“We Wasn’t Ready Today”

December 31st, 2023

Lavonte David had no answers after today’s clubbing by the Saints at The Licht House.

He seemed to be in stunned disbelief.

“We wasn’t ready today,” David said three times.

His disbelief was focused around the Bucs being so far off their game with “everything on the line.”

“We came out very flat,” David said before blaming himself and saying he didn’t get his teammates ready to play.

“I wasn’t ready today as a leader,” he said.

“You gotta know what’s at stake. You work so hard to get here,” David added before nothing that the Bucs soiled themselves in such a big game.

David led the Bucs today with five solo tackles and six assists.

Bozo Clunkers all over. Good players awful coaching. Fire Bowzo and Co.

  2. Craig Says:

Yep, your problem is obvious, the fix isn’t

  3. BUC CHEEKS Says:

    Ya think?!

  4. Citrus County Says:

The fans realized the many important aspects of this home game but the players and head coach didn’t.

  5. ElioT Says:

They “wasn’t” ready to cash their ticket to the playoffs?

They “wasn’t” ready to beat the crap out of the Saints in front of their home fans?

They “wasn’t” ready to prove they were worth the hype and hope?

    TERRIBLE COACHING!!!

    TODD, you are a LOSER!!!

  6. NJbucs23 Says:

Same old. We’ve seen this many times. Come out flat as usual

  7. Zzbucs Says:

You can play bad in an important game.
What is hard to forget is the lack of effort

  8. Todd Says:

    Hey…it’s been a minute.

Can Canales please call another run play up the middle?

    Please, Dave?

    Cuz that’s your obsession?

Forget the fact you’re many touchdowns behind.

    Just teach them a lesson.

    Don’t mess with your ‘why’.

    #StubbornWins … ?

    Nope. Dumb a$$

  9. SufferingSince76 Says:

Crickets out there from the rose colored glasses crowd. You all owe a big apology to the people you dragged for daring to point out the emperor has no clothes.

  10. Jeebs the Honey Bear Says:

    Bowles.

  11. Citrus County Says:

    Fire Bowles tonight !

  12. Mike Johnson Says:

Simply put..The saint came to ball today guys. They were ready for war..period. We were not. We stopped like only one of their 3rd down conversions in the 1st half. That’s past pitiful. Win next week and thats one more than last year. And its not a given we will beat the Panthers. They got nothin to lose. They may go..all out. We gotta be ready.

  13. Faspro Says:

    That’s on the HC…Todd Bowles; You’re Fired.

  14. Elite Vita Says:

How could you NOT be up for such an important game? How can you be so unmotivated against your division rivals? Unprofessional to be so unprepared. I’m very, very disappointed.

  15. Bosch Says:

Still worried the falcons will offer Canales the head coach job, Joe?

  16. Todd Says:

    This was truly disgusting.

  17. gp Says:

The players(not all) lost this game on the field due to lack of preparation and motivation from the coaching staff, and mostly the head coach.

  18. Curse of Gruden Says:

“We wasn’t” – that says it all for this low I.Q. staff.

  19. Frank Pillow Says:

This is the same reaction/respond to being 3-1. Inexcusable. Don’t bank on winning next week folks. Yeah, the Cats are terrible…but if this performance is how we come out with EVERYTHING on the line, what makes you think this HC and OC have the ability to dial it up? How can this team be flat? What kind of crap is that? They clearly didn’t grind over Xmas week. They didn’t really want it bad enough.

  20. BucfaninMi Says:

It’s F’ing Sunday! Not ready????? WTF? They’re not winning next week. It’s over. Back to the basement for decades. Florida Marlins of football. Crap team who got lucky twice

  21. Bucfan Says:

And the Bucs actually sent me an email this week to buy season tickets next year. I had season ticket for 41 years and dropped them two years AGO. Wise move on my part. The Glazers fired Dungey because he could not take the team to the next level. Hired an offensive minded coach and won a SB. Fired another defensive coach Hired Aherens and won a SB. Will they be stupid enough to keep toilet bowels another year? Go Panthers!!! Perhaps one more loss will make them make a change!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. jehzsa Says:

It felt like “they” wanted a packed stadium next week.

    Here’s one…I’m not going.

  23. Todd Says:

No worries of Canales being poached by Atlanta as head coach and taking Baker with him, Joe.

I think Atlanta will be targeting Dennis Allen and Derek Carr instead.

