On the series Baker misses an open Evans, which would have been a TD. Then threw way to high, only to have Evans make an incredible catch to get it to the 1-inch line. Then the playcalling becomes retarded.
What a mess. Up until that goalline, Canales did a great job with the playcalling. How do you fall apart like that? Why are you in shotgun at the 1-inch line with a new QB in there? Just awful, stupid, playcalling.

Healthy or not Baker ain’t that guy. Every team in the league knows that. He’s a good backup. With that said, I expect little to none from Trask. I don’t think “The Guy” exists on our roster and this is a deep QB class coming up. It’s not far away from at least seeing what Trask does. This is must win and it doesn’t look great.

Stats need context and can be misleading if not given proper context, genius. For example, Just because a quarterback throws for 300 yards and 2 touchdowns in the fourth quarter against a second string defense because they were getting blown out by 30 points doesn’t mean he had a good game. I’m comfortable leaving mayfield in until the season is mathematically over, yes.
Trask has been with the team a long time and failed to win the starting position. His admittedly *very* limited game time has not demonstrated that he brings a significant upside to Mayfield.
Now maybe he has something, none of us know, but if he was good enough, I’d expect him to have shown it to the coaching staff after 3 years with the organisation.

The announcer was saying this is an example of everyone covered and he tripped on his words. #19 uncovered all by himself but Baker never turns his head. He has happy feet. He does throw a good ball but he’s always running out of the pocket. There’s little upside to Bake.

The kid was a 6th rounder because of his hands, he was extremely inconsistent catcher in college and had issues with drops. Otherwise he has 1st round talent.
Also he was never meant to be a starter. To me you can’t label him a bust. You can say he’s not a starter, which is fair, but he’s not a bust as he overachieved to even make the team.
