Haason Reddick, Chris Braswell Winners In 1-On-1 Pass Rush; Friday’s Session Roundup.

August 1st, 2025

Winner!

Often when pads are on in training camp, offensive linemen, defensive linemen and pass rushers work on a side field for a bit and face each other 1-on-1 in pass rush/pass blocking exercises.

The view often is obstructed for media because players sort of circle around the action. Today, however, Joe hovered successfully and Joe highlights/lowlights are below.

*No significant Ws in early rounds of 1-on-1 pass rush, and some scenarios were not true 1-on-1. SirVocea Dennis blitzing as the O-line double teams a guard is one example.

*Vita Vea seen coaching up Logan Hall.

*Camp meat veteran tackle Luke Haggard probably holding Calijah Kancey.

*Haason Reddick beats Luke Goedeke as Reddick came off a left-edge set. Outside linebackers coach screaming like a preacher, “I like it 5. I like it 5.”

*Vita Vea handled by Graham Barton, possibly Vea had an illegal hands to the face on Barton.

*Elijah Klein stones Kancey.

*Chris Braswell beats left tackle Charlie Heck like he’s not there. Inside move.

*Defensive lineman Adam Gotsis bullrushes the hell out of Klein.

*YaYa Diaby seemed to be happy with his performance getting around camp meat tackle Lorenz Metz.

*Backup offensive tackle hopeful Tyler McLellan looking pretty solid overall. He also looks his listed size, 6-8, 355 pounds.

*Late get-off by DT Dvon J-Thomas against center Jake Majors.

*Edge rusher José Ramirez driven wide off the right edge by Metz.

*Cody Mauch holds off Kancey but Kancey collapses the pocket a bit.

*Clean win by DT Mike Greene against Graham Barton up the middle.

*Logan Hall pushes camp meat guard Ben Scott. Joe’s view was obstructed.

*Braswell another winning rep against Charlie Heck. Braswell looks quick. Bowles is right.

*Bonus nugget: in the first round of 11-on-11, there’s a little extra curricular activity between Barton and Braswell. It seems Braswell is getting under the O-linemen’s skin a bit. Usually a good sign.

Joe, I know you call them camp meat occasionally, but it has me curious… Do the starters go extra hard against the guys they aren’t afraid of hurting because they won’t make the team? Let’s say you are Reddick, are you going to go extremely aggressive against 2nd/3rd string cause you don’t care about blowing up the play and beating down the OL or is it all the same?

I watched heck in 11 on 11. No whiffs by him but he didn’t stone anyone either. Did ok vs YaYa and Kancey.

Love hearing the Braswell progression, sounds like he’s hungry this season. With a bit of a chip on the shoulder to prove he’s worth his pic, hope he is, more so I hope he shows it in regular season
