Get Outta Here With This Atlanta Noise
September 29th, 2025
Still Kings of the South.
Man, BSPN is so desperate for the Dixie Chicks to win the NFC South, it wouldn’t shock Joe one bit if it leaked that the suits at BSPN asked NFL strongman Roger Goodell for some zebra intervention to make sure the Bucs lost yesterday.
(Given how you can drag back Chris Godwin by his T-shirt which an entire stadium saw but the zebras fully “missed” it, Joe’s statement about crooked zebras doesn’t sound so crazy, does it?)
So yesterday the Dixie Chicks won their second game of the season over the Marcus Mariota-led Commandos. The folks at the four-letter are already asking if Atlanta finally will snap the Bucs’ four-year reign as kings of the NFC South.
Really?
At least there is a voice of reason at BSPN. And this man’s name is Dan Graziano. He spelled it out how thinking the Bucs losing one game means the team is doomed is just crazy talk.
Verdict: OVERREACTION
The Falcons beat the Buccaneers twice last season and still didn’t win the division. Tampa Bay already has a head-to-head win over the Falcons, having beaten them in Week 1. As promising as Penix might be, Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield has a ton more experience winning big games, including late-game comebacks. The Bucs are bound to get healthier this season, and I repeat, they have won this division four seasons in a row — and won the Super Bowl as a wild-card team the season before the streak started.
The Bucs quietly have been one of the league’s model franchises this decade. They know how to win. The Falcons are still figuring it out, and remain a game back and have that head-to-head loss. You can’t count out the Falcons, especially if their offense continues to look like it did Sunday. But until we see it happen, the Bucs have earned the benefit of the doubt and still deserve to be considered the NFC South favorites.
Man, those folks up in Connecticut are so in heat for Michael Penix — who Joe likes — that they are hallucinating thinking he’s the next Jayden Daniels.
Yeah, the Bucs shat themselves in a winnable game against the Eagles. It happens. To every team.
Just because the Bucs lost to the defending Super Bowl champions doesn’t mean Joe should start focusing on the draft today and type the obit on the Bucs’ 2025 season.
As Graziano pointed out, that’s getting so ahead of your skis you faceplant into the snow.

@Seattle
49ers
@Detroit
Aints
Need to go into the bye with 5 wins minimum probably 6 to win the division
Can’t count on Todd Blows Defense or this team to ever be healthy
September 29th, 2025 at 9:05 am
I do not understand the penix hype but im glad he’s in atlanta.
September 29th, 2025 at 9:06 am
“it wouldn’t shock Joe one bit if it leaked that the suits at BSPN asked NFL strongman Roger Goodell for some zebra intervention to make sure the Bucs lost yesterday.”
We can’t rule this out Joe. Refs definitely haven’t done us any favors through these first 4 games.
September 29th, 2025 at 9:08 am
Good Morning, The Cooter family was enjoying our morning coffee and discussing the Buccaneers, we all agreed that the Bucs will not win more then 2 more games, we know realize our defense can’t stop a cold and Faker Mayfied continues to make bad decisions with interceptions that cost Games, I believe the Falcons win the Division, followed by Carolina then a battle between the Saints and Bucs for 4th.. Thank You for your attention to this matter!!! Cooter Family
September 29th, 2025 at 9:26 am
5-3 heading in to the bye.
September 29th, 2025 at 9:28 am
Cooter,
Being down on your team is natural. However, the defense showed up in the second half yesterday. If you are still making dumb nicknames for Baker because you don’t like him, at this point the problem is you.
September 29th, 2025 at 9:31 am
You know you have a good football team when you have retarded trolls continuously stopping by fan sites. Bucs are 3-1, new OC, injuries and one of Jerry’s kids coaching the “special” teams. The next four games will tell a lot about the team. Bucs will be 7–2 at the bye and more trolls will show up to this here site. Go Bucs!
September 29th, 2025 at 9:34 am
@Justonegame
If the Bucs are 7-2 at the BYE I will retire the Todd Blows nickname, that he has rightfully earned
September 29th, 2025 at 9:38 am
I don’t like to predict wins or losses because of the “any given Sunday” theory. But I will not stop harping about this couching staff and Jamel Dean sorry as.
September 29th, 2025 at 9:39 am
A win in Seattle would go along way in showing how good this team can be! Make it happen!!
