Nick Wright: Bucs Upgraded At Quarterback From Tom Brady To Baker Mayfield

March 18th, 2023

Bullish on Bucs.

If you said this in a bar, you’d get cut off or punched.

The Bucs are better off with Baker Mayfield than with Tom Brady. Yes, you read that correctly. Your foggy head from celebrating St. Patrick’s Day last night didn’t mess with your eyes (but the green beer may have messed with your head).

The above contention that the Bucs are better off with Mayfield than Brady is what Nick Wright is pushing. The FOX Sports personality is a known Brady hater. And this week on FOXSports.com Wright said he can see the Bucs offense improving this season without Brady.

Wright seemed sober and sincere.

Wright doesn’t even dismiss Mayfield leading the Bucs to another NFC South title.

“Carolina is going to start their first overall pick at quarterback,” Wright began. “They are not going to win the division. Atlanta doesn’t know what thet are doing. They could go sign Lamar [Jackson]. That would be awesome. They’d be really good. But they don’t seem to want to do that.

“It wouldn’t shock me if the Saints won nine games and won the division. I don’t think they are locked in for being a horrific team. I think they are locked in for not competing for Super Bowls.”

Wright then pointed out how the Bucs were 25th in the NFL in scoring, for which Wright partially blamed Brady. He’s quite confident that will improve.

“Do I think the Bucs with Baker will average more points than they did with Tom? I do,” Wright said. “Because that team’s offensive line was in shambles in a way it won’t be this year. Tom wouldn’t take any hits. Tom was kind of checked out it seems.

“Do I think [the Bucs] will be really good? No. Do I think the offense will be better? I do.”

Wright has a point. When you’re 25th in the NFL in scoring, there little room to get worse, not with the weapons Mayfield (competing Kyle Trask?) will have. And already the Bucs are reshuffling their offensive line.

Joe could argue if the Bucs just stay consistent on defense and improve on offense with new Bucs offensive coordinator Dave Canales, the division can be had.

    Gibberish

  2. Onetrickpony Says:

I don’t know about all that

  3. sasquatch Says:

They WILL have a higher scoring offense this year than last.

  4. dmatt Says:

As I said early last year, it’s not the offense that concerns me, it’s the defense. Ever since the playoff loss to the Rams in 2021, the defense concerned me. No pressure on the qb, allowing too many long drives, allowing too many converted third and long, not getting off the field on third downs, lack of aggressiveness, passive (abundance of missed) tackles, “too many busted plays n bone head penalties”, just an overall lack of discipline. It is imperative that we bolster the defensive line. I say draft mostly defense but give FA safety Nolan Turner and Don Gardner more playtime to showcase their skills.

  5. Christopher Says:

Clearly Baker is not a better QB than Brady. But 100% agree that a motivated weak azz Baker is better than a mentally and physically checked out Brady who is so terrified of being hit that he routinely throws balls into the dirt or to the other team if his receivers are not wide open. How many times did the “Goat” scramble to avoid a sack vs throwing the ball away early before a play could develop?

  6. bucnjim Says:

In today’s NFL the QB has to at least have the ability to get out of the pocket and run when necessary. If we have the same weapons as last year we will score more points. I’d like to see a couple upgrades on both lines but I’m open minded when it comes to giving them a chance and not go doom and gloom.

  7. 1sparkybuc Says:

Brady scored yards. He couldn’t score points. His focus wasn’t on football. I believe his time as the GOAT was done along with his marriage.

  8. DungyDance Says:

Mayfield obviously is not comparable to Brady, but the point is correct in that the Bucs will score more points this year. That has much more to do with running Leftwich out of town than anything else.

  9. Allbuccedup Says:

The Bucs will not score more points and have less yards on offense. This team definitely did not improve itself in free agency David and Dean were on the team last year. Edmunds could not hold Fournettes jockstrap. The only reason we got Mayfield is because Brissett wanted more money. I can not believe these people think Mayfield is an upgrade from Brady. I ask you how many rings does Mayfield own?

  10. Allbuccedup Says:

All this BS is the usual ticket hype.

  11. gotbbucs Says:

    He’s not wrong.

