The team has just been to inconsistent. Several games this season was the other team beating themselves not the other way round. The Panthers game, if it wasn’t for stupid penalties for the Panthers they would’ve beat the Bucs 17 to 9. I understand Mayfield was hurt Also the last Atlanta game was the same and the defense has regressed a bit. I wouldn’t be surprised either way if Bowles go or stay

  3. D-Rome Says:

I’m totally confident….he’ll be back next season.

  4. LVMYBUCS Says:

Dude sucks as a head coach he has gotten lucky because the division sucks for the last three years.

  5. Popcorn Mike Says:

I am with others, I think this Eagles game measurement to weather Bowles stay or go. Even if they lose but the team look good and play a good game, I think it’s 50 50 Bowles is back next year A lose he’s out. However, I think , not sure Bowles has 1 year left on his contract. If the team is inconsistent next year, there’s no doubt he’s out

  6. Davenport Says:

Same as every poll this year — no confidence.

He lives off his horrible division. If there was a quality team in the NFC South, Bowles would have been gone this past Monday.

Not a Super Bowl quality coach, most aren’t. That being the case, why have him around?

If you’re not first, you’re last.

My take on Bowles is not based on the fluky 9-8 record. It’s based on his coaching decisions, which are not good overall. His player evaluations are sketchy; too many poor performers get way too much field time. He refuses to use timeouts competitively. He sits on 3 point leads. He doesn’t attack opposing team weaknesses. He has a terrible record against rookie/backup QBs. He’s so stubborn he would rather start an injured and ineffective QB over a highly drafted QB. I don’t really care if the players like him. His product is boring and ugly. The current path to success is not sustainable IMO.

  8. Mark Says:

I find it odd that people think the Eagles game is a measuring stick.

Philadelphia clearly has a superior roster, and they should be Tampa Bay hands down. The only reason the national press thinks the Bucs are going to win is because the Eagles’ coaching staff and cultural are in a state of dysfunction.

But who has confidence that the Bucs coaching staff can exploit that dysfunction? The odds are that we will see three quarters of “run up the middle 2x, high risk deep drop back pass on third down”, and then a desperate scramble in garbage time to make up a big deficit. Does anyone think this coaching staff will implement a game plan tailored to actually beat the Eagles?

  9. Mark Says:

If the Bucs win this game, it only proves the Eagles coaching was even more arrogant, stupid, and stubborn than Bowles and company.

  10. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    LFG!!!

  11. Bosch Says:

The Glazers would do well to realize this poll is a harbinger of declining ticket sales, merchandise sale, etc if Bowles is retained. Of course they play things so close to the vest that we have no clue what they are thinking.

  12. BA’s Red Pen Says:

    • Little Confidence

  13. Mike Johnson Says:

I am totally confident, we will play hard against the Eagles come Monday. But its going to have to be our best effort of the season. IF..we are too win. I don’t like our chances. But anything can happen IF..we do not fall behind early. I am aslo confident Bowles returns regardless of the outcome.

    @Joe
Why have a poll open only an 1 hour and 47 mins?

Is it because democrats are going to vote more then once or you got the
    Outcome you expected?
Great question! Joe keeps a tight window on the polls to help prevent/limit passionate fans from voting multiple times –phone/office/laptop — and to prevent/limit massive voting among employees at One Buc Palace. Over the years, Joe’s found more accuracy from the ‘flash’ poll via this method. Also, Joe likes when fans come and say, “Damn, I missed the vote.” Perhaps it’ll make some folks visit here more often. –Joe

  15. Jack Sparrow Says:

Breaking News….. Jalen Hurts will use his left hand against the bucs to preserve his right throwing hand for real playofff games.

  16. First Name Greatest Says:

    71% Little or No Confidence

Pretty telling, no magical 4 game win streak could wipe away the stench of Todd Blows from this team

  17. JD Still Says:

Confidence or satisfaction Polls are a good indicator of consumer satisfaction. In business or sports , the best indicator of future success or failure is past success or failure and the longer the history of those successes or failures , the more accurate it is as an indicator. Now of course there are exceptions,( that’s the job of managers to evaluate the risk, but if you are going to invest or entrust hundreds of millions of dollars in human and/or material assets in long term contracts to individuals , the more important the evaluations of those indicators become,( especially if you are the one that’s going to ultimately get evaluated for those decisions by your boss).
