“Tom Was Dropping Dimes”

January 1st, 2023

Tom Brady.

Yeah, the Hero of the Day for the Bucs was clearly Mike Evans who had 207 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Absolute stud performance.

But someone had to throw him the ball. And that was old man Tom Brady. His numbers were eye-popping.

Brady completed 34 of 45 passes for a crazy 432 yards. All of his touchdown passes were to Evans.

Brady even added a quarterback sneak in the fourth quarter, which actually turned out to be the winning score.

“Tom was dropping dimes,” Evans said.

Joe has seen comments on this here site thinking Brady is washed and the Bucs need to move on. As JoeBucsFan.com columnist Ira Kaufman would shriek, “Are you nuts?” The only reason the Bucs will host a playoff game in two weeks is because of Brady.

In the immortal words of Raheem Morris, “I will tolerate you until I can replace you.” Joe has no idea if Brady wants to stay behind next season in Tampa Bay. But if he wants to, you damn right Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht should move heaven and earth to keep him.

    Lol

Tom kinda sucked in the first half…..be honest Joe.

But the whole offense came alive in the second half.

  2. Mike Says:

Finally. Thank you Lord! I was wringing my hands when the Panthers were up 21-10 and about to lose hope. But then the Heavens parted and all Bucs prayers were finally answered.

  3. Buc1987 Says:

Brady can remain a Buc for as long as he wants.

    LFG!!!

  4. Mike C Says:

Hell Yeah! You don’t make the same mistake as the Pats!

  5. Couch Fan Says:

Only Jameis’s PomPom Bois would say differently.

  6. McBucky Says:

The problem has never been Tom. It’d be great to have him back another year.

  7. tbbucs3 Says:

Tom finally played up to his standard…..

Where are all the Pats fans who have been hating on ME13 all season??

  8. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    …..and no ….Brady and ME13 aren’t washed

…..I dunno why people are saying this…..

But Tom clearly isn’t the same QB as he was two years ago.

Still…..at Bradys age…..he’s still better than like 80% of the QBs in the league.

  9. david Says:

I heard somewhere that BL said the time is now to be aggressive.… Why was it not until now?
Man, that was fun to watch. They still have some serious issues on the line and hopefully get some people healthy in two weeks.

  10. Tye Says:

I guess if they pull Brady early next week, we will have to watch Gabbert instead of Trask….

  11. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    @ david

Cause clearly Brady had more time in the pocket today…….

But he ain’t gonna have time against the Cowboys defense.

  12. NEfan Says:

Anthem you’re just hater loser. He went 15/19 196 yds and a TD. They would have scored more points if not for the dropped balls.

Anthem, love it keep whining. Brady poured FOSSIL fuel all over One Bucs Place today. ORAL, Oneilsuckyall Lamucus WHERE ARE YOU????

  13. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    @ NEfan

Once again……no one cares about your Brady / Patriots loving posts.

You should go back to the Patriots message boards.

  14. BrianBucs Says:

This game shows what Brady and the Bucs offense are capable of when Bowles takes their handcuffs off.
Maybe Bowles is finally learning to let Brady be Brady

  15. Miller5252 Says:

@Anthem you mean Brady sucked when Evans was dropping balls and Godwin was fumbling? Brady has had some bad series this year, but you tell me who you’re gonna get that’s gonna play better?? Trask?? Brady still balls better than anyone you can pick up next year. A lot of Brady’s 10 missed throws today were on the guys catching them. I swear people forget what it was like before Brady came to town and Americans crotch grabber was the face of the Bucs.

  16. Aceofaerospace Says:

They finally let the dog eat. I’ll say again, play Trask at least half of next game to see what he can do. Sit Brady, Evans and Godwin at a minimum.

  17. Thunder Says:

Anthem , you and dummy TBbucks3IQ should have your own NFL radio show! NOT! 2 dummies

  18. Vincente Says:

It’s not Tom. It’s the defense that has saved this season. They deserve more credit than Tom, he has had some terrible throws this year.

  19. Lamarcus Says:

Idk about the BUCS but I’m moving on looking for my Pat Mahomes/Josh Allen Franchise QB. There’s no future in Brady. Yes he could give 1 good game out of 15….. Which leads to 8-8 it’s a hard no!!!!

Yes we can do this with lesser teams with Brady ..but we get destroyed by the good ones

  20. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    Great

All these bandwagon / Brady fans coming outta the woodwork…..

    LOAD UP THE BUS!!!!!!!!

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  21. orlbucfan Says:

Going to be interesting what this site looks like when Brady is gone this year. I’ll look forward to the fans and non groupies who will be on here.

34/35 432 tds 3 passing TD’s and a rushing TD. I guess the Geritol kicked in.

  23. Tony Says:

    @TheBucsAnthem

Can’t have anymore jump on board. It’s already been a heavy load carrying a bunch of these Boston fans the last couple of years.