  24. Todd Says:

Panthers are going to totally f…ck up our season next week, aren’t they?

    That’s the script?

  25. dmatt Says:

Todd for Todd, as in Monken. Bowles is just not interested in putting points on the board. As u can see, he has his lap dog Canales doing the same thing he had his lapdog Leftwich doing last year. Same song just different singer.

  26. UGotRobbed Says:

What!!! What an indictment on the coaching staff!!!

  27. Ramblin_Man Says:

After the loot I laid down to take my daughter to the game today, I will not spend a dime on this team until Todd Bowles is fired. If I were the glazers his key card would be deactivated the second he walks out of thw facilities tonight

  28. Greg Says:

Amazing how many of you dopes blame the coaches 100% and give the players a pass. Simple minded dopes.

  29. EternalSon Says:

After winning four with all at stake, I expected more.

    Odd team

  30. Mord Says:

Defense was frequently confused. My seats are right behind the Bucs’ bench, and just to add to the other observations about the defensive futility, there seemed even to be a lot of times today where defensive players couldn’t even cleanly execute *substitutions*! Lots of confused hand gestures and shrugs, players dashing halfway out onto the field and then racing back to avoid a 12 men on the field penalty. Idk. Seemed like a lot of that today.

Infuriating to see that by the end of the game Carr’s jersey was clean enough to reuse again next week

  31. Jeremy Goins Says:

That was horrible from start to finish. I turned it off after some 4th quarter interception, I couldn’t take it anymore. Quit running the flippin ball you morons. If it looks painfully obvious to me who has no real football credentials how in the F can they just continue to do it first down after first down. Get a shitty run on first then run it again on 2nd? We regressed horribly in a key match up. This has to point to coaching, how can it not? All coaches should feel fully responsible for this. They don’t learn from mistakes at all. Makes me not want to root for them when it looks like they are not trying to win. I’m a life long BUCS fan but this b.s. sux. So much hype all week got to them I guess. Wish we got shit out. Hard for coaches to stay employed after that

  32. Buckeyebuckchuck Says:

The sky is not falling. Yep, they laid a big old crapburger today. On to Carolina

  33. Pewter power Says:

You see what I’m saying? You have a defensive coach and one of the longest tenured leaders on the DEFENSE comes out and says we want ready! This team could have clinched the . The head coach is the d coordinator and he’s trash. BOWLES IS HOT GARBAGE.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHY THE NATIONAL MEDIA ISN’T TALKING ABOUT US

  34. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

    I “weren’t” ready as a fan neither!

  35. Lakeland Steve Says:

The Bucs aren’t front runners. When they get told how good they are this is the result. Now, take the same group of guys and tell them they suck and they don’t belong on the field and they will come out playing like they have something to prove. This is coaching, this is the players this is the organization. Disrespect us please!

  36. Tom Says:

54 said,”we weren’t ready”. That’s 100% coaching. This is Todd Bowles track record. Mediocre. Soft zone D. FIRE TODD BOWLES!!!

  37. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

I cringed when I read the quote because I’m more forgiving than most people when reading these quotes from grown adults who got their education for free their whole life’s but refuse to learn or use the correct grammar taught to them but get upset because others use their vernacular. Imagine reporters asking ” Do you mean we WEREN’T ready?” The chaos and suffering it would cause. I know one’s lack of proper grammar usage doesn’t denote the level of their intelligence but get tired of hearing it at times.

  38. CleanHouse Says:

    Amen suffering since 76

everyone hated on me all week

    I spoke the obvious truth

Obvious to the 13% who predicted an L

    Mediocre team

  39. teacherman777 Says:

I swear. I think some guys take too many vape hits before the game.

  40. Mickey west Says:

Todd and company should be fired
    Inexcusable, terrible coaching
Run,run, run, punt we have 2 of the best relievers
In football and don’t use them
Shame on you Todd and company
Shame on ownership for continuing to put up with this mediocre coaching staff the fans deserve better

  41. Brandon Says:

People either forget or don’t know, the Saints are coming off a Thursday night game. The Bucs had off until Wednesday. They weren’t as physically or mentally prepared as they should have been. This is to be expected. Teams coming off Thursday games usually win big the following week. That 45-0 trouncing we suffered against the Raiders in 99 was a late season game that was sandwiched between some big wins and a good playoff run. We will play the starters next week, win, and enter the post season with momentum.
