Hidden Game-Saver From Jake Camarda

December 4th, 2023

Gotta love when your punter has the ability to sky for a poor snap and catch it with two hands — in the rain.

That’s what Bucs superhuman punter Jake Camarda did yesterday deep in Tampa Bay territory, and he still got off a strong punt.

The gloomy looking screen shot above tells the story. It was early in the second quarter and the Bucs had struggled to move the ball. If Camarda doesn’t leap like that and have clean hands, the Bucs might have lost yesterday to the pathetic Panthers.

By Joe’s estimation, Camarda easily cleared 26 inches on his vertical leap with no notice as the Zach Triner snap saild hight and right.

Camarda has been making crazy athletic plays since he was drafted last season, and he’s certainly a top-5 punter in the league.

Joe is waiting for Camarda to get his shot on a sneak. Camarda ran a 4.56 40 yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, and Joe has been told Camarda likely is faster now. The dude is just a spectacular athlete.

Todd Bowles might want to by him a few Publix gift cards this morning.

Excellent fourth round draft pick by Jason Licht. Kudos to Licht and Camarda

  2. A Bucs Fan Says:

Thank you, Jake!! Saved the season vs Carolina two years in a row on that one.

  3. Lakeland Steve Says:

Our Punter and Kicker have both had a real good season so far and is one of the reasons we have been in just about every game this year.

  4. DS Says:

    Camarda all pro punter

Camarda truly is the anti-Aguayo. I balked at his being drafted by the Bucs where he was but he is consistently demonstrated absolutely awesome value to his team. Evans has team MVP locked but Camarda is an outsized source of keeping these Bucs in playoff conversations. I’d love to see that speed and athletic ability on a fake punt myself but he is just so darn good at his job it’s a tough playcall to make. I’d rather be excited about the coaching and run game but since I can’t be it sure is great to have a boss punter and good kicker to boot (pun intended.) Now Licht and Souter need to hit it out of the park on a RB in the draft. Pretty please with sugar on top 🙏🏻

*Spytek not Souter. How autocorrect came up with that mystifies me.

Tyler Allgeier RB Atlanta was selected many picks after Camarda and certainly would have benefited our offense greatly over the last 2 seasons. No GM worth his salt picks kickers or punters. So Camarda made a play-that is what he is supposed to do.

    Best athlete on the team.

Thank you, Mr. Positive! You can pick and choose who should’ve been taken years AFTER a draft, any numbknob can do that.

I Want to see a fake punt Sunday, maybe two. What is Bowles waiting for?

I do not consider that game a win.

You were the one, the only one, who said the Bucs would crush the Panthers. The rest of us know that the Bucs have a sh!tty team this year.

  13. TampaBayBucsFanSince1976 Says:

The point airhead is that position players are FAR more valuable than kickers, I knew I would have to DUMB it DOWN for some idiot.

Joe in Michigan Says: Oh now I get it.

  14. Bucfan Says:

Many complained when he was drafted in the 4th round. How many other 4th round picks impact the game as much as him? NONE Great draft choice that should be around at least another 10 years.

  15. Usfbuc Says:

Camarda is great, hope he is with the team for years to come.

  16. Buc15 Says:

We need to lock him up for the next decade.

What is the Bucs record since you have the honorary position of picking what a win and lose is? Are they in the post season chase? Do they get an imaginary 1st round pick according to your very special record? What exactly does your made up wins and lose get them?

  18. Buc1987 Says:

4.56 40 yard dash…wow maybe tryout for RB.

    Hmm
    Allgeier 40/10/20 4.6/1.56/2.66
    Carmada 40/10/20 4.56/1.53/2.62

Maybe he can be an RB for us

  20. T. McGee Says:

The punter needs a 10 year contract. Place kickers get the yips, but that dude is money.

  21. garro Says:

Can he play safety or ILB Joe?

    Asking for a friend…

    Go Bucs!
