Antonio Brown Felt Tom Brady, Bucs Turned On Him

April 19th, 2023

Former Bucs receiver Antonio Brown explains famous meltdown.

Who will ever forget when nutcase receiver Antonio Brown did topless jumping jacks in the end zone of MetLife Stadium while the Bucs had the ball in the second half, before bolting out of the tunnel and dragging his NFL career with him?

Joe will take to his grave that the Bucs’ chances of repeating as Super Bowl champions went right out the tunnel with Brown.

Since, Brown has turned into a complete and total buffoon. Unable to stay out of trouble — getting sued (again) for not paying people, getting into hassles with rent-a-cops at arena football games (though Brown is likely in the right there) — the list goes on.

Brown even began dragging Tom Brady, once his close friend and landlord, through the mud on social media. Brown even resorted to posting fake nudes of Brady’s ex-wife, the model Gisele Bündchen, and later publishing texts from Brady.

Swell guy, huh?

So where does all this Brady outrage come from? Why did he bolt off the field in New Jersey? Brown hopped on the “Million Dollaz Worth Of Game” podcast and explained why he turned on Brady.

Basically, Brown claims that the Bucs dissed him in contract negotiations before the 2021 season and that  Brady turned on him. Douglas Charles of BroBible.com has the transcript.

“Now when we get the ring in 2021… the next year I’m the last guy that’s signed,” Brown said. “My agent Ed Wasielewski is getting called, cursed out by Tom Brady over why is he pushing back for the contract for scraps.

“Imagine if you heard that, the same guy that brought you in to win a ring, the same agent he told you to hook up with to get the deal, is now telling me, the guy’s calling him, saying, yo, cursing him out about scraps of a contract.”

Brown said the Bucs not giving him what he thought he was worth and then Brady blasting his agent was very much on his mind when he went mental in New Jersey during that fateful Bucs-Jets game.

When then-Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians cussed out Brown and told him to get off his sideline, Brown said he figured if the general manager, the coach and the quarterback didn’t have his back (in Brown’s warped mind), then why is he even in a Bucs uniform?

Brown said after finally getting his ring for the Bucs, he was only playing for fun and he felt the Bucs situation he was in was no longer fun, only hostile. So, adios!

And bye-bye went a back-to-back Super Bowl appearance for Tampa Bay.

    Ef that low iq pos!!!

  2. Leopold Stotch Says:

If he was just playing for fun, then the contract shouldn’t have been a big deal.

    Enough about this Nut Job
    Anything Football related to post?

  4. frankbucsfan Says:

Joe, are you so desperate for print that you must continue to give this low life weasel POS, space and time? how is this related to anything of QUALITY reporting?

  5. Kybucsfan Says:

    Cost buccaneers a third ring

  6. Mikejp Says:

Tom and the Bucs fumbled in this case. AB is not a normal player, they should take care case by case as a small child with some problems. Tom might think he should wait until the last day like Gronk to fit the cap.

  7. mg Says:

    Go play in traffic, AB.

  8. SufferingSince76 Says:

I thought he was injured and couldn’t go back in the game. He should really try to keep his lies in line, so he’s at least consistent. And Mikejp, coddling a lunatic only gets you so far, as we saw.

  9. SteveK Says:

We don’t win the super bowl without him, and I’m not sure how it could’ve worked out better for longer? Kudos to the Goat for getting us a ring and kudos to AB for keeping it together long enough to win one w is too.

I feel bad for AB, I think there is some mental stuff going on there.

  10. Timbo Slice Says:

Look at the picture at the top of the article and tell me again who turned on who

  11. Zoocomics Says:

@Kybucsfan… Wirfs getting injured is what cost Bucs a third ring…imo. Brown leaving obviously didn’t help matters as injuries started to lineup during that stretch. But I think Tom would have made lemonade if our Oline stays intact throughout the playoffs.

Tom proved this past season that if things weren’t perfectly tight on that offensive line, you can have all the weapons in the world and still only score 17 pts/game.

  13. Aceofaerospace Says:

What a baby. I look forward to reading about this knucklehead filing bankruptcy. You know it’s coming. Stupid people make stupid decisions and suffer the consequences of being stupid.

  14. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Crazy paranoid schizophrenic but oh is he talented……what a sad sack of $hit he has become……very sad indeed.

  15. Dooley Says:

Ab is going to get into the HOF eventually, but in no way is the NFL going to let AB of today get on a podium and accept a gold jacket. To be honest, they might stall him out until he croaks, I know morbid, but the league isn’t giving this dude a hot mic during an induction ceremony.

