“I’m Taking The Bucs”

January 9th, 2024

It’s mind-blowing how the Eagles fell from 10-1 to 11-6. They will limp into the playoffs against the Bucs on Monday night.

It almost reminds Joe of Lovie Smith’s Bears in 2012 going 7-1 and finishing 10-6.

(Smith got fired and his next job was leading Tampa Bay.)

Analysts everywhere are hammering the Eagles for their collapse. They lost to the sorry Cardinals and Giants to close the regular season. Heck, the Bucs are better than those teams.

Speaking on ESPN TV yesterday, former Colts Pro Bowl center Jeff Saturday hammered away at Philadephia coaching and playing. He said Eagles on Sunday should have been expecting blitz after blitz against the Giants, whose defensive coordinator is known for blitzing like Bucs defensive playcaller Todd Bowles.

Instead, per Saturday, the Eagles looked lost.

“The Eagles didn’t have an answer or even look to be in the same building. It was like they were studying for French and took a history test,” Saturday said. “Like, it was over-the-top for me.”

Philadelphia has no idenity on offense, Saturday continued, echoing what Joe has heard repeatedly about the Eagles: their offense is vanilla and not adjusting.

They’re night-and-day different from what they were last year and earlier this season, Saturday said. “They do less under center. They have less play-action. They have less yards after catch. They have less motion. The have less designed runs with Jalen Hurts.”

Co-panelist Shannon Sharpe, the legendary tight end, smacked around the Eagles’ ugly pass defense and said they will be no match for Baker Mayfield, Chris Godwin and Baker Mayfield.

Sharpe said he doesn’t need more time studying Monday’s Bucs-Eagles matchup. “I’m taking the Bucs,” he said.

    ………….

They have to play Baker twice? 🙂

  4. Ricki Says:

These guys are the same ones that said that we will win 3 games. We knew they were wrong then and we know they are wrong now. We cant best Philly. I would love to be surprise but the reality is different.

  5. Casual Observer Says:

If Baker can play (and is not too disabled), I’ll take the Bucs too.

  6. Dave Pear Says:

If Baker is healthy enough to throw, and then Bowles has to Un-cuff Canales to throw.

    Todd. Bowles.

This will be a repeat of last years Cowboys playoff game where Bowles made the limping Cowgirls look like thoroughbred stallions. Until they got killed the following week again.

Bowles is incapable of winning this game even though his team has the potential to win as handily as against Green Bay and Jacksonville.

Bowles must have hated those games.

Meanwhile no doubt he is having fun in his closet looking at the Panthers game box score and the 9-0 Offensive performance.

It’s an offense driven league. Offense sells tickets. Glazers obviously like offense.

If Todd miraculously unpacks the team and instructs Canales to emulate GB and Jax games, it will be a shock. Otherwise, he’ll be fired.

    Todd Monken.

  7. David Says:

Unless our defense pitch a shutout as they did last week, I am taking Eagles. I have no confidence in this offense with trash Baker. He has not showed up in the past two games against two trash teams with their trash ab’s. Specially if Jalen hurts plays. Baker barely defeats trash qb’s let alone a winning team with a good qb.

  8. Ugotrobbed Says:

Did he watch the Bucs last two games!? lol

  9. D Cone Says:

As Mayfield is mentioned twice am I to assume that it all depends on the Baker Mayfield you’ll get on game day?

  10. HC Grover Says:

    Good Luck! LOL

  11. NE Fan Says:

Sounds like the Bucs are playing the Bucs!

  12. Oz Len Says:

    Thanks Trash David! Brilliant…

  13. BakerFan Says:

I don’t know who will win, but if Bucs win I can already hear the Bucs so-called fans saying well they should of, Eagles were sliding down the toilet the last part of season. Or, Trask would of won by 7 touchdowns.

Will will not give the Bucs, especially Mayfield any credit.

  14. Crickett Baker Says:

It’s one of those games that is literally “up in the air”. I just hope for an entertaining game! GO BUCS!

  15. David Says:

The trash Baker faked a rib injury last week. Why ? I tell you. With a loss he would have blamed it on his injury. With a win he would. show his moxie and a being a devoted team player.

He mainly played to qualify in collecting his incentive of $1M check for wining the division.

