If you got a kicker who is automatic inside of 50, you just play to their abilities and don’t ask them to do what they can’t do.
Then again if Leftwich isn’t wasting downs running it up the middle for a 2-yard loss on 1st down, instead of 53 yards, it’s 51 yards, and that literally could have made all the difference in the world on that kick.

Why have we all been parroting and repeating THE SAME EXACT OBVIOUS realities about nonsensical repetitive runs and failure to open up the passing and horrible play calling and coaching, for the last 15 games, and NO ONE in this professional sports organization has raised a finger as an executive to remedy this??? It’s unbelievable. I can’t believe there’s no responsibility to the shareholders, the fans, or anyone else. I never imagined there could be such a lack of responsibility outside of impulsive dolts like Dan Snyder, Jerry Jones, and the late Al Davis. Owners who are weak to their strong emotions. This year’s Buccaneer team is is so poorly managed, it’s shocking. There are two executives (JL and BA) who have not lifted a finger of responsibility to adjust, from the very beginning. The owners have sat back and watched, quietly. These two coaches on the field are absolutely incompetent. I’ve never seen peewee league coaching in the big leagues. I’ve seen college coaches come in and do weird things, but not without being relieved midseason. How is it possible to have such a bizarre coaching game scheme for 15 games by a brand new head coach in a season where there’s a Super Bowl expectation? That part is baffling. Someone needs to make a Monday morning news splash we’ve all been expecting and just say “The organization has decided to relieve Todd Bowles and Byron Leftwich of their duties. We will be moving forward with Clyde Christensen at the helm of our offense, and Bruce Arians will manage things on the field this week in the interim. Next week we will have a new interim head coach as we adjust for a chance at a playoff berth and victory so we can fulfill our potential.”

The biggest takeaway from this game is LET the Bucs Play Buc Ball! How much more proof needs to be put on tape that 1 yd runs on first down is not a recipe for success? Also totally obvious is the need to get rid of Bowles,Leftnut and Armstrong.It would take a full blog to document all the reasons. Holding onto timeouts, kicking a field goal, trying ANOTHER over 50 yd FG from Succup, needing Brady to blow off at least one play call from Leftnut.Bowles can stay as DC but we need a real HC and LC.
