Bucs-Eagles Game Is Not Sold Out

September 28th, 2025

Team Glazer might want to scrutinize ticket pricing.

Just like last week, it’s the morning of a Bucs home game and the game is not sold out.

Joe sure hopes Team Glazer realizes that more than $180 for the cheapest upper deck seat is not working.

Ownership is in place to make a profit, but at what cost?

In 2012, the least expensive upper deck seats were $30 each as season tickets with a $15 charge for a youth ticket. The Bucs were proud of that pricing and trumpeted it across the land. In 2017, those seats were $45 each on a season ticket rate (8 regular season games, two preseason).

The Bucs are off to their best start in 20 years (3-0) and the undefeated Eagles are today’s opponent. It’s a heavyweight bout with maximum drawing power. And it’s gotten a lot of local and national hype, yet plenty of tickets remain. Most sections have available unsold tickets.

That should let Team Glazer know their pricing structure isn’t quite right.

    Best economy ever!

  2. Larrd Says:

I have three teenage boys. It would cost us a thousand bucks to go sweat in the nosebleeds at 90F. We will just buy $50 in pizzas and watch on the bigscreen tv instead. A no-brainer.

  3. Jmarkbuc Says:

NFL owners don’t care if anyone is in the stadium.

The TV money is all that counts..

  4. BigBuc Says:

TICKETS ARE WAY TO EXPENSIVE! I RATHER JUST WATCH FROM THE HOUSE THEN DROP OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR MY FAMILY AND I TO SIT ON THE THIRD DECK TO WATCH GAME LOL

  5. JTHV Says:

It’s hot as hades and nosebleeds prices are triple what they should be? What can go wrong?

The reality is it’s hot and nobody wants to deal with Eagles fans.

  6. loweredexpectations Says:

i prefer high school and college games for the atmosphere. pro games are so sterile and the ticket prices are insulting. add in the weather in tampa in september and the fact that away teams draw such huge sections in tampa… meh. thanks fot calling them out, joe.

  7. JTHV Says:

To those of you choosing to stay home and spend $50 on pizza instead of taking your family to a sporting event they will remember forever, stay home broke di*k.

  8. Iamgusswayze Says:

I’m so very grateful to have been able to financially afford last weeks game. My daughter and I sat in the endzone 6 rows from the field for $330. I spent $40 to park and about $65 for food and 4 bottles of water. As I look at the ticket prices for the next 3 games holy hell. There’s a pair in the end zone row d currently listed for $250/260 for the pair for the panthers game that I think I might jump on, save the rest of my money for the playoff home game(s) 🤞🏻🤞🏻🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️ it’s expensive out there Bucs fans

  9. Lightningvinny Says:

Too hot ,, wait a few months when the weather changes,,, I guess the eagles will be wearing dark today,,, make them sweat ,, cramp and dehydrate

  10. Aqualung Says:

They don’t care about the “little people.”

  11. SenileSenior Says:

If only the TV money counts why don’t they sell the seats at a lower price? Something is wrong here!

  12. Mac Says:

Joe the price of tickets have gone up EVERYWHERE with every sport concert etc. It’s the way things are now. I hate it as much as anyone but the days of ever getting a ticket to any sporting event or concert for under 150 are long gone.

Sadly that means we are going to see a boat load of Eagles fans in the stands. I live in PA or else I would be there. Can’t believe those that live down that way aren’t going and supporting these Bucs in a MASSIVE game.

  13. Jeffrey Becker Says:

have fun at the ‘granfalloon’ disjointed game attendees (fans seems a stretch). will be tickets given away or used as some kind of interpersonal leverage haha. real road fans maybe, since vacation often equals ‘screw the cost,’ but a mixed bag on the home side. disjointed to say the least.

  14. HC Grover Says:

I will make a burger and watch the Panters, Stanks, and Chicks on Sunday Ticket. Bucs are blocked out.

  15. BucsFanSince1996 Says:

Back in the 1990s, I attended my first Bucs game. It was at the old stadium, prior to Raymond James being built, against the Chicago Bears. At the time, the Bears and the Bucs were in the same division (NFC Central).

As it was my first game, I was so excited to go. But it felt like well over 100 degrees at the time and I wasn’t sufficiently hydrated. I felt so horrible that I ended up leaving halfway through the game! 😉

  16. Neal Cooter Says:

The Cooter family believes that Tampa is not a football town, Eagles fans will take over Raymond James today most likely 30,000 eagles fans, and still 10,000 tickets, sad sad sad. Every other market sells out, Tampa, Miami not NFL Towns, hopefully the Glaziers will see this and move the team to a town that will sell

  17. Anyhony Says:

@Cooter: This must be your 10Th user name……….new name, same ole loser.

  18. DungyDance Says:

“The Cooter family believes that Tampa is not a football town”

Spoken like a true transient. You know Cooter, I-95 runs both ways.