Now the trash Baker fans blaming his rib injury on his poor performance vs. Panthers. Was he also injured against Saints two weeks ago ? If he was really injured why did he jeopardize Bucs chances to play with such injury by laying turds on the field ?

Ok. Here is the fact, Bucs will always win when the other team scores zeros. Would it happen two games in a row. Hell no.

  16. Since76 Says:

Fan of baker……tell me what you give baker credit for the past two weeks???? Game was over by the 3rd qtr against saints and last week the defense dragged Mayfield kicking to victory. You guys gotta get your minds off his old commercials.

  17. Lombardi Lenny Says:

Just don’t let Sharp go back and watch out last two games lol

  18. BakerFan Says:

The game is won by a team effort, not one player. You Turds all claim you are Bucs fan but I have never ever seen Fans tear apart a team as you jackazzes do.

  19. Rod Munch Says:

Co-panelist Shannon Sharpe, the legendary tight end, smacked around the Eagles’ ugly pass defense and said they will be no match for Baker Mayfield, Chris Godwin and Baker Mayfield.

    ————

I’ll add this, from listening to some Eagles podcasts to hear them cry, on one of them with former players who see the Eagles every week and watch film, they said opposing teams WR’s are wide open on every 5 and 8 yard out they run.

Considering how inaccurate Mayfield has been all season on anything over 10 yards downfield, that would actually play to his strength.

Assuming those guys know what they were talking about, I hope the Bucs offense doesn’t outsmart themselves, and just takes what the Eagles D is giving them.

  20. David Says:

Trash Baker top five fans always use Baker’s QBR among the better qb’s in NFL. Baker’s higher QBR’s were mainly generated and inflated in the second half of the games when the games were already decided. He has the worst QBR’s in the first half of the games.
    He had QBR’s of;
    24, 42 against Panthers, Win
19, 91 against Saints, Loss, Win
    18 against Lions, Loss
    22 against Eagles, Loss
    28 against Colts, Loss
    49 against 49er’s, Loss
45, 49 against Atlanta, Loss, Win
    45 against Buffalo, Loss

As you can clearly see how his poor QBR’s in those games directly resulted in Bucs losses. He won a few other games with low QBR’s with Toilet Bowl saving defense.

  21. BucsBeast Says:

Eagles are going to embarrass the Bucs Defense.
Don’t care how you look at it. BOWLES will be blitz happy against a
Solid O line, that won’t get home. Which hurt Hurts will exploit. Only thing that
Gives the bucs hope is, Tampa finally scores its 1st drive TD. But that will be
    Their only TD.

    ———-

The Eagles are literally the most blitzed team in football, and they’re not that good vs the blitz.

The only thing I worry about is that Bowles goes into a shell in a big moment, and just sits back in his awful soft zone garbage.

  23. heyjude Says:

Unsure what happened to the Eagles. But this time around we need to practice that tush push correctly so none of our players get hurt, and make a TD. We can do it better this time around.

  24. Pewter power Says:

It’s recency biases So I’m confused…. lol the eagles are limping into the playoffs yea but all the top teams we couldn’t beat they did. Don’t talk about losing to the Giants who are in their division because they just beat them a couple weeks ago

Buffalo, chiefs, cowboys, dolphins…. Are the Bucs beating any of those teams? Recency biases. I don’t listen to anyone picking lebron over Jordan. Are people actually picking the Bucs over eagles in a win or go home scenario?

This is just hilarious. This poor Baker fan call himself a Bucs fan and every no-Baker fans as Turds while he is posting his comments as “BakerFan”.

  26. Dave Pear Says:

If the game lasts until the end, look for Bowles famous cover zero receivers defense in which no one blitzes either, they all just hang around the line and hang Antoine out to dry. Remember the Rams playoff game. Sorry. That’s when Todd should have been fired.

Instead he was promoted and dismantled one of the best passing offenses in history.

Todd. Realtor extraordinaire. Not a head coach.

  27. David Says:

Baker fans, which one is it ?
You claim that football is a team sport but credit
Bucs past two losses on the team and all the wins or ugly Bucs wins on your trash qb.

I say it again. Please just shut up after his terrible two games. As they say in AMC Theaters before the movies; Don’t test, don’t post, don’t talk. Don’t ruin this website and your qb for now. Trash talk if he performs well and Bucs win next week.

