  1. Boss Says:

At this point they could win the SB and toilet bowl would not get much confidence.

The people have seen waaaay to many bone headed moves, apathy and blame games.

  2. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Two game win streak and still no confidence……..they win in spite of him.

Win out and he will finally get my vote of confidence.

  3. Jason Says:

9 men on the field and nobody is cut or fired.
    Zero accountability equals Zero confidence.

  4. SB~LV Says:

    LC

  5. bucnjim Says:

This week will decide the fate of so many. If the team shows up and beats the Packers in Green Bay we will be back to .500 with a chance to win the division. If they don’t we will still not have beaten a decent team and will have little chance of making the playoffs. 6-8 time to shut it down.

  6. Jugheadfla Says:

Anyone who voted anything other than no confidence must really love that patented Bowels cover zero defense

  7. All_da_way Says:

Until I see the defense play disciplined football consistently I can’t say I am confident in Bowles ability as a HC.

Accountability and consistency in December will determine the Bucs and Bowles fate.

  8. BucU Says:

Two game win streak and still no confidence……..they win in spite of him.

Win out and he will finally get my vote of confidence.
    ***************************************************************
Exactly correct. The rare times they do win it is in spite of TB. Win out and we’ll revisit the issue. Don’t hold your breath for that.

  9. Lord Cornelius Says:

Pretty damning we are all at little or no confidence even after 2 wins lol.

It just doesn’t feel right. It doesn’t feel or look like a well coached team at all.

Your secondary is getting torched constantly. There is an article PR did that breaks down how we have a gaping Cover 3 issue that teams consistently abuse us on.

Kyle PItts / Drake london /Desmond Ridder weren’t doing sh1t most weeks but when they play us it’s like all these big plays are manufactured somehow with wide open guys. That’s a coaching failure.

  10. Lord Cornelius Says:

The only way he gets my endorsement is if this defense plays at an elite SB like level the rest of the year and we actually look competent in the playoffs.

Hell if the D plays elite the rest of the year and Mayfield absoltuely craps himself that may even be enough for me. But right now this is a bottom 3 pass defense , a top 10 run defense, and mediocre overall, despite an incredibly weak schedule in a down year of the NFL.

  11. orlbucfan Says:

I checked last week’s poll and it mirrors this one. I voted the opposite. It falls on Canales. The players will be ready. Go Bucs!

  12. Davenport Says:

More guys are confident than last week?
    Are you watching the games?
For the future of the team, he needs to go!

  13. Since76 Says:

I know the coaches had 9 players in the goal line play but the defence is still playing better than the offense. Even handicapped by bad coaching. It’s a bucs life.

  14. Couch Fan Says:

Bowles has shown what he is. He continues to show what he is each and every week or rather what he isnt, a good coach. At this point even when we win we still lose with this guy. 0 confidence and nothing is going to change that. Perhaps maybe a deep run in the playoffs but that would need some competence. Something Bowles will never have.

  15. Mike C Says:

9 players on defense….. his “specialty” in a GOAL LINE situation? 😴 💤 asleep at the wheel in the worst most obvious ways, CALL A TIMEOUT!!!! smh

  16. Buc1987 Says:

Some people aren’t awake at 7:00 Joe.

  17. Curse of Gruden Says:

Bowles’ arrow is pointing up. 13% have some sort of confidence!

  18. Gipper Says:

I would rather rely on Bruce Arians judgement about Bowles rather than a bunch of never was or never will be football “experts.” The people who comment here remind me of those who hire a heating contractor to fix their furnace and tell the heating contractor what is wrong and how to fix it.

  19. Jack Clark Says:

I’m confident Todd Bowles will stop running that weak as Cover 2 defense

  20. Mike C Says:

    Gipper….. 9 players on defense

  21. Buc1987 Says:

    Gipper voted Totally Confident.

  22. Dlavid Says:

It does not matter how Bowles finishes the year …. He needs to be let go !

  23. NJbucs23 Says:

Let’s be honest here. The NFL currently is trash. Look how many teams are 6-7, which is basically the whole league! And to be honest, the Bucs are playing better currently than the Eagles. You should hear the sports talk radio up here in the philly / south jersey market.

People who lived in Florida or anywhere else their whole lives have no idea what sports fans are like.

  24. HC Grover Says:

I think they can beat the Pack and Jax. Just a hunch.