  12. Bucfan593 Says:

I’m not really going to miss throwing the ball in the dirt in 1.7 seconds. I’ll miss 2020 and 2021 Brady

  13. Tampafan21 Says:

I think he’s got a point. Let’s be real. Brady had no time at all. Fournette seamed checked out and deflated. Evans was bo where near himself. Neither was Godwin. There was so much wrong sadly in bradys last season. We will score more just because everything including rb1 imo,has got better. Brady is a better qb but even he seamed checked out by mid season. Can you blame him though?? Leftwhich and bowles are not good. I hope bowles doesn’t go anywhere near the offense.

  14. Dooley Says:

    @DMatt

We ranked 25th in total points scored on offense last year, our defense ranked 13th in total points allowed. Our offense didn’t do much in the first half of games averaging 8.2 ppg in the first half, which is pedestrian for a Tom Brady led offense and will be a low bar for whomever wins this QB battle in 2023.

Our 2022 offense played every game of the season, pretty much like that divisional round game in 2021 when they had to make up in the 2nd half for what they repeatedly failed to do in the first half which is moving the chains and putting points on the board.

Stick with me here, our offense didn’t score a TD in that game until there were 12 seconds left in the 3rd quarter by then the Rams were up already up 27-6. Had it not been for the defense forcing a few stops in the last 15 minutes of the game, and a few desperation plays by our offense we wouldn’t have been in the position we were to pull defeat out of the jaws of victory. Hard to win games when either said of the ball is giving you 30 minutes of production in a 60 minute game and how many times did THAT script play out in games in 2022? I can think of at least 5 regardless of the outcome, that’s not a sustainable way to win football games in fact, it’s actually pretty chaotic.

  15. BucfaninMi Says:

Baker is exactly what this team needs! A cocky, fired up player ready to prove himself again. I think it’s the best QB move this team has ever made, aside from Brady of course. Brad Johnson and Winston are the next best we’ve ever seen, A change of environment and chemistry will change Baker, I think he’ll be great here.

  16. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Mayfield is better than last year’s Brady……and Canales is light years ahead of Leftwich……(insert any OC here)

  17. Duane Says:

It would be very hard to improved Tom Brady’s passing numbers, even last season when he finished fourth in the league, let alone the previous season when he finished first in the league in passing yards and passing touchdowns.

But it certainly IS plausible that the offense will be better in 2023 than 2022. Why? Well, if we fix our offensive line, it WILL get better. And if we fix our running game, and design and implement an offense that is not solely, 100% dependent upon the passing game, as it was last year, it WILL be better.

Whether Baker Mayfield or Kyle Trask can produce well in such an offense, it remains to be seen. I don’t anticipate either to throw for more passing yards than under TB-12, but if they don’t give the ball away, and do a good job distributing the ball to the playmakers we have, then yeah, our offense will score more than last year’s team.

  18. Who Says Says Can't Say Says:

Agree. 2020 or 2021 Brady would have done way better with the same team than 2022 Brady. Mayfield is probably somewhere in between.

  19. Defense Rules Says:

Just realized that the Bucs have had several QBs who’ve won a Super Bowl: Brady, Johnson, Young, Dilfer, Williams. The last 3 were drafted by the Bucs, but didn’t do much here, went on to other teams & won the Super Bowl with them. Tom Brady & Brad Johnson were both ‘imported’ as veteran QBs (ie, short-term loans) & each stayed with us for basically 3 years, during which time we won a Super Bowl.

MIGHT lead one to conclude that the Bucs aren’t very good at developing QBs. I now feel bad for Kyle Trask, but he’s had lots of company over the years. On re-looking at Brad Johnson, Trask’s the same exact size (6’5″ & 235 lbs) as ‘The Bull’ and has a lot of the same traits it appears. Brad was very ‘functional’ with a decent offense around him & a great defense supporting him. MAYBE that’s what the 2023 Bucs will end up being … again.

  20. Goatfarmer Says:

Trask is a lot more like Mike Glennon than Brad Johnson. The Bull was wicked smart.

  21. Doc Says:

How can that be, when your OC has not call a offense play since JV, and a moody quarterback.

  22. Infomeplease Says:

Last year the Bucs averaged around 18 points per game. That’s really not good!!! Yes the offense will score more points this year. How could they not!!! The question to ask is will the defense be as good as last year?

  23. Ken Kistner Says:

Baker Mayfield has a 1 year deal because the Bucs will be starting Trask and need a veteran backup QB. The Bucs more than likely will draft a tall QB in the 2nd rd but unless Trask is injured Mayfield should Never start. Mayfield is Not the answer to the question “Who will be the Next Great Bucs QB?”