Last time they played, both sides of the line were dominated by the Eagles. If our big guys don’t come to play their best games, this matchup very well could be a repeat of that game. We’ll see how that goes on Monday! I’m hopeful but not betting any money on it.

  34. BakerFan Says:

Baker fans, which one is it ?

Hey Nimrod…. you go back and show me where I said Baker won the game, starting at the first of the year….. I never stated that. You talk out your azz all the time on here and are nothing but a Fountain of Misinformation.

  35. Shane Callahan Says:

I cannot comprehend the thought process of someone spending their time to go on a fansite to hate. Folks like David, NE Fan, etc really need to get a life. It seems like they have no idea how pathetic they look to the rest of us. Anyways, I hope Mayfield gets healthy and has another perfect game like he did at Lambeau and gets another win with a mediocre (yet improved) O-line, no running game, a very inconsistent defense, and first-year playcaller. Go Bucs and go Baker!!!

  36. JByrd Says:

I hope both Baker’s are healthy

  37. Usedtocould Says:

  40. Marine Buc Says:

This game is a coin flip… The Eagles have been struggling but the Bucs last two games were pretty lackluster as well.

It will come down to turnovers and who can run the ball with more efficiency.

  41. NYbucsfan Says:

If you take a look at Philly’s last six losses four of them are playoff teams that are probably considered contenders. And then you look at our last six games I think we played one playoff team that definitely is not a contender. What is our record against playoff teams this year?

  42. Jack Clark Says:

Dude you are another trash Baker fan calling the rest of us as non-Bucs fans.
You just trashed the entire Bucs team except your trash qb, Baker.
Very inconsistent defense ? The same defense who pitched the shut out to save the division and win $1M for your trash boy who scored 3 FG’s nine points which is less points than a slightly higher than a baseball score.

The same defense who won severqal games this season with your trah boy threw
for 48% comp. and less than 150 yards per game.

This game is a coin flip…

    ——–

The game will be won or lost on the shoulders of Mayfield. If he’s the trash garbage QB from the last 2 games, the Bucs get blown out and lose by 30. If he’s the very good QB from the 2 games before that, then the Bucs have a good chance of winning.

If Baker is supposed to be a franchise QB and someone who wants big money, that the idiot Baker Bois claim is comparable to Brady, Brees and Mahomes, at the very least he needs to come out and perform in a pressure situation. In the last 2 weeks, in a pressure situation, with the playoffs on the line, he played his two worst games of the season.

Going by QBR, a 60+ would be considered a good week, and Baker had 6 good starts on the season. Out of those 6 good starts, only 1 came against a good defense, the first time vs the Saints. Luckily, the Eagles have the 31st ranked pass defense in the NFL, so hopefully we see on of those uncommon good games from Baker.

Yes, that is true if your name is Trash Baker.
I guess Texans are ale a trash team who ruined CJ Stroud.

“Co-panelist Shannon Sharpe, the legendary tight end, smacked around the Eagles’ ugly pass defense and said they will be no match for Baker Mayfield, Chris Godwin and Baker Mayfield.” (Evans?)

I think that would be the case…if Mayfield were not injured. While our defense should do well (maybe…), our offense still has to score points. Just FGs isn’t going to do it in the playoffs.

  49. D-Rome Says:

Co-panelist Shannon Sharpe, the legendary tight end, smacked around the Eagles’ ugly pass defense and said they will be no match for Baker Mayfield, Chris Godwin and Baker Mayfield.

Dave Canales’ new play: Have Baker Mayfield pass to himself. The Eagles will never expect it!

  52. David Says:

Baker fans are exposed and are in recovering mode. They finish their post as being Bucs fans also. Their new logo is ” Go Bucs Go Baker”.
No Man. We can’t still see those pigs lips under your lip sticks. You are trash. Why ? I tell you. Cause you always try to hang around the trash.

Even your own trash boy told NFL Access that he hasn’t play well lately and thanked his teammates picking him up while your posting and ranting with your trash and making excuses for him.
Did your boy share any of his extra $1M he just received for playing last week with you ?
    If not, until he wins a meaningful NFL game;
As AMC Therater says:Don’t text, don’t talk, don’t post, don’t ruin this website.