September 29th, 2025 at 9:45 am
The Fox cameras caught 3 Eagles jersey pulling instances. Only one of those was flagged, and there were probably more. It appears they may be coached to do it.
September 29th, 2025 at 9:48 am
@joe it was said in the comments of a couple of your previous posts but its obvious that Licht made a mistake by not giving Coen the HC job and either relegating Bowles to an office job or giving him the option to retire. Now we will be stuck with a sloppy, undisciplined, “lifeless” as you put it team for the next 3 years instead of someone who can actually show some emotion and get his team pumped up for big games instead of coming out flaccid consistently for those games
September 29th, 2025 at 9:59 am
The NFL is the best. The fan base of every undefeated team that lost yesterday is mad. Everything here changes if we beat Seattle up there. We need to avoid the annual 1-4 stretch and get to (almost) halfway point at 5-3, then hit our normal late season run of wins.
September 29th, 2025 at 10:00 am
@Jughead
Logically it made ZERO sense to keep Todd, the team wins in spite of him not because, of him. Coen came in and after one year had the offense humming and running great. Todd had been here since 2019 and the defense is consistently great at stopping the run but can’t defend the pass for anything…
Why reward someone for being mediocre at their job? Coen was amazing on offense, in Jacksonville, he’s hired a competent defensive coordinator and they are competitive and winning.
Hopefully the Bucs front office recognizes the value of a high performing offense vs a guy who can’t solve pass D
September 29th, 2025 at 10:00 am
Hey the defense did not lose the game
The turnovers and blocked punt did
Eagles had -1 yds in second half
Stop blaming coach players did not execute
One thing though Bucky was down DBs held Bucs WR the whole game
Refs are crooks
September 29th, 2025 at 10:04 am
2-2 in the next four is critical. Each year for the last several, they have started out hot, then cooled off, and then rallied at the end of the season.
Similarly, in games, they start off slow, then they warm up, and they pull it out at the end in the wins.
It’s time for Bowles and Licht to look at this thing from top down and figure out why they start the game so slow and why they run into this midseason funk.
Don’t do it this year, Coach!
And as disappointing as yesterday was, they did prove that they can play with the Eagles. Even with all of these injuries.
September 29th, 2025 at 10:04 am
What great Falcons offense? Put up a zero last week vs Panthers?
September 29th, 2025 at 10:13 am
Fans are upset at the L, mainly due to knowing this team is lacking in the coaching department. Smart fans see the 2, 3 or 4 loss streak coming.
September 29th, 2025 at 10:20 am
You know we’re coming off a loss when the trolls dominate the comments section. Same ones, repeat comments, nothing original, blah blah blah. What an unhappy life.
September 29th, 2025 at 10:34 am
It’s actually getting ridiculous on how many trolls are in the comment sections. this site is actually being taken over by trolls.
September 29th, 2025 at 10:36 am
Cooter is slang for a lady part. Have a great day troll. 🙂
September 29th, 2025 at 10:40 am
The Falcons have a tough road ahead of them as well. NO WAY are they favorites after this Bucs start. The Falcons play the Bills next week and still have to play teams like the Rams, Seahawks, 49ers, improved Colts team plus the Bucs. It’s just Falcons silly talk!!
September 29th, 2025 at 10:48 am
So objectively, what will be a good season? We started off 3-0 winning all 3 by a combined 6 points. Against teams that were 1-8 at the time. Does the 8-10 wins, first round exit get Bowlers.fired? Rightfully so. But what about the Qb too? Are we just going to say injuries doomed his season? So 2026 will be the big year??
September 29th, 2025 at 10:50 am
So the morons at ESPN forget that this same ATL team lost to Carolina last week 30-0.
September 29th, 2025 at 10:51 am
Smarter Than Joe … ‘Coen was amazing on offense, in Jacksonville, he’s hired a competent defensive coordinator and they are competitive and winning.’
Jaquars are truly doing very well so far this season, and yes it is a reflection on Coen, but maybe not because he’s ‘amazing on offense’. Jags are averaging 24 PPG thus far, almost identical to the Bucs (24.3 PPG). But they’re doing it much differently it appears: Jags defense has 13 takeaways (including 9 INTs) and is ranked #4 overall (#4 in Run Defense but #24 in Pass Defense). They’ve only made 4 turnovers themselves, so their average Turnover Differential in each game is over 3-1 (hard to lose games when you defense keeps taking the ball away from your opponent & handing it back to your offense).