  24. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

Not an upgrade with QBs but an upgrade at Offensive Coordinators.

  25. Ultra ClodHopper Says:

His argument makes sense. The goat wasnt himself last year and who could blame him. He had a lot going against him.

  26. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    I like how he says:

“Because that team’s offensive line was in shambles in a way it won’t be this year.”

    And then blames Brady.

    Idiot.

  27. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

One thing that really bothers me about fans everywhere (not just Tampa). They always judge by one bad year.

I mean, our team was riddled with injuries last year…especially on the offensive line…and somehow, fans think brady should have overcome that and won anyway.

Worse yet…they think he’s no longer good.

Nevermind that if he’d had his starting oline healthy, we would have repeated.

  28. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Ken Kistner Says
“Baker Mayfield has a 1 year deal because the Bucs will be starting Trask and need a veteran backup QB. The Bucs more than likely will draft a tall QB in the 2nd rd but unless Trask is injured Mayfield should Never start. Mayfield is Not the answer to the question “Who will be the Next Great Bucs QB?”

I one hundred percent agree that is the way it should be.

Do I believe it will be that way? Nope. Bowles is not going to risk his job on an untested QB.

  29. Brandon Says:

90% of Brad’s first half throws last season were at or behind the line of scrimmage. Just having a QB that is willing to try to throw downdield will open things up tremendously.

  30. Simeon97 Says:

Blasphemy to say but LAST YEAR tom Brady was only good at avoiding sacks. That’s about it. And of course a couple of nice comebacks. I do not forget.

  31. Buddha Says:

    1. Brady was a shell of himself last year.
    2. All pro left guard retired.
    3. Hall of Fame tight end retired.
    4. Pro Bowl center missed entire regular season.
    5. Left tackle injured in game 1 and never recovered.
    6. Slot receiver not at full strength until late in the season.
    7. Receiver 3 had serious hamstring injury and never got to full strength.
    8. Top running back overweight and played most of season injured.
In terms of Mayfield, he is a competitive player who fell out of grace in Cleveland largely because he played injured. He showed flashes of his old self in LA but his top two receivers were out. We will know what we have by late August. Everything else is conjecture and opinion. If he is the 2020 version, the Buccaneers could be a 10 win team and will win the Division.

  32. HC Grover Says:

Breaking…Mayfield is better than Brady and The Cow jumped over the Moon.

  33. Defense Rules Says:

Buddha … Very insightful analysis; appreciate it & I agree with ya. We could probably find similar reasons for just about any season we’ve played since 1976 however. Retirements are a part of the game. Injuries are a part of the game. Guys playing hurt is also part of the game.

And yet there were a couple different aspects of 2022 that stand out. One of course was Tom Brady, and what he was going through as a starting QB at age 45. Another was the very late transition from Arians to Bowles as HC. Those 2 factors, taken with the retirements & injuries, kinda spelled ‘DOOMED’ even though we ended up winning the NFC South. Neither of those is a factor in 2023.

I agree with you that we COULD end up winning around 10 games this season & possibly win the NFC South (the 3 other teams MAY have something to say about that). The key IMO will be our defense. The offense will almost surely have some growing pains for at least the first half of the season. If our defense also struggles then, we’ll be out of it before mid-season.

Both sides of the ball will be radically different from last year, and certainly from 2020 & 2021 when we kicked arse. How quickly Bowles & Canales can mold the defense & offense into at least Top-16 units will be key. Personally, I’m getting more & more optimistic (although that may be bordering on delusional).

  34. Mike S Says:

Buddha Brady threw for 4700 yards and 25 TDs 9 INTs

For being a shell of himself he ranked top 5 and better than Mayfield’s best season at 3800 yards.

  35. Buccos Says:

I’ve been saying this same thing. Brady had some nice 4th quarter comebacks but why were we always losing in the 4th? Because the offense sucked, including Brady

  36. Mike S Says:

Nick is insane. Mayfield’s numbers last year were abysmal.

  37. Mike S Says:

You give the ball to Trask this year 4000 yards is a guarantee – 4500 yards in possible. I think his TDs and INTs will closely mirror what Brady did last year.

    That’s year 1.

Year 2 – now we’re ready to make a run.

  38. Mike S Says:

Bucs couldn’t finish drives last year – no Gronk & no running game = no red zone efficiency. Under 51% was 25th in the league.

