“They Have A Chance”

December 9th, 2022

Injury and status updates.

Well, Joe thinks this is sort of good news.

Today after practice before the Bucs made their way to San Jose, Bucs coach Todd Bowles had an update of sorts for his banged-up secondary.

Mike Edwards (hamstring), Sean Murphy-Bunting (quad) and Antoine Winfield (ankle) will be gametime decisions. Bowles said the only player ruled out is Tristan Wirfs.

“The three DBs are getting better,” Bowles said. “We’ll see how they feel Sunday morning.

“They have a chance.”

Edwards and Winfield are listed as doubtful. SMB is “questionable, along with Akiem Hicks and Playoff Lenny, both with foot injuries.

For the 49ers, terrorizing right defensive end Nick Bosa is listed as questionable.

I have a feeling this game will go exactly like the Seattle game where we play very well and get a win but still make enough boneheaded plays to keep them in in. I just feel like this team is going to sweep the NFC West but get swept by the AFA North.

anyways this game is important and I feel good about it. They have already proven they can play on the road in far locations.

    23-16 Bucs.
Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Ko Kieft all with TDs
    Brady 278 yds 3tds 0 ints 25/42 CMP.

Tampas Defense will get 3 turnovers.

  2. mg Says:

Bowles should be listed as questionable.

  3. Manny Says:

Im thinking about pulling a jesse pinkman and callung leftwich and telling him his wife was in a terrible accident and is in the icu and he gets there and shes home safe. All that to get him to miss the game.

  4. Redeemer Says:

If bosa plays, they better have a plan. Dude is a wrecking machine. I have very little hope for a win. It’ll all be on Brady. Bucs have the worst rushing attack, and SF has the best run defense in the league. Like GF said before, Pound that under if you wanna make some cash.

  5. sasquatch Says:

    Bowles is doubtful.

  6. sasquatch Says:

The Bucs are going to lay another turd, courtesy of BowlesWich.

  7. SufferingSince76 Says:

    Hicks out again? Criminy.

  8. Darin Says:

    MG. Lol. good one.
He’s questionable at best right now. If Leftwich was listed as “out” I’d be excited to watch

  9. JeffreyLane77 Says:

    “mg” 😃😄😁😆😅🤣

  10. TexasBucsFan Says:

Bucs will not win, offensive coordinator & head coach will ensure loss.

  11. TheBucsAnthem Says:

Only perfect coaching would even allow the Bucs to be competitive this Sunday against a vastly superior team.

But sadly……we currently have a dysfunctional Head Coach Offensive Coordinator that have ruined this team the whole season.

Come this Sunday…….after the Bucs lose this game, all of you delusional Bucs fans will come back down to Earth from that Ridiculous win against the Saints.

    These Bucs are still awful.

  12. Vlad The Impaler Says:

    So you’re tellin’ me there’s a chance!

  13. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    ^^^^^^^

    “Dumb & Dumber”

…..now where is Mary Swanson at????🤣🤣🤣🤣

  14. The Beer Whisperer Says:

    Which Bucs show up?

We’ve seen the good Bucs, and the bad Bucs.

  15. Redeemer Says:

Their facing a rookie QB, so I expect Bowles to throw the kitchen sink at the kid. Only path is getting a couple turnovers and scoring TDs, not field goals. As upside down as the league has been this year, who the hell knows.

  16. Bucsfan13 Says:

We have ZERO chance of winning. This offense will score ZERO points. The 49ers defense is too good and our offense is so bad, but it will be more because the 49ers defense is dominant on every level. I think Shanahan will find a way to make it work with Purdy. He’s an offensive genius. The headline coming out of this game will be Mr. Irrelevant beat the GOAT. it will totally unfair to Brady because his level of difficulty is much greater than Purdy’s.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when people say it’s QBX vs QBZ. None of those QBs are playing against each other. They’re playing the defense of their opponents. And in this matchup, Purdy has a big advantage

  17. D-Rok Says:

NFL Live reported today that Bosa hasn’t practiced all week with a hammy injury. Several on the show felt he would not play. Let’s hope that’s the case, LOL. Not for his injury, only that he doesn’t play.

If Bosa is out, and our CB’s return, yeah, we might have a chance. But man, that defense of the Niners! Our O-line better have the best game of the year for us to have a slim chance…to tie.

    Still, GO BUCS!!!

  18. D-Rok Says:

    Beer,

If the best of the good Bucs show up, it’s still an even match, and either team could win.

2 good defenses in this game, could be a 3-6 snoozefest or to everyone’s surprise, a 41-36 game.

