Broncos Get Permission To Meet With Sean Payton Who Earlier Danced When Asked About Tom Brady

January 8th, 2023

Will Tom Brady follow?

Are soon-to-be free agent quarterback Tom Brady and semi-retired slimy Saints coach Sean Payton a package deal for some NFL team that needs a coach and a QB?

As the great Moe Howard would say, “We shall see.”

Payton, the former Super Bowl-winning coach of the slimy Saints and big cheese at Eastern Illinois University, hopped on Peter Schrager’s podcast in the past week. Schrager, of course, is the closet Bucs fan who co-hosts “Good Morning Football” on NFL Network and moonlights weekends on FOX Sports.

There, Schrager wasted no time. He asked Payton straight up whether he and Brady are a package deal. Earlier this year, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross was suspended by the NFL for tampering with Payton and Brady trying to lure them to Miami for the 2022 season.

Brady and Payton are repped by the same suit, famed super agent Don Yee.

So in answering Schrager’s question, Payton began to say “no” but quickly danced for about 90 seconds before he said the best chance of Payton and Brady linking up for the same employer would be with FOX.

Since stepping away from coaching, Payton has worked for FOX Sports. Brady signed a deal to be the lead FOX game analyst whenever he steps away from the game.

So could Payton and Brady unite in Denver to save the Broncos? New Broncos owner Rob Walton, heir to the Walmart chain, is currently the richest owner in the NFL. He obtained permission from the slimy Saints to meet with Payton.

(Yeah, sure, Russell Wilson just signed a new deal with the Broncos. That’s chicken feed for Walton.)

Imagine what kind of stock portfolio that could be waiting for those two if they decide to move to the Rockies.

You can see Payton dance with Schrager below.

Payton returning the size of Andy Reid.

  2. Miller5252 Says:

Blah blah blah. Payton just rambled for 90 seconds and didn’t say anything. It would be a damn sad day if Brady leaves to go with Payton and we keep Bowles. The ole Glazers better be prepared to do whatever Brady wants to keep in Tampa.

  3. Crickett Baker Says:

I don’t know why but I feel Brady will retire or re-sign with the Bucs. There is no reason for him to leave us unless he hangs it up and I have no feelings about that scenario.

  4. Coburn Says:

Pretty sure Broncos have no choice but to stick with Wilson. Too mucu cap money. Good luck getting someone to take all that on. Couldn’t afford to release him

  5. Bucs since 76 Says:

If Brady plays next year it will be 49ers or Bucs. Why would go to Denver or Miami they play in division that would be harder to win and it’s a lot easier to get to Super Bowl out of the NFC. I think he will retire and work for FOX. Sean Peyton does coach again it will be a team with young stud QB like the Chargers.

  6. NEfan Says:

I don’t understand why some of you believe Brady would prefer the challenge of playing against the best in the league. This is not a guy satisfied by limping into the playoffs with 9-8 or 8-9 record. Allen and Hebert have never beaten him and he beats Mahomes when it counts most.

  7. DungyDance Says:

Payton not going to Denver. Wilson is washed. Payton is just signaling to other teams (cough-Miami-cough) that he’s available and not to take his star power for granted.

  8. Buc50 Says:

It may be chicken feed for the Waltons but that’s why there is a salary cap. Denver has a huge albatross named Wilson right now.

All this talk about Brady going here or going there is ??????
1st; there is NO WAY Tom will return to Tampa unless Todd is gone OR Todd and Lefty just get out out of the freaqk’n way. Tom

2nd; Tom WILL NOT go to a team that has little chance of making the SB. OH WAIT A MINUTE he already did that 3 yrs ago hahahaha

3; in the snowball’s chance in Hell he stays in Tampa, he should have a clause(not Santa), in his contract that he can leave if Todd gives him the old “bait and switch” by Todd AND lefty

  10. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    If he plays, he stays.

  11. HC Grover Says:

They get Payton and Brady, we get Bowzo and Lefty. Uggfggh.

  12. FrontFour Says:

Why would Brady come back to Tampa with this roster. The running joke on this site is that we have all this talent. Just ain’t so and will be worse next season whoever the coaches are. And we don’t cap space to make it better. The rebuild starts in a few weeks. Let’s enjoy what we’ve got.

  13. Ben Harvey Says:

Surprised to see sp much hate on a Bucs fan site. First this team has talent but a few holes they need to address on o line and d line to give this team a chance next year. Second, Tom might stay but I think that hinges on getting rid of either Leftwich or both Leftwich and Bowles. Possibly a new offensive coordinator could be enough to keep Tom, the defense has been great.
Third I think if he goes anywhere it’ll be Miami. Rumors swirling about McDaniels being canned. I dont see him going to the west coast when his kids are in Miami.

  14. Tim Says:

It’s a good thing Payton is a good coach cuz he’s brutal as a TV personality.

  15. gbobucsfan Says:

    smokescreen

  16. NEfan Says:

Wasn’t this guy Russel Wilson a QB many on this site was panning for? There’s a guy that fell off a cliff. His wife is hot and he’s loaded, he has his own office and parking space so he ain’t doing that bad.

  17. BA’s Red Pen Says:

The big cheese at Eastern Illinois is equivalent to a craft single.

  18. HA-HA-HA Says:

Sing it, “Brady and the Jets”.

  19. Reggie Jax Says:

Brady’s a Buc! Stop the nonsense!

  20. Tye Says:

The Bucs SURELY don’t need Russell Wilson….
He lost it his last season in Seattle… Proving He is a washed up this season!

  21. Goatfarmer Says:

    Hire him, Denver.

No way TB is going to Denver. Zero. Chance.

  22. xdptoddx Says:

I just don’t know if I see Peyton going to Denver. Unless I’m missing something it doesn’t look like a good job. Wilson might not be as bad next year but it’s not going to be awesome, and they have no draft capital. Seems like this is just a way to drive his price up with other times, perhaps Arizona? I don’t have any insight, and maybe Denver really is a great spot for people way smarter than me about football. I think I would be shocked though.

  23. garro Says:

Brady needs some advice on hangin with low character people like POS Peyton. come on Tom… you are batter than that!