The Jags running game is also in high gear. They’re run for 576 yards in those 4 games (144 YPG average) and are doing it at a 5.0 YPC clip. Sound familiar to last year? (Travis Etienne is killing it, rushing for 394 yds at a 6.0 YPC clip). Ironically, Trevor Lawrence is only throwing at a 58% completion percentage. So I’d say that Coen is being smart & focusing on the run almost 45% of the time.
Like the Bucs though, the next 3 games will tell folks a lot more about who the Jags are. They face the Chiefs, Seahawks & Rams, but all at home.
September 29th, 2025 at 10:57 am
Shame the coaching staff can’t get the team to start playing from the opening kickoff. SLOW starts cost wins!!!!

BINGO!!!!!!!
GO BUCS!!!!!!
September 29th, 2025 at 11:57 am
If the defense plays like yesterday’s second half for 60 minutes, Bucs will win 12. Provided Magoo is “fixed.”
September 29th, 2025 at 12:05 pm
Joe there were too many to count pass interferences that went uncalled yesterday, I could not believe what I was seeing. That referee crew should be disciplined.
But the fact remains that if the punt was not blocked the subsequent touchdown was not scored the Bucs win the game. The Bucs should not have another punt blocked all season.
Go Bucs
September 29th, 2025 at 12:06 pm
Well isn’t that what we all expect from those Asshats? Days of respected sports journalism are long gone Joe. They will fire Graziano if he keeps deviating from the party line. You just watch.
Bowles and the Bucs need to finally understand that Tampa has to beat the other team and the Refs each week. Quit with the lackadaisical starts. Bowles and company need to crawl all over these officials to the point of getting tossed. Maybe that would actually change something.
Go Bucs!
September 29th, 2025 at 12:13 pm
Aqualung, if the defense plays like it did in the second half the rest of this year then you’ll be so gorged on crow and uncooked kale you won’t have the room in your tummy for libations at our Super Bowl party!
September 29th, 2025 at 12:14 pm
“Todd Blows Defense”
And today’s Pee Wee Herman award for “Intellectual Maturity”goes to someone who calls himself “smarterthan”
First he needs to top Pee Wee Herman’s smarts before he impresses me.
So perhaps we can take a poll. How many thing this loser is smarter than PeeWee Herman?
September 29th, 2025 at 12:15 pm
Can we PLEASE get a real defensive coordinator ? It’s pretty obvious by now that these schemes just aren’t working
September 29th, 2025 at 12:18 pm
What!? TB show any emotion on the sidelines…preposterous!!
September 29th, 2025 at 12:28 pm
Simple Bucs were robbed by Refs clearly see the Pass Interference an holding an that Bucky was down on the ground his leg was down an I didn’t think groud could cause a fumble
September 29th, 2025 at 12:52 pm
Hot take here that the only team in this division that actually will have a winning record when the season is done is the Bucs. I bet Atlanta does not even get to 500
September 29th, 2025 at 1:00 pm
I’ve said it before, I hoped the Bucs would come out of this 4-game gauntlet at 5-2. The only game in the next 3 that will be a real challenge is the one with the Lions in Detroit. So, that should land the Bucs at 5-2. The rest of the schedule is pretty favorable. I’m sticking with my prediction of 12-5 season. But please, fix the special teams play!
September 29th, 2025 at 1:07 pm
BSPN is the worst, they overreact every single week. Week one they were crowning Green Bay
September 29th, 2025 at 1:10 pm
The cooter family has spent the majority of the day reading comments in this section and no the Cooter’s do not hate Mr Mayfield, he just cost us big games all the time, at this point perhaps Teddy “2 Gloves” Bridgewater deserves the opportunity, they have the Hawks, Lions, Saints and Patriots coming up, Mr Faker should have had 3 ints but escaped by having penalties called in the Eagles
September 29th, 2025 at 1:18 pm
The Bucs should wear tear-off jerseys, this would end the other team getting away with holding our player’s jerseys.
September 29th, 2025 at 1:27 pm
I used to enjoy reading the comments here. Now I’ll only read Joe’s post. Most of the noise afterward (not all!) seems to be from people who just want to see their names in lights.