Goat will disappear when Trask gets the ball, but he will lurk and I will not let it go. Looking forward to it goat 🙂

  39. Rod Munch Says:

    LOL!

  40. Tye Says:

    I can see his point…

in nearly ever game you can clearly see Brady fold on his own at the first sign of pressure to avoid contact.. He played scared not wanting to take hits… that had to be some level of distraction from his former years of playing…
Brady wasn’t a threat to run for a few year gain…

Just those 2 differences between the 2 could make Baker more successful than Brady’ last year…

Baker is NOT better than young Brady BUT possibly last year of Brady’s career!

  41. Rod Munch Says:

IM NOT A SHOCK JOCK, IM NOT BEING SHOCKING, IM BEING COMPLETELY REAL AND HONEST WHEN I SAY THE 1976 BUCCANEERS ARE A BETTER TEAM THAN THE 2020 BUCCANEERS! IM NOT SAYING THAT TO GET CLICKS, IM TELLING YOU THAT STEVE SPURRIER WAS THE BETTER NFL QUARTERBACK THAN TOM BRADY, WHO IS NOTHING BUT A SYSTEM QUARTERBACK! THAT 1976 BUCCANEERS TEAM WAS CURSED WITH BAD LUCK – WHICH IS WHY THEY WENT WINLESS, BUT IF YOU PUT THEM, WITH THEIR GRIT AND DETERMINATION, VS THE OVERHYPED 2020 BUCCANEERS, IT’S NOT EVEN CLOSE. IM TELLING YOU GUYS, THIS IS MY REAL OPINION AND IM NOT JUST GIVING OUT A TERRIBLE HOT TAKE TO BE SHOCKING!!!! I ONLY TELL THE TRUTH AND ONLY THOSE WITH TINY BALLS WOULD DISAGREE WITH ME.

  42. Rod Munch Says:

    Tye <- Idiot.

The only thing Mayfield is better at is living a garbage city like Cleveland. Tom wouldn't have stood for something like that.

  43. Mike C Says:

    Wow Rod….. just wow.

  44. Daniel Z Says:

A bit of this is Wright being butthurt about his boy Mahomes getting consistently owned by Brady in the postseason. The rest of it is people just reading the headline and not listening to his actual argument. Our line was terrible/ injured last year, playcalling was predictable and didn’t play to our strengths, and Brady wasn’t 100% – none of those are debatable, so to say we should be better on offense this year isn’t a stretch.

  45. Buc1987 Says:

We’ll see at least we still got Evans and Godwin to throw to whoever ends up being the QB.

  46. Jeff’s grandpa Says:

Little D Nick been a Brady hater forever

  47. larrd Says:

If they can find some linemen the Bucs could very well win the division. I would favor them too, in fact.

Carlton Davis, Jamel Dean, Antoine Winfield, LVD, Vita Vea, and Devin White are all pro bowl or All Pro caliber players. So is Shaq Barrett, if he can come back to his former heights (which I doubt).

They’ve got a couple All Pro caliber wideouts on the other side, too, plus Wirfs, who looks like a HOFer so far.

“Total rebuild” isn’t really what they are doing. They just need about four good linemen.

  48. HC Grover Says:

The pre season over hype is harmless attempt to sell season tix to suckers. The McKay Bucs were more fun to watch than the Bowles Bucs will be. Mayfield. Bwahahaha. By mid season it will be over.

  49. SKBucsFan Says:

It’s pretty safe to predict the offense will be better than 25th. But it won’t be because of Mayfield. It will be because they stay healthy, improve on LT and are more creative. The latter two they have control over.

  50. Redeemer Says:

What a joke. Had baker played with BL as his oc, it would’ve looked a hell of a lot worse. That being said, they have upgraded at oc by simple subtraction. Brady had a historically bad run game and threw into coverage last season more than any QB in the league, by far. Whatever this guy is smoking, I suggest he roll back the dose

  51. Letsbucinggo Says:

Mayfields cocky attitude has cost him three teams in less than a year.

  52. Mike S Says:

BSPN had an article showing #1s who were on 3 teams or more.

    It wasn’t a flattering list.

  53. SlyPirate Says:

    DON’T TOTALLY DISAGREE BECAUSE …

TB12 was distracted. You could see it. The whole team followed his lead. Baker will be locked in and motivated. They will be better offensively than last year.