  24. Nprbuc Says:

BucsAnthem. You need to watch the games with both eyes open Brady sucked the first half? Go back and look at the throes he made, under pressure. Think you will find some pure drops, wrong routes etc. There were a few intentional dirt balls due to the rush and he had to eat a few because no one was open. You will not see a much better, complete game than what Brady showed today.2 nd half is ALWAYs better for Brady because our suck coaches take the leash off him and allow him to play football. The up tempo is always a thing of beauty, but unfortunately Bowles doesn’t like to use it because we score too many many points and our D gets winded! Plus Byron doesn’t like it because TB calls the plays and they are very light on Lenny up the middle for one yard. Brady was even seen Telly Leftnut to a personnel package he want to put in. Brady went with his own call, that moved the chains. God only knows what this team could put on the board without Leftnut and Bowwles.

  25. Bucsfan13 Says:

I told y’all Brady was holding back for when it matters most. He was saving his body. That’s why you saw the sneaks. He was disgusted with the run game. Even with his injuries, he took the chance

  26. tbbucs3 Says:

Brady played great today….but the reason the Bucs are in the playoffs is because of the defense, NOT Brady

  27. Tony Says:

Some think that Tom is slowing down but I don’t think it’s him. The OL needs to play better & it doesn’t help that they’ve been hurt alot this year, too!

  28. NEfan Says:

Wa wa wa Oral, admit it you don’t know SQUAT about football.

Am I the only one concerned concerned the D let up 347 yds and 3 td’s to Darnold?

  29. JimmyfromNY Says:

Every single year Brady trolls are made to look like fools whether it’s Super Bowls , miraculous comeback or games like today, must wins foaming at the mouth waiting for him to choke. How does his member taste. Lol I’ll love it.

  30. DJB Says:

If you don’t think Brady willed this team to win today, you must have been watching a different game. The Bucs were screwing up left and right, but he refused to let them lose. And can we stop all the talk about Brady’s hurt shoulder and finger. You don’t often see 3 perfectly thrown bombs for touchdowns in a game. We do need better defensive backfield play. Edwards and Winfield had their struggles today. Winfield does have a bad ankle so there is that, but might want to take him out of the slot and put do I dare say Bunting, in his place.
    Awesome game Bucs!!!!!

  31. Thunder Says:

    TBbucks3IQ just keep digging

  32. Thunder Says:

    Jimmy, yep, you are correct!

  33. Tampabaybucfan Says:

We still saw a giant turd laid by the offense in the first half…..thanks to Byron and his wasted 1st down runs….and failure in the red zone….

The reason why Tom was able to throw for 3 TDs is that they were not red zone passes…..

The clincher is when we were behind and had a 3rd down Tom had the balls to launch it downfield to Mike…..>TD

  34. Tony Says:

    @TheBucsAnthem

We don’t need anymore of them jumping on the bandwagon. It’s already been getting pretty heavy carrying a bunch of the Boston fans these last couple of years.

  35. Rod Munch Says:

Who knew that if you threw it down the field, that you’d score more than 12 points a game? Must have been shocking to Leftwich to learn that the downfield pass has been part of football for nearly 100-years.

  36. D-Rok Says:

Game ball goes to O-line today. Fight me.

  37. NEfan Says:

ttsucs, another game closer than it had to be because the D faulted in the 2nd half. That game ended up a little too close for comfort. Whatever happened to sideline prevent and give them the middle to kill the clock? They win despite Bowles & Leftnut.

  38. D-Rok Says:

But I done told ya’ll (thanks, Oneil for the vernacular) – Brady always saves his best for last. Whether that be in his performance (frickin’ stellar today) or his ability to motivate his whole team – and that sums up the legend known as Brady.

What a great team win – they all came to play! In a MUST WIN game, they won.

    Shut up, haters.

  39. Beej Says:

I believe Brady heard the criticisms of “hearing footsteps”, and made a conscious decision to stand in the pocket today and take the hits

  40. steele Says:

Nothing has changed with this game.

This team is still exactly what it is. A poorly coached, problem-riddled zombie team that is capable of being Heartbreak Bucs if and when Brady and/or the defense find a few minutes of franken-life, and if and when the opponent eases up just slightly to allow it late.

Many of us predicted 8-9 or 9-8, and that is where it is. The Heartbreak Bucs are going to be the worst and weirdest team in the playoffs.

The long team problem is that the more of these that Tom cranks out, the less likely OneBuc will do anything to fix the problems that prevent this ugly team from being genuinely cohesive and great.

It is now a habit: suck for most of a game, hope for clock, hope for letup, then pray that duct tape and a desperate flip of a switch gets it done. Repeat over and over.

I bet Brady is loving this, too. The narrative of the miraculous Brady somehow dragging the worst team he has ever led to a Lombardi.

  41. Infomeplease Says:

Rod, when all else fails why not do it what works!!! BL still hasn’t learned this!!

