Gerald McCoy Warns Eagles Fans: Here Come The Bucs
September 3rd, 2025
GMC believes in the Bucs.
Former Bucs Pro Bowl defensive tackle Gerald McCoy is not ashamed or shy one bit about being open as one of the most visible Bucs fans in the national media.
Yes, Joe typed “national media.” That’s because GMC works for NFL Network. And GMC is pretty good at his job, too. Eloquent. Well-thought-out takes. Good insight. Solid analysis.
GMC has also let it be known if any team is going to take down the Super Bowl champion Eagles this year, it isn’t the Commandos and it isn’t the Rams or the Packers or the Lions.
It is the Bucs. On Tuesday, GMC went on NFL Network and called out the Eagles.
Be careful, GMC said. Here come the Bucs!
And Joe thinks GMC is right. The Bucs are a bad matchup for the Eagles. Jalen Hurts is 1-4 in his career facing a Todd Bowles defense. And the Eagles currently have a two-game losing streak to the Bucs.
Two years ago, the Bucs slapped around Philadelphia so badly and Vita Vea beat up Jason Kelce so much, Vea and the Bucs drove Kelce into retirement by pounding the Eagles in the playoffs.
And then last year, the Bucs slapped around the Eagles in the regular season.
(Stop with the “But Joe, the Eagles were without their two best receivers.” So what! Were the Bucs supposed to lay down for the Eagles then? Were the Bucs supposed to bench Mike Evans and Chris Godwin because Philadelphia was short-handed?)
So beware, Eagles. The Bucs are lurking.
Who is the biggest threat to the Eagles in 2025?
The answer is obvious to @Geraldini93 😉 pic.twitter.com/mxoqtCVz8x

Personally, I wish kimono boy would stop appointing himself official mouthpiece of the Bucs.
Never much card for his opinion when he was on the team.

Stop with the “But Joe, the Eagles were without their two best receivers.”

And the Bucs were without the best safety in football, Winfield, the teams sack leader, Kancey and starting MLB Dennis.

We’re nothing until we’re something! Do we have a decent team? yeah. SB caliber? …heh, a lot to prove over the next 3 months….gotta be ready guys.
But first, the other dodo birds, Atlanta!

Good old Gerald lobbying his hardest to pump up the Bucs and being a big ole fan boy glitter and all, in hopes of team Glazer to induct him into the Ray Jay Ring of Honor, 😂.
In my opinion it’s a little over the he top because we all know who the real #93 was and he has a ring and coaches up Vita in the offseason.
Keep being a fan boy Gerald.
LFG BUCS!!!!

If we limit our mistakes and are relatively healthy, they all better beware. We will be v e r y hard to beat. Baker and the boys will out score most, if not all in 2025–Dangerous we will be🏴☠️

Everyone has the blueprint on how to beat Dotd’s “defense” now. Take the wide open 7 yard pass every time. Ball comes out in half a second and even if the pass rushers actually happen to be rushing the passer the ball is out so quick they have no time to disrupt the QB. It’s the Defensive Genius At Work.