  54. Buddha Says:

@defense rules thanks for the feedback. I totally agree that the defense has to be better this year. I think the kid from Houston, our first draft was last year, will be much much better. We need a slot safety you can cover and tackle. You may have noticed that during the last half of the season, the Buccaneers hardly ever blitzed. Since we didn’t have a good pass rush that really hurt. I look for Bowles to go back to an attacking defense. To do that he has to get some young speed in the draft. Should be interesting to watch.

  55. Mike Johnson Says:

Nick Wright needs help. Lay off the pipe sir.

  56. Biff Barker Says:

Logan Hall and JTS both are imposters.

BUST. The sooner we accept this the better. I blame Todd.

  57. Goatfarmer Says:

If ever there’s been a face begging to be punched hard, repeatedly, it’s the face of Nick Wright. If not for Brady, Bloweszo would have been 4-13. And Bloweszo personally gave away the Packers game and the Browns game.

It is doubtful Baker is going to score more points than Brady, but he’ll score more points than #2 would, and now Bloweszo can’t hide under the “first year starter” excuse. After finishing 5-12 or whatever, Bloweszo’s new dual career as television clown and car dealership franchise owner can begin in earnest.

That has to be sarcasm. Right? Sorry my detector got fogged out by this one poster who puts me to sleep every time I read a new sequel to War and Peace.

  59. Oneilbuc Says:

Goatformer. The defense was the main reason why we won 9 games last year.

  60. Goatfarmer Says:

O’Neil, math not your strong suit apparently. The Bucs only won 8, so if the defense won 9 then the offense won the square of the square root of a negative number. Nice try though. The Defense sucked out loud against anyone good. If Licht would have locked Bloweszo in a closet, Bucs finish 10-7 and maybe have a chance in the playoff game.

  61. Vancouver Buc Says:

Goat farmer speekum the truth. Nick Wright reminds me of last year’s OLine and HC, embarrassing.

  62. Duane Says:

The bar was set really low by the offensive performance last year. That being said, we havent put ourselves in a favorable position by hiring an OC with no coordinator experience, changing out two more starters on the offensive line, and trading a washed out Goat for Baker Mayfield. Addition by subtraction is so cliche, but the team’s success this season is kinda banking on it. Not a Baker fan, and even less a Trask one, but I will be if these guys can fire the cannons.

  63. Oneilbuc Says:

Goatformer the quarterback was old and washed up after AB and Gronk left he was done. That defense held teams to 20 points or less offense couldn’t score. Ain’t no defense is going to be good when they’re on the field 80 percent of the time.

  64. PNW Buc Says:

Greg Gaines from the Rams just signed.
We’ll like him… good pass rush from the NT spot. He’ll do well next to Vita. Regardless of the QB situation, it’s going to be a fun season, can’t wait!!!

  65. steele Says:

Nick Wright hates Brady. What’s needed is an upgrade from the likes of Nick Wright and other blowhards.

  66. alton d green Says:

I can’t believe some of you guys fell for this. This is very pathetic and cheap marketing trick. Thats when someone starts going down, they will say something totally stupid to get people talking about him. Y’all should recognize this cause we have 2 space cadets in the White that do this every day. Whats really bad is they actually believe they make sense hahahahahahhaahhaha

  67. Goatfarmer Says:

    O’Neil, deselection is cute.

Please name the 9 games the defense won for the Bucs last year, by opponent.

  68. DingleBerry Says:

There isn’t a chance that this team wins more than 4 games next year. The idea that Baker Mayfield is in any way shape or form better than Brady even in his worst year is, simply put, the delusional ravings of a lunatic imbecile.

  69. Brazen Zebra Says:

But, Baker Mayfield is a clown. Google it. He looks so cute in his clown nose and Bozo hairdo. At this point, Mayfield would not even beat out a Ryan Leaf in competition. Trask it is at QB.

  70. Rod Munch Says:

Not that anyone cares, but I watched some highlights, and lowlights of Baker Mayfield last year.

If Baker had a perfectly clean pocket and all day to throw the ball, he did OK, except for all the times he had those things and the ball would still get knocked down by a defensive lineman.

While Baker could, and did, make some throws on the run, for the most part he was off target if he had to move.

Baker is very short for a QB, and that shows up a lot, with a ton of batted balls. Certainly not all his fault, but there’s going to be a ton of balls getting batted down at the line.