  42. firethecannons Says:

If Brady stays first 2 draft picks should be o-line and beef up on good coaching for
    these guys

  43. Coran Says:

D-rok are you serious? How many sacks did they give up? How many pressures? They FINALLY let Tom make a couple throws and you think that overshadows his or ME13’s performances? Not a chance. Yeah they played a bit better, but still not great. At least not anywhere near what Mike or Tom did. Over 200 yards and 3 TDs, over 400 yards and 4 TDs… way better than the line

  44. alton green Says:

I’m going to assume that all you haters are about 16 yrs old and a spoiled brat. Let me remind all you Beavis and Butheads, their offence made our defense look like fancy boys. Marched down the field like our players weren’t even on the field. Yes sir ree, jimmy joe bob. If Tom stays in Tampa, nahhh ain’t gonna happen. those 2 dildos on the sideline have made his last year in Tampa a living Hell. I would love to read your same comments next year while Tom is at N.O. or the 49s. I’m a career Brady fan and honestly if Tampa was his only choice, I would rather he retired

  45. Old School Bucs Says:

All my losers in the house let me hear you scream and shout!!! Let me hear you scream and shout the House is on fire! Evans wont get 1000. Brady too old. Panthers will win! Let me hear you loud and proud!!!

See you losers in the superbowl!!!!

  46. Tucker Says:

Didn’t think they would win and honestly as the game was going up until the fourth quarter thought I was right so glad to be proven wrong. Go bucs get healthy and make some noise in the playoffs.

  47. The Anomaly Says:

    Tom played well

  48. tbbucs3 Says:

You can thank the defense for allowing us to win games even with atrocious offensive performances against the Rams, Saints, Cowboys and Cardinals.

Without a top 10 defense, the Bucs would have 3 wins with a litteral bottom 5 offense.

  49. Craig Says:

Brady started really slowly, then it just sort of blew up. The Bucs clinched the title for the second consecutive year, a first in Bucs history.

Next week there is no reason for Brady to be put on the field, he got sacked enough today.

Let Trask run it next week. It is the most meaningless game I think I have ever seen, let Brady rest his hand for a week, and make another working game plan, the Cowboys are coming.

  50. mg Says:

Gabbert – Trask summer tryouts ought to be a snooze fest.

  51. unbelievable Says:

Anthem and his 3 fellow troll losers are so desperate to blame Brady for some bizarre, insecure reason.

“He kinda sucked in the first half”… yea totally bro.

Brady was the one dropping and fumbling passes (oh wait that was Evans, Otton and Godwin)

Brady was the one committing holding, cuz he plays left tackle obviously (oh wait no that was Donovan Smith)

Brady was the one getting burned over and over for touchdowns and Long passes (oh wait no that was Winfield and Dean)

    Lol. Morons.

  52. Bobby M. Says:

By far Brady’s worst season with Bucs….still secures a playoff birth and division title. Winston’s best yr never involved either. I know it’s been ugly but as a Buc fan, I’ve seen worse. A playoff birth starts a new season, one that Brady tends to perform well in.

  53. Aceofaerospace Says:

It’s a shame so many can’t just enjoy the moment. We’re in the playoffs and Tom Brady is our quarterback. I promise you no one will take us lightly. If they do, shame on them.

  54. gp Says:

I guess for being a “noodle arm” he did pretty good today, right anthem?
    GTFOH!

  55. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

Defense gave up 24 points and Brady threw for 3 tds and snuck one in and you say the defense won this game. You’re worse than the ones who say Brady wins them all.

  56. NEfan Says:

Grain, he was 15/19 for 196 and 1 td at the half plus dropped balls. Nothing wrong with that half.

  57. D-Rok Says:

Yes, I’m completely serious, Coran. Without good blocking from the O-line, NONE of this would have possible. Those 3 TD passes to Evans required a lot of time to develop – what game did YOU watch?

I aint saying this O-line is good, because they haven’t been. But they were good today, with the season on the line, and that’s all we can ask for as fans: Give our QB enough time to throw, and they did just that.

Brady, Evans, and Godwin played much better today, and that isn’t debatable. But WHY did they play better? Becuz the O-line gave them a fighting chance.

  58. Tony Says:

We know one thing. Donovan Smith definitely won’t be put in the Ring Of Honor.

  59. Kidfloflo Says:

Wonder what Beckles take was on game? Yesterday said Brady was washed and getting old right before our eyes…Ill take that performance, with no rushing attack and a make shift offensive line to boot, every dang week

  60. Bucschamp Says:

Maybe Tom finally at peace with that divorce and cleared his mind. He was on spot most of the time. Guys just dropped it to.

  61. BOAT Says:

The colossal level Brady haters here are a terrible blight against this otherwise great site. The amount of hateful posters here that are totally irrational, completely illogical, and that are full of pure outright blatant raging hatred towards Tom Brady is astonishing.