  25. firethecannons Says:

I did not get to vote–I would of been “zero confidence” we won the last 2 games and that is despite Todd Bowles, he will make many bad decisions going forward for this team. Anyway we have a nice offense that is routinely stalled. baker is playing well and yet we still are doing bad. maybe he could keep running the D but that will never happen.

I think they can beat the Pack and Jax. Just a hunch.

Are you joking? if the pack doesn’t beat us and they absolutely should, Jax is going to absolutely crush us, that is a well coached team compared to our toilet Bowels

  27. HC Grover Says:

Like I said it is just a hunch.

  28. Usfbuc Says:

Gipper – imo TB and BA were friends he thought he was handing TB a team that could coast into the playoffs and his buddy TB could ride the coattails of Brady to win a SB. Little did BA know that Brady was going to have personal issues, and we would be hit with injuries that set the offense back.

Also TB has shown in the past that he is a good DC but not all good coordinators make good Head Coaches. TB needs to stick to what he knows like Monte Kiffin did during his career.

  29. T. McGee Says:

I’m against this idea that the Packers are a decent opponent. They have a losing record. This game doesn’t show anything except one mediocre team will prevail over another. The mystique of Lambau is cool and all, but they lost to the Patriots there this season.

  30. not Says:

    REALLY ????

Our win over the Falcons last week changed the majority from NO confidence to LITTLE confidence ?
What a fickle bunch ! You can’t tell me a 4 point win over the lowly falcons suddenly makes TB a better more reliable coach.

  31. Tony Marks Says:

YOU guys get waaay to upset over polls. NFL teams aren’t a democracy

  32. Dave Pear Says:

As previously suggested, there needs to be a choice worse than “no confidence.” Like an infinite anti-confidence measure. Or something.

The PR Cover 3 bust expose’ is damning and tells it in detailed fashion. The fourth estate would be well advised to ask Todd why his prized defensive genius doesn’t translate to his players knowing their assignments. Todd says “coach it better.” So what is Todd going to do different? The same old Milquetoast pablum has his “specialty” performing among the league’s worst.

So sick of his coaching. I do like him and would welcome into my neighborhood to grill out and slam beers. But head coaching? Nooooo.

  34. Gipper Says:

I’ll stick with my previous statement about Todd Bowles and Bruce Arians. Going to be happy to say; “I told you so.” Unlike most of you commentators who have never made a mistake in your life, I believe the truly successful people are those who learn from their mistakes and get better. TB is, I am pretty sure, is one of those people. If you aren’t blaming TB, you are happy to blame Baker Mayfield who has accomplished more as a football player at Oklahoma and the Browns than most of you will ever will in your narrow lives.

  35. Dave Pear Says:

    Gipper –

When has Todd demonstrated that he ever learns from mistakes or does anything different? His defense is making the same mistakes over and over. His offensive philosophy is time of possession, he hates scoring fast, or a lot. This has been the case. Cover 3, Cover 0, Cover Nobody. Busts, 9 men on the field – this is routine.

If you’re right and he learns, yay for us all.

But since the world hasn’t suddenly reversed poles, it’s as likely that Bowels changes for the better as it is that a bag with $1 million cash in it shows up in my back yard.

  36. orlbucfan Says:

Dave Pear, how about making a positive comment about the Bucs? You really are a joke, and not a fan. NJBucs: believe me, the FL NFL fans will give your area a run for the money in terms of rabid nutcase fruitloops. Add in the college FB fans, who-hoo, and I don’t do college ball. Bucs will win this Sunday.

  37. unbelievable Says:

Barely beating 2 terrible NFC South teams isn’t that impressive, sorry.

Get a win against Green Bay, and I’ll start to have some confidence again.

  38. Gipper Says:

    unbelievable Says,

When we all get some confidence in what you have achieved in your life, we might care. Otherwise, you will be just some person who picks on those actually in the arena. Is Insignificant your middle name?

  39. unbelievable Says:

Is “triggered” your middle name, Gipper?

Or do you just have your panties in a bunch from jumping up and down as Todd Bowles’ biggest cheerleader?

I spent 1.5 seasons believing in Todd Bowles and giving him the benefit of the doubt. But I don’t see improvement. I see the same types of mistakes week in and week out. In fact his defense has actually been getting worse.

And I won’t apologize for having expectations that are higher than this mediocre, sub .500, can’t beat a single team with a winning record, Bucs team.

So like I said, show me a reason. Confidence and respect are earned, not given.

“Cover 3, Cover 0, Cover Nobody.”

