heck flames out, could he play LT
September 2nd, 2025 at 8:04 pm
Great news. Both tackles locked up for the next four years. Super hard to replace a top-notch tackle. Just ask the Chiefs!
September 2nd, 2025 at 8:12 pm
Licht gets the deal done early, saving money and without drama. Unlike drama queen Jerry Jones.
September 2nd, 2025 at 8:12 pm
Glad we resign him he’s a good RT .
September 2nd, 2025 at 8:17 pm
Hopefully this has absolutely nothing to do with Tristan’s health.
September 2nd, 2025 at 8:20 pm
Best financial move this season.
September 2nd, 2025 at 8:37 pm
This is fantastic. Both tackles locked up.
September 2nd, 2025 at 8:46 pm
I figured he’d get $22.5m a year on a new deal, and he got $22.5m. Damn I’m good.
September 2nd, 2025 at 8:50 pm
Good.
Expecting to read that he’ll undergo surgery on Friday for something they were hoping would heal since January.
Go Bucs.
September 2nd, 2025 at 8:57 pm
lol aqualung
September 2nd, 2025 at 8:59 pm
This is great news, you solidified your tackles for the next half decade with what is the best 1-2 combo in the league. Only issue is trying up a lot of money there, so you’ll have to find savings elsewhere, but can deal with that later.

Well deserved Luke! Keeping your own players is massively important. The days of letting Michael Bennets walk is long gone.
September 2nd, 2025 at 9:19 pm
Fantastic! Congratulation to him!
September 2nd, 2025 at 9:19 pm
Congrats Luke! As much as anyone deserves that kind of money you earned it. Been one of the most consistent trying to get better. Always in the facility and weight room. Keep earning it.
September 2nd, 2025 at 9:35 pm
Happy to have him long term. Now stay healthy Luke and don’t let Baker go head bashing on you in excitement!
Hopefully next years swing tackle is in house already as well. Continuity on the OL, gotta love it.

Money well spent!!! Now LG go show the league and talking heads why you’re getting the big bucks!!

Good quote, SenileSenior. The guitar solo by Martin Barre is my fave part of the song.
September 2nd, 2025 at 10:04 pm
And Tampa fans claimed he was a wasted pickk
September 2nd, 2025 at 10:11 pm
is he the third best right tackle ? i guess this is the answer on why players like to stay in tampa. bucs overpay despite no state tax
September 2nd, 2025 at 10:20 pm
Rich McKay Special !! Good for both parties!!
Lil Richie has never gotten the credit he deserves
…… Lil Rich was the best trader , signer , contract / roster crafter in the NFL
Totally over shadowed by Dungy and Gruden
September 2nd, 2025 at 10:51 pm
i think 12.5 per year is guaranteed, 10 not, according to starbux chat
September 2nd, 2025 at 10:53 pm
Congrats Luke!
September 2nd, 2025 at 11:21 pm
Well deserved. Luke was a borderline Pro Bowl performer last year in just his 3rd year in the league.
This is a 4 year extension btw. So Goedeke is under contract with the Bucs for 5 years – through the 2029 season.
Take care of that Noggin Luke!
September 2nd, 2025 at 11:22 pm

Yes, he actually probably is you moron. Pay attention instead of sniffing glue.

OVERPAID? KNOW YOIR HISTORY.
Name the time Licht lost a key player because of money?
Never.
He’s the only GM in NFL history to resign all 22 starters after a Super Bowl. Don’t worry about the money. Licht always has that part figured out.
September 3rd, 2025 at 6:34 am
Excellent! Thank you, Mr. Licht!

“”Expecting to read that he’ll undergo surgery on Friday for something they were hoping would heal since January.””
We have a keystone cops medical staff here. Multi billion dollar organization and they hire medical staff from Faber College.

Good news!
Congrats to the Glass Eater! Kudos to Jason and the gang for getting this one done as well.
Go Bucs!