Baker also took the ‘easy’ play, at the expense of not making the slightly harder play that would have picked up a lot more yards. I don’t think he’s Derek Carr, and his high INT rates would make you think he’s a gunslinger, but watching him, he repeatedly had guys that looked open downfield, and instead her took the easier throw — and punted. Todd Bowles will probably love that.

Overall, watching the film didn’t change my opinion at all. I hate this pickup. I’d have just rather let Trask play and see what he could do. I do think Baker will be better than last year, but last year he was BY FAR the worst QB as far as QBR goes – so it’s going to be extremely difficult not to be a lot better. But a lot better would still be the worst starting QB in the NFL. Hopefully I’m wrong and he looks amazing and we’re throwing a boat parade next February. LOL! As if.

  71. Goatfarmer Says:

Fortunately Jason Licht, who spends his life evaluating football players with privileged insight from coaches, managers, other players, proprietary film study, knows three things –

    1. What Trask can, and can’t, bring. Two years of daily study, interactions, etc.

    2. Baker made the playoffs, won a game and damn near beat the Chiefs in 2020. If Canales can turn Geno Smith into a star, why not Baker?

    3. This is the most important – Licht has to know that Bloweszo is a D-side version of Dirk Koetter, a coordinator who can’t do the head coach whole enchilada. Jason was stuck with him. So give Bloweszo everything he wishes for within the cap rules to succeed in 2023 (because Bloweszo has watched Trask also he wanted two veterans). LVD. Dean. Probably somehow SMB soon.

And when it all ends up at 4-13 or whatever, Licht can fire Bloweszo and get on with a proper reload, starting with a real head coach instead of a Bloweszo.

Otherwise he’s stuck with Bloweszo for another year at least.

  72. Goatfarmer Says:

This is all part of Licht’s plan to rid himself, the Bucs, and us, of the Bloweszo. And if somehow there’s a winning record at the end, well goodie. Bloweszo might get an extension, as might Mayfield. And #2 will get a brand new clipboard to hold.

  73. Mike S Says:

Rod Munch it is what it is. Mayfield is Manziel 2.0 with a bit better of an arm.

Goat – yes I said it 4K yards – somethin Baker has never done in his career is what Trask will do in his first full season.

  74. Goatfarmer Says:

Mike S – you need to send every poster at JoeBucsFan a couple kilos of whatever hallucinogen you’re ingesting. Nothing else could produce that drastic of an alternative to reality. You’re hope is based on a love interest with a former Gator QB, all of whom have sucked in the NFL.

The Bucs coaches, management, personnel evaluators, all have spent almost every day of the last two years with your boi. They all seem to disagree with your position.

The Joes have seen him. They write content for us on this site every day. Every. Day. They came away with similar opinion as the NFL professionals in the Bucs organization.

Unless you were also present during the cumulative 730+ day evaluatory period, and are the guy holding “the secret” to be unleashed on the league in September, maybe you need to switch back to Big Storm products and lay off the Mexican cactus extract.

  75. Goatfarmer Says:

And O’Neil, still waiting for your chart on how the Bucs defense won them 9 games in an 8 win season, half of which were miracle comebacks by Brady. To be fair, none of those 4 teams Brady came back on were any good on offense at all. The ones that were good at offense, the Bucs defense got smoked for 30+ points per game.

  76. garro Says:

Another in the Asshat “journalist ” club!
Should go to my local pub and spout that crap! Probably need some serious medical attention.

  77. garro Says:

When two idiots get in to a passing contest on here it is mindbowingly hilarious 😂

  78. garro Says:

    Pissing

  79. Oneilbuc Says:

Goatformer. It was 8 games and our defense was the main reason why . If Brady and the offense came back in won games it was because the defense kept them in those games. What happened in the Green Bay game? What happened in the Panthers game when the defense held them 7 points for 3 and half quarters ? Man I can go all day how bad this offense was and games Brady sucked in once AB and Gronk left. Now if Trask has the same type of season if he’s the starter I want to hear the same excuses you gave Brady. If Baker Mayfield is the starter I want to hear the same excuses you gave Brady. And if both quarterbacks suck I will be saying the same thing I said about Brady washed up behind!!

  80. Iron wombat Says:

Joe the national press wrote Trask off the moment he was no longer the lone QB on the roster. Feel free to do the same.

  81. Capt.Tim Says:

    I like Mayfield.
And Brady wasnt great last year.