Sir, do I have your permission to use your quote in future posts. I have a feeling these words will be applicable for quite some time.

  41. Dave Pear Says:

Curse – of course. Public domain. Don’t forget the umbrella scheme name — “Zone Bust.”

  42. gotbbucs Says:

Yes, a win is a win, but almost all of our wins the last two seasons just don’t feel like convincing or well deserved wins, and I know there aren’t that many of those in any one season for any team, even the great teams, but this feels like a regime that just doesn’t put together a good enough game plan any week to legitimately beat any team on the schedule.
The Falcons gave us an 8 yard field and a safety last week and we still had to win by the skin of our teeth. If we played the Bears again right now I think they would run us right off the field. Kirk Cousins gave us the Vikings game.
Let’s say for arguement sake that Bowles stays and Mayfield remains the QB next season. Does anybody believe that maybe a couple rookies contributing next year is going to help this team, with its current roster and philosophy, win more games? No. This team currently can barely overcome having a single thing go wrong during the game. They are surviving solely on the opponent making a mistake so glaring that it adds or takes points off the board.
Riding with Bowles further will represent being stuck in the mud with minimal room to move forward, only to have to go backward again farther and praying the next running start gets you out.

  43. Dave Pear Says:

    gotbbucs for Admiral.

  44. Gipper Says:

    unbelievable,
I am going to go slowly for you and your pals on this site so you might get my frame of reference. My kids went to StVincent/StMary high school in Akron, Ohio when Lebron James was their 17 year old classmate. I spent 4 years listening to a bunch of parents comparing notes saying he wasn’t that good and couldn’t do this or that. I said:”He is the best basketball player I have ever seen.” I think time has proven me right. The expert crew who bashed LeBron, the basketball player, reminds me of the same group of experts here who critique Mayfield, etc. Not implying that Mayfield is the football equivalent of Lebron James, just saying that he is a solid pro with great instincts and a strong arm. Also saying that if Baker gets through this season in one piece, he will be in the top 8 in NFL QB’s this year. Why don’t we wait and see?

  45. Irish Laughter Says:

Don’t be surprised if our Bucs go on a massive winning streak. They have some momentum now which is being fueled by a confident Mayfield. I have said all along that Mayfield is the real deal. Bowles, that is another question, but I can be swayed if the Bucs continue to win!!!! Keeping it real in Ireland

  46. unbelievable Says:

Oh, I get it now- Gipper is just delusional.

He think he’s the only one who knew LeBron would be good bahahaha what a clown

    😂😂😂😂

  47. Gipper Says:

    unbelievable,

I can explain it for you, just can’t comprehend it for you. Comprehension—that’s something you have always struggled with?

  48. Obvious Says:

So now, the bakerettes are comparing mayfail to LeBron James!

Tickled.. Man you guys give me hope for selling swamp land in Arizona….

P.T. Barnum was right. There IS a sucker born every minute.

Hey Gipper, keep in mind that YOU put YOUR stamp on mayfail getting 10 touchdowns in 4 games. He only needs 8 more in 3 for your guarantee….

Not gonna be able to move the goal post buddy so Good Luck with That..

    Puff, Puff, pass…

  49. Dom>Licht Says:

Less confidence that LIcht will hire the right coach and draft the next QB this off season!!

  50. Gipper Says:

    Obvious,
You ought to go back and read what I said which is essentially I have heard groups of “adults” criticizing young LeBron James. Just reminded me of the same type of comments relating to Mayfield. Never compared Mayfield to Lebron or anyone else, but since you brought it up check out Drew Brees early years in San Diego where they were happy to get rid of him. Brees turned out pretty nicely in New Orleans. Mayfield in 2018 set the rookie record for most TD passes playing in only 14 games. Don’t really care what you think. You like “unbelievable” seem challenged by reading comprehension as well.

  51. optimisticbucsfan Says:

2018 is a long long time in football.

who cares about some rookie record?

    what’s he dome recently?

  52. Gipper Says:

    optimistic fan,
Recently Mayfield has his team in first place after leading the team to a victory versus Atlanta last week. This brings Mayfield stats for 2023 to 20Td versus 8Int. Bucs are heading toward a division championship. That is pretty recent. Got it?

  53. unbelievable Says:

The only one struggling here is Gipper with his delusions of grandeur, thinking he’s the only one who knew Lebron James would be good, LMAO. And then trying to turn that into a comparison with Baker Mayfield of all people, during a discussion about Todd Bowles.

You’re out of your element kid. Take a seat.