  19. Neal Cooter Says:

Not sure who you are but OK,Lets pretend the Bucs sell out and have homefield advantage when half the stadium is other teams fans

    ————————————————————————————

That’s not true. Every other market does NOT sell out.

Here in Tampa, there are many thousands of families who would attend games but cannot afford $1000 to take their family to a game.

  21. BootyLover Says:

The big beautiful golden age economy is here folks. Everything is more affordable and prices have gone down on everything of the likes never seen before. Go to the games with all those beautiful tax cut savings.

  22. Neal Cooter Says:

So, leave the kids at home and go with a male friend , no excuses, simply embarrassing for the NFL Game of the Week 2 undefeated teams, 30,000 Eagles fans and the upper decks half empty, wont happen in 95 PERCENT markets, only in Florida, Jax, Tampa Miami, Tampa is not a sports town

  23. Stpetematt Says:

The Bucs need a dome. And tickets should be about 1/6 what they cost right now.

    Insane.

  24. Bucman Says:

Way back in 76 I paid $8.00 for endzone seats. For my wife & two sons it cost us $32.00!!! Granted my income was less but adjusting for inflation the cost today is crazy.

  25. Beeej Says:

In the 80’s you could trade a pack of cigs for an end zone seat

  26. Larrd Says:

I remember buying very good tickets for Browns/Bucs game when Baker was a rookie. My brother flew down from Cleveland and we were excited to compare Baker and Jameis, two young QBs with big arms. Tickets were 250 just 15 rows up behind visiting bench. When I hopped out of bed that morning a bone in my ankle snapped, but I went to the game anyway. It was about 95 degrees and I have never sweat so much in my life, hobbling up and down the stadium stairs with a broken ankle.

In college we would show up at 12:50 and buy $10 tickets from scalpers to sit on the hot metal benches. After halftime and Binny’s third INT we moved down to the front row.

  27. Larrd Says:

    Vinny’s of course.

  28. PewterStiffArm Says:

Good old relentless Tampa Bay Buccaneer fans, priceless! I bet you Eagle fan drowns out Buc fans, we never learn.

  29. Hodad Says:

They should have family plans, and upper deck should be 100 dollars. Family of four 75 a piece.

  30. Pmike Says:

Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite work like that. Ticket prices won’t be reduced because they aren’t selling out. There’s a market, and the market determines the price. Market is not dependent on if your stadium is selling out. It is dependent on data that shows the max price a fan is willing to pay. Meaning, you need years of data to lower those prices, across all NFL markets. Game is only becoming more popular so don’t expect lower prices anytime soon

We deal with this type of scenario in the hotel business a lot.

  31. Pmike Says:

I also see the fact that there’s usually more away team fans than home team fans as a huge advantage for the Bucs. They are use to crowd noise. Their communication is better when playing away for this reason. Only makes them tougher

    Go Bucs !!

  32. Gman Says:

@JTHV. Remember what? Getting heat stroke sitting in awful seats and waiting 20 minutes to get a hot dog and pee? Going to an NFL game is a miserable experience compared to staying at home in front of a 70 inch TV. Between the people standing all game, drunks, $50 parking, lines, and 35,000 Eagles fans….yeah…have fun.

  33. Neal Cooter Says:

we all know Joe Bucs fans people on here mostly are unemployed and live in there moms garage so of course you can’t afford to go to a game, well I’m off to the stadium, peace out

  34. LawrenceDawsey Says:

I can buy a 12pk of quality beer and watch at home for the price of one be at the stadium

  35. BucsfaninOregon Says:

    I went to 1st Super Bowl. $12!

  36. Jmarkbuc Says:

Cooter, don’t have a heat stroke.

    Lawrence Dawsey… much respect for referencing…Lawrence Dawsey👍🏻
We used to call that guy glue.

  37. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Follow Chris Long on the bird app, Philly fans have a what looks like tent city set up outside of RayJay.

  38. MelvinJunior Says:

$180 for upper-level is obviously, absurd. You definitely have a problem, when you can’t even ‘sell-out’ a game featuring TWO undefeated teams, with one of them being the reigning Super Bowl CHAMPS. Especially, when you have prob well over 100K people living here ‘full-time, and part-time’ from the Philly area, who are already very familiar with Tampa Bay to begin with… Due to the Phillies Spring Training Home being located in Clearwater for about the past 80-YEARS. Plus, I don’t know WHO in their ‘right mind’ would even, WANT TO sit out there, directly in the sun all day, in 115-Degree temperatures!? They are just being stubborn by refusing to lower them. They are SCARED to! Because, it’s all a mind-game. They don’t want to precondition fans to get used to the old pre Brady-prices again!

  39. It's Corn Says:

Monopolies maximize revenue… which leads to higher prices and smaller quantity consumed. Great for the company, bad for the consumer.

Why we as a community have to play feudal serfs to idiot sons who inherit a fortune is beyond me.

