Dak Prescott Has Been Playing Lousy Football

January 10th, 2023

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott.

If this keeps up the Bucs just may pull off the upset.

In his last two games, the $40 million dollar man, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, has sure looked mortal against a couple of non-playoff teams.

In losses to Tennessee and Washington, Prescott threw as many picks as he did touchdowns: three He also threw for only 410 yards combined.

This past Sunday, with a possible NFC East division title on the line, Prescott stunk up FedEx Field in Maryland, only getting the Cowboys into the end zone once as Commandos rookie quarterback Sam Howell torched Dallas.

Last night on “Time to Schein,” popular radio and television sports personality Adam Schein and a cast of characters including former Bucs defensive end Kevin Carter debated who would have a better game when the Bucs host the Cowboys on “Monday Night Football” to kick off the playoffs, Bucs quarterback Tom Brady or Prescott.

Former Steelers and Cardinals corner Bryant McFadden and Carter both said emphatically that Brady will rise up and outduel Prescott.

    Like last year?

  2. FortMyersDave Says:

I like the enthusiasm from Joe. Tampa did draw the one NFC team that looks like it is beatable next week besides Seattle. That being said, the Cowgirls are probably very happy to have drawn the Bucs as opposed to the other division winners. One thing Joe, Dallas did manage to sneak by the Titans, kind of similar to how Tampa ha won some of their games at the last minute. The line of Dallas by 3 indicates that many are not giddy about taking Dallas despite Tampa limping in at 8-9 with the additional handicaps of having Bowels and Leftwich calling the shots while the line is surging for the Niner Seattle game where betters look to be predicting a boat racing by San Fran over the Hawks.

  3. Zwak Says:

I think we beat Dallas. Then we will travel to SF on a short week and that won’t be an easy task!

  4. SufferingSince76 Says:

Unless Bowles and Leftwich change their aggravating ways, the Bucs will not win. A half yard and a cloud of dust has failed repeatedly, yet they keep doing it over and over yielding the same result.

  5. Darin Says:

Zwak don’t read too much into the rest thing. Bowles ran into the guards’ butts most of the year so his team would be rested for the playoffs, so he said. Now we are to believe they can flip a switch. Good luck with that coach.

  6. Beej Says:

Well. We COULD have beat the Falco of we wanted to, THEN we’d be a 9-8 team

  7. Nate Says:

And yet they have a way better record then the bucs

  8. DungyDance Says:

Dak may adjust, but previously he’s had problems with his progressions. Starts with his eyes in the wrong place, and stares down his targets. Again, maybe he corrects for this, but we should be prepared to capitalize.

  9. Craig Says:

He’s QBs in streaks, shows flashes of greatness and buries it.

There is no way to know which Cowboys team will show up. They did win 12 games, so they have been better this season, but they almost always seem to be a one and out come playoff time.

They might not hold up because it is Monday Night, and the Boys always show up for Monday night games.

It is a toss up to me, so I will just wait to watch it, cheer on the Bucs if there is anything cheer worthy.

  10. Goatfarmer Says:

Wait until Todd Blowes overthinks his gameplan and outsmarts himself and his players one last time. Even Dak can hit a WR running wide open because of a coverage bust, because Blowes doesn’t make sure his players know their assignments. He just assumes. And you know what that makes everybody.

  11. THOMAS PFALZ Says:

To be honest between Prescott, L. Jackson, K Murray & R Wilson, I wouldn’t want any of them.

  12. BucsfanFred Says:

    @Thomas: I agree 100%. I wouldn’t want any of them either.
Dak and Lamar sometimes dazzle with brilliance, but in the playoffs they baffle with bullsheet.

  13. Eric b Says:

We can beat dallas…we can beat any team if we open up or offense i dont want to play SF thoigh but we have UNFINISHED BUISSNESS LFGO!!!!!
