Vita Vea = Beast

November 24th, 2024

Dominant.

Man, did the bye week do some good for Vita Vea.

Vea looked beyond fresh in the first Bucs’ game after the bye today against the Giants, and the Bucs used him like a fresh player.

Need a touchdown? Vea came in at fullback on Sean Tucker’s TD run. Giants linebackers wanted none of that smoke from Vea.

Pass rush? Vea was an animal in the Bucs’ dominating first half. The way Vea freight-trained Giants center John Michael Schmitz, Jr. to bury Tommy Cutlets looked to Joe like Vea’s high school YouTube highlights.

When Vea runs wild, the Bucs defense is a different animal.

And that’s just the way Vea played today. Like an animal possessed. Offense and defense.

    We played the Giants.

  2. Tucker Says:

The way vea threw that center like it was last night’s trash for a sack was a thing of beautiful.

  3. Tucker Says:

Yup not gonna get too crazy about it, it was the Giants but good to get off that string of losing.

    LFG!!!

Stop it Guys. We won against the hapless Giants. Probably a college team could whip them.

    Absolutely awesome!

This sparks a lot of joy.

He needs to be in there for the playoffs, goal one package. He can single handedly collapse a defense and create a refrigerator size hole. It’s glorious.

About to comment on the lancet article, stoked we have him too. I bet he does well bc Vita next to him demanding attention.

Now if he could do that every week, and against good teams, we’d really be cooking.

Great defense today against the New York Football Giants!! Very creative offense Baker and company were incredible!!! Great set up for the Panthers at home on December 1.

Go Bucs !! Beat the Panthers !!

Joe, please update the blog pic. Next week is the Panthers. Coen against Canales. Hopefully, our offensive coach will call the winning game.

  14. Saskbucs Says:

How about Devito getting the Vita mitt on his collar as he tried to scramble up field early! Haha that was also great, quick reach, grab and sit down kid.

Liked him in there for the goal line package. Didn’t love them running same play twice. 2nd one should have been to Vita or play action. Now that’s on tape, same thing twice, Coen better have a nice variation off it to go to next time.

  15. Jerseybuc Says:

panthers will be a lot tougher/ they are feeling it right now. We did what we had to do. Next…..

  16. Ugo Says:

    Saksbucs, right?!

He picked Devito up one-handed like he was picking up his toddler running in a supermarket aisle. Like, oh no you don’t

I’ve been calling for this since we drafted him.

    HEY DOOSH…..

Yes, it was the Giants. What is your point, to show football ignorance? They beat the snot out of them. Which is what a good team should do to a bad team. But they are still NFL teams, Kansas City barely squeaked by Carolina. Any given Sunday.
If the barely won, you’d be complaining.
If they lost, you’d be complaining.
So they did what they were supposed to and won big and you’re still complaining.
    So…. Just go away

  19. Dave Pear Says:

By next Sunday, Coich will have him re-neutered, dropping into deep middle zone and playing passively.

  20. David Jones Says:

Yes we played the giants, but they still have a good defense. One of the most sacks of all the teams. Wow, Bake was a beast in that game. The Bucks r fun to watch.!! Wish the Bucks defense would show up for every game.

Who else thinks Vea blocking is a slow play set up for Coen to have him actually take a hand-off later in the season?
Doubt the handoff but expect the pass. –Joe
