Todd Bowles Had Knee Surgery

May 21st, 2024

Bucs coach Todd Bowles leans on his cane today at One Buc Palace.

Good thing the Bucs kept Bucco Bruce Arians’ famous golf cart.

Bucs coach Todd Bowles underwent knee replacement surgery last week yet that can’t keep him away from Bucs OTAs and off the practice fields behind One Buc Palace.

Though clearly hobbled, Bowles got around in Arians’ old golf cart. After practice, a Bucs staffer chauffeured him to do his regular post-practice press conference, strangely held outside in the heat on concrete having Bowles stand up.

Bowles gingerly got out of the cart and using the aid of a cane, took a few short, slow steps to the mic.

Bowles sure is a trooper. While most folks would be homebound, Bowles was out in the heat running practice, albeit often while sitting in a golf cart.

Why does Todd Bowles have a white hand and white legs?

Bowles definitely is taking charge of this team. Hopefully the growth he had last year as the HC continues this year.

He’s probably wearing long socks or “leggings” to protect from the sun. Both because he is an intelligent old person who wants to continue getting older, and because the sun is especially harsh on scar tissue. Of course I’m guessing but maybe Jose can ask the question.

He was wearing some sort of wrap around his right leg. Not sure why but gonna guess it has something to do with his knee surgery last week.

  6. Tim Says:

His hand looking light is the lighting. His legs I’m sure are just compression stockings for the post OP swelling. I also just got my knee replaced, the swelling is an issue.

  7. Dave Pear Says:

Todd is a good person who tries really hard. Props for that.

  8. Dude Says:

wow, apparently some of the folks have never seen post-op compression sleeves until today? he’s got a cane too, rest up coach.

Wonder why he didn’t have it earlier in the offseason?
Whatever… it’s a fast recovery in 2024 , he’ll be good to go for training camp
