Jubilant is such a good word to describe the Bucs and we fans! Loving the new confidence poll.
Penix is now getting a lot of hype. We just never know how a rookie will do.
Baker – “Playing for each other.” It’s real. Mike deserves the gold jacket. Suit him up. Go Bucs!

Thanks so much for another enjoyable getaway listening (with my old hound Junebug) to my favorite bunch of journalists. Time well spent. And Joe I’d have rather heard more about the trip to the Nixon library than about how 10 million might flip Liam to stay with us.

Michael Penix Jr. , yeah he should come with hype he was a high draft pick and a top tier talent out of college.
Kirk Cousins is starting to struggle somewhat and he is a great QB and talent also, but with Penix in and Kirk leading the way for him ATL could very well make a push.
Unfortunately timing is probably poor and he probably will fail this season lot of tough games left for them and not so many for TB Bucs.
That’s how the cookie crumbles.

@Joe did you see the crazy stat that the Bucs are a better run defense when Vita Vea is off the field? 5.1 yards with him on and only 3.4 when he is off? Not shocked. Eye test shows the Bucs don’t fall off in run defense without Vea. Heck, Bucs fans watched “Nacho” start double-digit games for Vea in 2020, and that was the best run defense in the league. –Joe

@Joe Good point about the 2020 defense. I just thought Shaq, JPP and Suh were all elite players at that time and covered up Nacho. It’s a huge difference though. The person who stated the statistic suggested it was because they run directly to the edges and away from him when he’s in the game. What does that say about the rest of the front seven?
The source if you’re interested in listening was the Dallas radio show 105.3 The Fan and you can find the clip from yesterday called Broaddus Scouts The Buccaneers’ Offense & Defense | GBag Nation posted on you tube. They do a pretty fair and thorough breakdown of the team and are concerned the Bucs will put up 40 or more on the Cowboys.

Canales jumped ship for $6M and Carolina probably has state taxes.

All anybody has to do is google Todd Bowles salary and it comes right up!! Wouldn’t trust Google on that. When Bowles was Jets head coach, NFL Network reported the deal was over $4 million per year. –Joe
It’s gonna be interesting to see how the Glazer Family handles the Liam Coen situation ESPECIALLY if the Bucs finish the regular season strong and win a couple playoff games!! Todd Bowles salary for a Head Coach in the NFL is embarrassing, in my opinion, and pretty much ALL the coaches in big time college programs make more money than Bowles settled for in Tampa. No OC should make more than their Head Coach, so in my mind, to keep Liam the Glazers gonna have to give BOTH Liam & Bowles a raise just for what they would offer Liam to be in line with what other teams would offer Liam cause Bowles is only making $3 million per season. (For perspective Canales is getting $6 mil, Tomlin is getting $10 mil and Andy Reid makes $20 mil) NO NFL COACH MAKES AS LITTLE AS BOWLES

Ben Johnson in Detroit as the Offensive Coordinator probably makes more than Todd Bowles in Tampa as the Head Coach!!!