  53. Since76 Says:

Shane….. We are team fans not players. We look at the entire team body of work. Some players have a down game every now and then. When a player doesn’t play well in consecutive weeks fans get a little choppy with said player. If said player doesn’t play well multiple consecutive games multiple times a year fans get chippier on said player. When the player is a QB add in multipliers of chippyness. Mayfield has had many consecutive games where he didn’t play well.

  54. SlyPirate Says:

Philly can outscore a team that can’t score points.

    Bucs get embarrassed on MNF.

    31-13

  55. David Says:

Baker fans you are making us to vomit. Please 😩 and disappear for now until your trash boy finish cleaning up the turd he left on the field the past two games. You can resume as son as he wins the next game for the Bucs not just wearing the Bucs uniform and collecting $1M.
As AMC Therater says for now:Don’t text, don’t talk, don’t post, don’t ruin this website.

  56. Kidfloflo Says:

This is the type of game we’re Canales needs to feed Evans and Godwin all 4 quarters…stop trying to run into a wall every damn drive…let our stars shine and give them the rock instead of wasting throws to Palmer ,Ko keiff etc

  57. Why Not Says:

I definitely want the Bucs to win Monday, but I am concerned that they’ll play down to their opponent. The Eagles are on fumes, but they still have a lot of talent, and the Bucs are inconsistent. The last two games of the season left a bad taste in my month. The loss against the Saints and the unimpressive win against the Panthers makes it seem as if the Bucs are backing into the playoffs. At least we are playing a team that’s not firing on all cylinders. That gives us a chance.

  58. Marine Buc Says:

    @ Rod

Baker will need some help from his running game if the Bucs are going to even have a chance.

I’m not saying 200 yes rushing but at least @ 130 or so. Enough to keep the chains moving.

  59. Steven007 Says:

Trash David… Dude, you’re weird. And you obviously have a trash fetish of some kind. Are you wallowing in trash all the time and therefore have the need to type about the company you keep?

Here’s the bottom line. If you’re actually a Bucs fan, you want the quarterback to succeed. Calling him middle school quality names after we improved upon last season and won the division and will host a playoff game is masochistic. But whatever, stay trashy.

  60. Rusty Shackleford Says:

Jimmy Graham: F$!@ the Falcons. Based.

No, really. Saints tight end Jimmy Graham actually said eff the falcants.

  61. No Mercy Says:

  62. BucaneroJim Says:

maybe Sharpe means Baker will throw towards Godwin, it will be batted back to Baker and Baker will run the ball. Finally, those trick plays Canales has been keeping in his pocket.

First, we have made the playoff for the past four six years before your trash boy shows up in Tampa.
Second, Toilet Bowl brought his loved son to win at least a playoff as improvement over the last year. We have been wining this divsion could have won the division with Gabbert or Trask anyway in this trash AFC South.

Third, you are the same pig with the lip stick pretending/posting as Bucs fans. You are not a Buck fan if you are satisfy and praising Bucs exclusively wining this trash division with your trash boy.

I’m not sure what “four six” here’s means… As for eye-rollingly stating that we would have won the division with gabbert or Trask, well that flies in the face of what pretty much every pundit including Vegas thought. Hopefully you’re making money off those fancy prognostication skills of yours.

As for your last paragraph, sorry Chachi, I have no idea what you’re trying to say. Try to use your words like a big boy. I’ve been posting here for a longer than you, I just don’t usually try to get in the stye with the pigs. Keep it trashy.

Unbelievable and bucnjim, you’re 100% correct. As I said in my last post to him, I don’t usually do this and that will be my last response to his obvious joy and seeing his name on a blog.

  71. David Says:

We are just wondering why you trash Baker fans even post right now with your trash qb in trouble for the past two games. He is so lucky the season ended last week or he would have been exposed with his trash performances. What would be his excuses next week if loses to a dismantled Eagles Team.

I hope Baker heals up, the team plays great, and they get another win. Go Bucs! (To the haters, go to the fansite of the teams you actually root for.)

  73. Marky Mark Says:

The Buccaneer players should tune out all media talking heads and all social media including this blog. I am appalled how vicious people are on this board. It is easy to be mean if you can,t get punched in the face. Would you be like this in a sports bar? No because you might get your nose broke.

That said i think people are over estimating the injury factor. Little tiny 5’10” Bryce did worse than Baker. It was familiarity that hurt the O on both sides. Canales needs to do things differently. I would go no huddle the first half then run the ball once you haveca 3 TD lead.