  40. Jeff and Jack's grandpa Says:

Well back in my day blah blah blah

  41. MelvinJunior Says:

@BootyLover – the cost of the “American Dream” went from being $2.5-MIL to $5.0-MIL (lifetime earnings, homes, cars, kids education, Etc.) during the PREVIOUS 4-YEARS (under Democrats). Hell, the cost of living for an ‘average’ middle-class family to LIVE “comfortably” in St. Pete went from being UNDER $70K per year, to NOW almost $100K a year… Again, under the LAST administration (Democrats). Americans LOST about $20-GRAND annually, just in ‘buying power’ alone, when you factor in LOST earnings/wages (yeah, it DROPPED DRASTICALLY (historically), by around $6,000yr best of my memory), AND ‘inflation’ (yeah, about ANOTHER $10-GRAND (again, HISTORICALLY), and that’s not even counting energy, insurance, healthcare, and housing costs, either). And, yeah, I can go on… But, I won’t. Because, I’m not wasting my time, with someone who is obviously, just STUPID. Or, a liar.

  42. MelvinJunior Says:

The overwhelming majority of colleges (almost all of them) have been LOWERING seating capacities for years now, due to the “home experience.” They’ve been adding more high-end luxury seating and amenities, with updated sound and video systems, wifi throughout, and etc. It’s just the new way.

  43. HopetheBucswin!! Says:

1pm hot game, no thank you. Plus the over abundance of Phili fans are the worst! Go Bowles!

  44. Neal Cooter Says:

Cause Bucs have no fans not even in there own stadium, be like a Birds homegame

  45. Perimeter Blocker Says:

Solutions : Lower ticket prices, stipulate if a season ticket holder comes personally to all games they get a 25% discount on the following season tickets. Stop with the woke agenda. No gay cheerleaders and supporting ‘pride month’ and all of the divisive rhetoric. Newsflash this is a red state we don’t like that. Lastly, I have been a fan since the inception of the team and was a 20 year season ticket holder. My son’s first clothing was a Alstott onesie. We both bleed pewter and red. That we can’t afford tickets is a travesty. I guarantee if the Glazers did the above there would be a sea of red in the stadium. I understand profit must be made, but I guarantee the Glazers would still make money with the above enacted.

  46. orlbucfan Says:

Don’t make me let out a sarcastic snort. Who besides the Richie rich can afford tix? You notice all the noise about spreading American football all over the world? Ownership makes its dough via video media. That’s what they look at: $$$$$$$$. Glad I could go to the games at both stadiums, and have a ball even when the Bucs stunk up the state. I’ll stick to Bucs Radio. Go Cardiac Bucs!!!!

  47. orlbucfan Says:

TW78 and CG14 are playing today!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!

  48. BucEmUp Says:

Prices for all forms of entertainment have gotten out of hand. Most middle class people cant afford it. Im not spending that kind of money to watch a game. We used to go to concerts all the time now we might go to one a year. Just not worth it

  49. Jmarkbuc Says:

Melvin you’re out of your damn mind

  50. St.Pete Salty Buc Says:

Yeah, let’s spend all that $ to burn up, pay parking, expensive food and drinks. When you can sit in the AC, no crowds , watch the big screen, munch and drink cheap. GO BUCS!1

  51. Jerry Says:

Have you seen the prices? I’m not sure how people afford to keep going to the games.
Especially in Florida, where everything just keeps going up and up and up.

  52. Gman Says:

@Jerry…I can afford it…I just don’t see a compelling reason to go anymore. I went every week for 40 years and am in my mid 50’s. There is nothing fun about the experience at this point in my life. Glad others have the patience to put up with all of the inconveniences and are willing to pay hundreds of dollars to do so. My fresh pizza just got here so I gotta go.

  53. DrunkInYbor Says:

You know I’m back in the early 90s ne and my buddies lived the vacTion8ng snowbirds. They always had money and we would whoop that back side when they started talk8ng that mess. Im from d.c. yo I. Crom Brooklyn B. We’ll im from bloomingdale and it ain’t where you from its where you at. My point is where is our home team pride. What in the wild world of sports. Its luke there’s 70 of us fans. Ive been a die hard since I was 13 I jave the skull and swords with the football on ny forearm I jave the pirate ship breaking through waves on my other forearm. We suck at pride and give up way too easily. HOW Fing disappointing

  54. Not Says:

Those foookers have me locked in through 2026. My bad missed the narrow opt out window.
However, I sell the tickets to big games like today, and I’m sure Eagles fans are the ones paying the high price I list the tix for. But Glazeerrs charge a lot so gots to make me some $$$$$ too and fill that stadium with away fans !
    LOL !

  55. BootyLover Says:

    @ MelvinJunior

Thanks for the whataboutism lesson. So tell what’s changed for the better in the last year? Empty promises and a bs tax cut for the ultra rich hasn’t changed a thing. That’s the truth.