  16. Ultra ClodHopper Says:

This guys emotions are high maintenance.

Give the guy a break he was raised in Liberty City. One of my top 5 highlights in Buccaneer history.

Totally agree Joe, Antonio Brown and Gronk were the only reliable players Brady had to get open, throw to, and catch the football consistently. It’s the Bucs fault for not paying Brown what he was worth. I know Tom Brady always took pay cuts and was never the highest paid quarterback so it’s understandable for Brady to expect Brown to do the same thing but Brady never played for pennies after he proved himself and neither should have Brown. I blame the Jason Licht for not paying players proportionally to their contributions for us winning the Super Bowl

  21. Aceofaerospace Says:

Jack Clark, salary cap and red flags have a lot to with AB’s contract. If he were the highest paid receiver in NFL history, he’d still be an unstable nut case. Not every team can afford to break the bank on a potential psychopath.

  22. Dooley Says:

Aceofaerospace, correct and AB on this same podcast complained about the money being tied to incentives and not guaranteed.

  23. Dusthty Rhothdes Says:

Jack Clark, are you AB? you cannot pay that knucklehead after what he has shown in the past to the teams he was on; like the foot thing with the Raiders. He was the same clown as he was in the past and you do not go to the zoo and feed the elephants gold you give them peanuts

Arians inability to manage the big personalities on the 2021 Roster cost this team a chance at a repeat.

  25. Goatfarmer Says:

BA mismanaged what big personalities? He managed AB absolutely right. GTFOOH was the only move to make at the time. And the Bucs made their roaring comeback win after AB left. TJ and Grayson played very well. Who else?

AB helped us win a Super Bowl for pennies, and as long as a player is helping us win Super Bowls I don’t care what he does off the field.

Arians had the exact same roster the year before and they won a Super Bowl in the middle of a pandemic. Please!

  28. NEfan Says:

Say what you want, Bucs were 8-0 when he played. The contract stuff is BS, if he didn’t like the deal, why did he take it. At that point other teams would have scoffed him up. Goat, you are 100% wrong, BA mismanaged the situation and his temper got in the way of the teams success. Either way, if AB is sick then I feel bad for the guy but if he is just a immature dck, then he deserves nothing.

More like go play in a water full of piranhas sharks barracudas alligators or crocodiles.

I feel sorry for AB. If he continues down this path, it won’t end well.

  31. Mike Johnson Says:

Antonio..it better be my way Brown. Dude is a loon.

  32. SlyPirate Says:

    Zero sh*ts to give AB.

  33. Tony Says:

Starting to wonder if Devin has been hanging out with Antonio a little too much recently. He’s only caring about himself now.

  34. Jon Grudin Says:

    Q. What college did AB attend?

    A. Wide Receiver, Antonio Brown, FU.

  35. Infomeplease Says:

AB didn’t have anything bad to say about TB12 or the Bucs when at the end of the last game of the superbowl year they fed him the ball to make bonus and cheated Jones of a 1000 yard rushing season!

AB is a quitter!! That will forever be remembered in NFL history! And probably keep him out of the HOF!!

ABS says: “Arians inability to manage the big personalities on the 2021 Roster cost this team a chance at a repeat.”

The Bucs, not Rams, could have very well been in the Superbowl if our loyal on field defensive play caller (Devin White) had properly communicated the defensive play call that the Ram’s last scored on!! If you forgot, it was a zero blitz! Most people here, including at least one Joe, blames Todd Bowles for the call itself! I blame the on field play caller for not getting everyone on the same page! After all, that is his job!!!

After the loss several defensive players were quoted as saying that they didn’t know what the play was. A zero blitz is most likely to work if everyone who is supposed to be blitzing is!!!

  38. Infomeplease Says:

To clarify: several of the defensive players, that were on the field during that play, did not know what play had been called by Bowles!

  39. DG060 Says:

Slow Buc news day I see.

  40. firethecannons Says:

That picture is forever a classic, you can see Brady and the rest of the offense on the field too

  41. Crickett Baker Says:

I am with Joe on Arians managing players. He also did very well with Fournette and even Brady. I miss him a lot.

  42. Tony Says:

What can Brown do for you?

    He can:

    CAUSE YOU TO START DRINKING
    GIVE YOU A HEADACHE
    MAKE YOU GO INSANE

    Along with many others.

  43. Doc Says:

iI guess cussing out a grown man is ok, in front of the other players. That is when coach Bruce lost the team.

  44. Power of Pewter Says:

Brown has mental issues. CTE? Probably going to only get worse, as I don’t see him seeking treatment. Some day it will come to a head…