    Do you support any qb or just your trash qb, Baker ? It seems as you didn’t get too excited or supportive as I mentioned Gabbert or Trask wining the same trash division. Why ? I tell you. This is your trash reply;

Eagles win easily. It’ll look like a get right game for them. Baker is beat up and can’t throw, Todd and Dave will continue to play it safe with dive plays when trailing by 20

  88. maccafan Says:

Everybody on this site should ignore poster “David”. He is a “troll” and says all kinds of stuff to get a reaction. He actually said Baker faked rib injury when everyone with two eyes could see he was hurt after the cheap shot in the Saints game. He calls Baker a “trash QB which is quite funny. The “trash” QB threw more TD passes for the Bucs this year then the GOAT (Tom Brady) did in 2022. BTW – Brady threw around 200 more passes than Baker. Somehow, the Buccaneers with basically the same roster (except QB -lol) won one more game than they did the previous year with Brady with a “trash” QB. Please tell me another “trash” QB who threw for 4,000 yards this year.

Once again, I will say whenever Baker does well, posters like “David” will find a way to denigrate the performance. When Baker had “perfect” game against GB, all you heard form posters like “David” was GB defense sucks. BTW – GB made the post season and will play Dallas next week. Funny, how Baker’s really good game (21-30 265 yards 2 TD’s 0 INT’s) against the division champ Texans does not get mentioned by certain posters. They seem to neglect that defense blew that game when they could not hold 5-point lead with 45 seconds left in the game.

I was at the game last Sunday and it was noticeable Baker was hurting (ribs) and later got leg injury. He was limping around the field the rest of the game. Outside of a couple of deep throws that he missed early in the game everything was thrown fairly short. The Panthers may be 2-15 but their defense is not that bad especially their secondary who game up with a few good deflections.

I will bet everything I have if Bucs win Monday and Baker has good game, all you will hear is how much the Eagles suck. Heaven forbid Bucs lose; we will hear all about Trask playing again -lol. I will admit I am concerned about Baker’s health for Monday. It would not be as worrisome if Bucs actually had fairly decent running attack. Anyway, crossing my fingers the Bucs do well and advance in post season.

  89. Bring back the lawn chairs Says:

Let’s get this strait. The famous Bucs coverage is
Tampa 2 lawnchair, zero cover. The eagles had all this figured out long ago. They’re playing exactly who they wanted to play. They’re being coy. And they did it with literally going on vacation for the last 6 weeks. They ain’t as lame as they look. Its a trap.
If you need refresher, look at last year playoff at home against the mighty cowboys to see heavy doses of Tampa 2 lawnchair zero cover.

Shane….. We are team fans not players.

    ——–

You might be that, but the Baker Bois are literally just crazy stalkers who follow Baker from city to city, going through his trash, trying to sneak into the locker room showers, etc. They’re literally insane, they think the guy on TV doing commercials is their friend, and they’ll defend him against all the cyberbullies who don’t think he’s the best QB in the history of the game. They literally should all be rounded up and sent to a nuthouse.

It’s easy to spot the Baker Bois, they’ll actually make claims like he’s better than Brady, Brees and Mahomes. Also you’ll notice they never actually talk about anything but Baker, and have zero knowledge about the history of the team, never went to a game, etc etc etc.

It’s perfectly fine to think Baker is a good QB. You’re obviously wrong, but that’s fine, we can’t all be as smart as myself. But that is very very different than the Baker Bois, who literally have no redeeming value to anyone.

  101. Rod Munch Says:

BTW, with as nuts as the Baker Bois are, David is just as insane. Probably a Baker Bois creation so they have someone to defend Baker against – so when they send their daily mail to Bakers house with all the cutout letters and puzzles, they can show examples of how they defending him each day.

  102. Trask Cult Leader Says:

The creepiest part about the Baker Stans is that the they each have a Mayfield Fathead on their bedroom ceiling. Not judging anyone’s lifestyle, just sayin

  103. #99 the big fella Says:

David, you forgot to take your meds.. calm down little boy it’s pretty sad with your infatuation with baker. Kinda think you have a crush on him as much as you talk about him.

  104. Trask Cult Leader Says:

Lets be real here. I like Trask but this screen name is kind of a schitick. I give credit where credit is due:

    * Mayfield is tough and he’s been durable this year. No one is questioning that

    * Mayfield is a popular guy in the locker room . Maybe even a leader. That’s a plus.