September 29th, 2025 at 1:52 pm
@DR
You make one he!! of a GREAT POINT as to WHY we WOULD BE ABSOLUTELY DOMINATE if, if we would have traded Bowles in for Coen… THR RESULTS ARE as you point out, CLEAR…
BUT…. They weren’t going to get rid of Bowls. They INSIST ON RESUSCITATING him year after year. The timing wasn’t right to make THE RIGHT MOVE however because at it’s simplest, they (Glazers) insist that they CAN force a square peg in a round hole.
The TRUTH IS that Bowles hasn’t been well rounded enough to take us to a Super Bowl and I for one doubt he’ll get us there. HIS IMPROVEMENTS SIMPLY AREN’T COMING ALONG FAST ENOUGH AND WE’RE ABOUT TO LOSE OUR TWO MAIN STAY (FACE OF THE FRANCHISE) PLAYERS, TO “AGE”.
It was a MASSIVE MISSED OPPORTUNITY when the OWNERSHIP GOT SLOPPY AND LET COEN OUT OF THE BUILDING… ” MASSIVE MISTAKE ”
In my humble as I can be point of view, We COULD HAVE gone to the Super Bowl This Year and SET A NEW NFL RECORD WITH A TRIP TO THE BIG SHOW WITH A FIRST YEAR HEAD COACH! That would have been a he!! of a ride. O well… as they say….,
IT’S A BUCS LIFE!
September 29th, 2025 at 1:57 pm
Coen has a future. Bowles time is just about out
September 29th, 2025 at 1:57 pm
We will crush the Sea-Chickens next week. Book it.
This team needed a wakeup call. You can’t sleepwalk into the season, win 3 weeks in a row with late game heroics … without it coming back to bite you. It did.
Let’s see what a full game of all phases playing their best will look like.
September 29th, 2025 at 2:09 pm
Atlanta … The Pig of our division. Well, No Matter how much LIP STICK, they STILL SMELL LIKE S#!T! GET OUTTA HERE! 0 to 30 the week before and that indicates winners? Only a retard would believe such drivel…
They media are PAID TO PLAY THE FOOL! Does ANYONE have a doubt in their mind that, that isn’t the truth??!!
September 29th, 2025 at 2:22 pm
Obvious One, don’t start telling us DR would rather us have Coen than Bowles. He is smarter than you are-not even close. And stpetebucsfan, Pee Wee Herman is smarter than smarter than any day of the week.
September 29th, 2025 at 2:24 pm
this is the beginning of our annual four game losing streak guys, we’ll bounce back towards thanksgiving when we get more healthy, it’sa long season
September 29th, 2025 at 2:50 pm
Coen will be exposed as the season goes on…. In the meantime I’m sure he will enjoy aquaboy and obviously one continuing to lick his nuts.
September 29th, 2025 at 3:10 pm
Obvious One … Turns out that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side of the fence. Liam Coen has the Jags with a 3-1 record like us, but they haven’t played the toughest part of their schedule yet either (neither have we).
They’ve won mostly because of defense & their running game. Their offense is rated middle-of-the-pack (#16) like we are (#14), but their defense is rated #4 overall right now … and #1 in turnovers (with 13 thru 4 games). The veteran QB (Lawrence) is only completing his passes at a 58% clip. Nothing to write home about there.
And Coen was handed a fairly decent team (unlike poor Dave Canales?) with some talented players. They totally turned over their coaching staff this year, and it’s paying off. I really like what their DC, Anthony Campanile, is doing (his first time as a DC, but he’s had some great mentors in Brian Flores among others).
But don’t sell Todd Bowles short. This Bucs’ team has been almost totally rebuilt since he took over as HC in 2022 (only 8 players … 15% … remain from the end-of-year 2021 team). Winning with a team undergoing rebuilding is no easy task. TB was the one who got Baker Mayfield here (after playing arm-twisting with JL?). And even though we’ve put most of our available salary CAP into the offense, TB’s brought on some pretty decent youngsters on defense AND he’s trained them up (you & I both know that he’s got a huge say who plays for this defense). And oh ya, he’s the one who’s picked the last 3 new rookie OCs (they seem to be doing OK). Like I said earlier, don’t sell him short. The Glazers haven’t.