I don’t have much of a gut feeling about this one, to be honest. No idea who will win, but if I’m being honest, the Niners are the better team, even if the Bucs play good-great.

    Rooting for our Bucs though!!!

  19. Outsider Says:

Lol snooze fest . The niners offense is a whole lot better than the Bucs’ I’ll tell you that. I think Brady is going to get Mauled.

  20. The Beer Whisperer Says:

Hey D-Rok, I’m like you, I just the hope “Good Bucs” show up and win.

If I pick or say anything, it will certainly go the other way.
I’ll just keep my mouth shut, lol

  21. D-Rok Says:

Well, Beer, just wear your lucky Bucs jersey when game is on. And then when things don’t go the Bucs way, take it off in disgust. And when they start playing good, put it back on real quick.

You know, like any other normal superstitious fan. LOL.

  22. Bucanero Says:

Bucs need Winfield and Hicks on the field. Edwards would be sweet too if he can bring his feel for the ball and get Brady the ball at least one time. I feel like Bucs will get the upset, but I always think the Bucs are going to win. A win in San Francisco may have playoffs consequences. We may get the 3rd seat. It matters.

  23. SB Says:

I sincerely hope that all of you ‘fans’ that say we Will Not win etc. etc. Don’t come back if we win.

  24. D-Rok Says:

    SB,

Win, lose, draw – I’m a ride-or-die kinda guy. I’ll be back either way.

    GO BUCS!!!

  25. Mike Says:

I really want to believe the Bucs have a chance. Please Bucs, show us something!

  26. Anonymous Says:

Sure would help if Winfield is healthy.

If you just go by stats, it’s real simple. San Fran will run the ball all over the Buccaneers. They need to play 8 in the box and go all out for the run.
On offense they need to pass, pass and pass some more because they’re not going to be able to run it on San Fran.

I have faith in Bowles with the defense. The question is will the offense finally realize they’re not a running team?

  27. sasquatch Says:

I DO NOT want the Bucs to have a chance. This is a crap team and we’re not going anywhere with BowlesWich. The more losses they can tally, the better chance they clean house in the offseason, which is 100% necessary.

  28. ScottyMack Says:

The only hope I have for the Bucs is the fact that the 49ers have lost to the Bears, the Falcons and the Broncos this year. In other words, anything is possible!

  29. Deeez NATZ Says:

The only way we win is if tombo completely ignores Boron…Toilet bowels butthole

  30. alton d green Says:

in my 60 years of watching , I can’t EVER recall a team that has so many injuries. It has truly gotten out of hand. it HAS TO BE lack of training. The freaking secondary is like a wet noodle. The niners will eat them alive. (even without the injuries) haha

  31. alton d green Says:

    PLEASE prove me wrong

  32. steele Says:

Weather is forecasted to be rainy and sloppy, especially in the second half. Which will put the onus on the running game, run defense, and/or lack of both. Wet weather also becomes a factor that can disrupt any last gasp Brady heroics. 49ers have clear advantage, with Brock the C ock the obvious wild card.

  33. D-Rok Says:

    Bro sasquatch,

Worry about tomorrow when tomorrow comes. For now, just root for our team. All we can control is today; indeed, tomorrow has enough worries of its own, which we can’t control today.

  34. AmauryGuzman Says:

If they want any chance at a 3rd seed they have to win this game on sunday otherwise it will likely be a 4th seed but still in a battle for the division.

  35. Goatfarmer Says:

    Bowelswuch ni Chance

  36. Tap-Out Says:

Some not all of these so called “fans” need to switch teams …you would still be a fan!

  37. Reach87 Says:

Fake fans predicting and even hoping for a loss. Happened in the SB year too. Sad. Go Bucs!

  38. 1sparkybuc Says:

The coaches are our biggest liability. I’d be more optimistic if the coaching staff missed the plane.

  39. NEfan Says:

Tap-Out, if Brady left I would miss watching Evan’s, LVD, Winfield, Jensen & White & Otton but their careers would just be wasted away. I would miss watching these players but I would easily get over it and adapt to Brady’s next landing spot. It’s getting hard to watch this team with this coaching staff even with the GOAT on it.

  40. Buc king Says:

I honestly don’t think as high of the 49ers as you all do in the comments.
Their offense is run heavy yawn…
That defense is not the best or close the best I ever seen…
But Brady is the best ever so he should be able to make the plays needed.
Now it all boils down to the defense that we play..
Do we get sting or can we finally get some turnovers.