    * BUT….despite what the Baker Stans want us to believe….he sucks on mid to long passes. Even when healthy he’s no Brady (pre 2022 Brady)

This is why I’m intrigued by Trask. I think he could be that surgeon that Brady was if he was ever given a chance.

  105. Aj Says:

Although to give Licht credit: This years oline has major issues. Hainsey is roadkill in some games and it helps that Baker is elusive. A tall, stand in the pocket guy might not work until we get (at least) a better center.

So maybe Baker is the best option this year.
The only problem is that he’s nicked up now.

Baker has been the perfect QB to follow the greatest of all time. He has been gritty, played tough and the team has responded with its 4th playoff appearance in a row. Todd Bowles has a coached a team that is filled with rookies starters while having $80mm in dead cap money. I love this team and there is no reason to think they can get a win this week at home. Long time Bucs fan!!

  116. Rod Munch Says:

    Trask Cult Leader Says:

    ————

Baker has good escability … but scrambling? If the Baker Bois want to compare Baker to Mayfield, then this is the one category where they should do so, as Baker averaged a Brady like 2.6 yards per carry (although when Brady was 28, he averaged 3.3 yards per carry).

It’s amazing how many times this year Baker has had these huge holes and you see him take off, and you’re thinking, wow, that’s going to be an easy 20 yard gain, there’s no one around him. Then, somehow, he’s tackled for a 2 yard gain.

He’s not a productive runner at all, no idea why, his ran a 4.84 40, but that doesn’t translate to the field for whatever reason. I know it sounds like I’m bashing him, but I’m not, I’m just needingly the Baker Bois who were triggered and already stopped read this by now. To me, it’s more comical than anything, Baker is failing his arms and legs and looks like he’s moving, then you look at the yard markers, and he’s got 1 yard.

But, again, not taking anything away from his escability, where he’s done a good job.

  117. Conner50 Says:

    @Tony Marks

I’m sure you will being that your obsessed with him and literally worship the dude. You baker fan boys are nut bags, baker don’t know you or give two craps about you

  118. Bucfan1988 Says:

Ultimate mode by Bowles would be to keep telling everyone that zmayfield is a full go, then pull the surprise switcheroo and start Trask…..

He has like very little tape out there and Eagles might have issues in preparing for it………

Trask pushes the ball downfield more than Mayfield does.
If the Eagles having issues in their secondary, then a move like that would catch them off guard…

  119. David Says:

Baker fans are mentally unstable fans. They have
egocentric and antisocial personality marked by a lack of remorse Baker’s trash history in NFL. They have no empathy for anyone who post against their trash boy. They post as he just won the division single handly as C J Stroud without his main receivers and defenders vs trash Baker having two HOF receivers and better defense than Texans.
By the way can you name any of Texans receivers or any of their defensive players ? No. I know why . I tell you . Cause Cj Stroud throwing to trash receivers opposite of your trash boy.
Just imagine if Panthers drafted Cj Stroud instead beating up on your trash boy twice year instead of once year as he did.
Now just shut up and wait until he wins a meningful game for the second time in his trash career.

  120. Usfbuc Says:

To David, chill man, trust me, I have met more than a few NFL players over the years and they do not care near as much as you do. Have some fun debate, backseat coach and GM like the rest of us and enjoy man.

  122. Elmo Says:

    Well said Usfbuc!

  123. David Says:

I am.not an AI fan generated by Baker trash fans as one suggested. I am the real Bucs fan and will not cease until we get this mediocre trash qb with their trag qb out of Tampa before their trash boy contaminates the entire Bucs organization and the city of Tampa turning us back to pre- Brady to mediocrity for the next few years.
Look how often these Baker bois are posting on his great performance vs Brady even after he has been awful and worst for the past two weeks. Imagine what would they post if we win next week and Baker performs well. They will claim that he is younger version of the GOAT. Uh wait maybe in the Bucs locker room not on the field .

  124. David True Bucs Fan Says:

As a fellow David, I don’t approve this negative energy brought upon the David name and JoeBucsFan site which I enjoy reading daily.

Please remember our beloved game of football is entertainment that we have no control over. This David looks forward to watching Bucs games with friends/family and always roots for a win, gets upset at a loss, but has learned that life is too short to hold on to anger and disappointment about football.

I’d just like to know if the Bakers Bois and David are all coming in on the same IP, pretty sure they’re just the same person arguing with himself.

  127. Whiners Aren't Winners Says:

I’m a Baker Mayfield fan and I will root and watch whatever team he’s on. I do think that he sometimes plays less than stellar and makes mistakes, which is a human quality. I also think he has a better team this year than he did with the Browns and Panthers. The Panthers and their fans constantly blamed him for the losses, but look at them this year. Point being that football is a team sport. There are tons of deficiencies and growing pains that the Bucs are going through this season. I wouldn’t suggest following in the path of the Panthers by kicking him off the team, though clearly David wants the Bucs to become as “great” as the Panthers. I would suggest getting tougher lines on both offense and defense as well as teaching those safeties better coverage.

  128. Mike C Says:

David, you believe so hard the buc will get the as kicking, put a grand on it or shut the %#$@ up bro ffs it seriously looks like you have Problems! Settle down, it is OK if some people like bake and think the bucs will win, no need to be so f%$# angry bro.

  129. Delusional Intelligence Says:

I’m old enough to remember the Bucs with Shawn King at QB going to the NFC championship game, and truthfully, they should have won that game. So why not the Bucs? There is no TB12 pressure.

Wouldn’t it be magnificent if Winfield sealed the deal with a pick six, pointing to the name on the back of his jersey ala Ronde. Feck the Pro Bowl!

  130. Bryan Says:

Should be a delightful collection of limping, false starts, fumbles, dropped passes, taking sacks in field goal range, 3rd and one failures, and batted down balls. If anyone could screw up a game like us, it’s the Eagles. GO BUCS

The Falcons crybabies were too busy booking their vacations to Jamaica to bother to play the full 60 minutes, then they cry about it after the game? What a bunch of classless losers.

That’s what you expect from that awful city and low IQ fans.

Again, the one and only thing I liked about Schiano was that he made his team play the full game – no BS taking plays off. Winston did what the Bucs first ever QB Steve Spurrier would do, and that is embarrass a rival. Good for him. And shame on the cupcake losers who complain about that.

  135. Joker's Paradigm Says:

@Be “He clearly does not read this forum and is thus not educated on the subject.”

Classic. That pretty much sums up a majority of the people that post here. Though I never understand the “fun” in coming to a fan site and shatting over the team. Oh well. Sign of the times.

Most concerned about our QB. We can’t have him play like he has the last 2 weeks. I just hope the coaches make the right decisions that give us the best chance to win. Not necessarily a Trask fan, but it would be awesome to see him light it up because no one has much tape on him. But I’m all for Bakin’ if he can go.

  136. Big Red Says:

I probably hate Philly more than any Buccaneers fan, ever.

Watching Ronde shut down the Vet is one of my all time favorite moments in football history.

Watching Matt Bryant nail an improbable 63 yard game winner as time expired resulted in me sprinting down the street and celebrating like we won a superbowl.

That said, I’d be pleasantly surprised if we don’t get curb stomped by the Eagles.

We struggle vs mobile QBs. We struggle vs teams with a good pass rush. We struggle on Monday nights. We struggle at home in 8pm slots. We give career days to average QBs and passers on a regular basis. Our pass rush has been mediocre all season. Baker is an average to above average NFL QB at best. That’s not meant to be disrespectful, just an honest assessment. Hey, teams have won superbowls with less talented QBs.

Can we win? Yes. Any given Sunday, any team can beat another. The odds of us winning are a little unlikely. Eagles probably tanked so they could play us in the wildcard lol.

I really hope we smack them in the mouth. Go Bucs.

  137. Debbie Says:

I agree Big Red. I believe the Eagles tanked to go the wild card route, and play the NFC South winner, to give JH a rest. It takes team work to win. We have all the major players needed to win that are healthy. Defense won the game for us last week. Offense needs to score with a couple touchdowns Monday. Perhaps throwing a long bomb might not be in our best interest if it does not reach the wide reciever. The whole legue knows the rib injury to Mayfield. Throw an accurate short pass, it will rest the defense some. We need them to win this week too. Hey trolls, Buc fans skip your posts, go home. You are not wanted in Florida. I’ll see fans on Monday night. Go Bucs!
