Logan Ryan Ready For An Air Raid

December 18th, 2022

Anti-aircraft defense.

Joe spoke to veteran Bucs defensive back Logan Ryan last week about the Bengals’ pass game. Though receivers Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins are questionable, the Bengals’ main arse-kicker, Ja’Marr Chase, is healthy.

Ryan left no doubt with Joe that playing the Bengals will be all about stopping Joe Burrow and the passing attack.

“I don’t know if they are going to all play because of injuries,” Ryan said. “But those guys are proven. I covered them a lot, though I haven’t played against Ja’Marr Chase yet.

“I played against a lot of them and they have all been that-guy at some point in their career.”

The key element, Ryan said, is Burrow has full faith in his receivers.

“I think Joe [Burrow] trusts all three of them to go up and get the ball in one-on-one matchups,” Ryan said. “Some games are more about the run game.

“I think this game is going to be about the passing game, which puts more pressure on us in the back end which we look forward to the matchup.”

Ryan admitted he’s keyed up with the challenge of trying to slow one of the best passing attacks in the NFL

“One hundred percent,” Ryan said. “When a coach in the meetings is talking about the passing, you know as a secondary he is talking to you.”

The way the Bengals’ offense is playing, and how lethal both Joe Cool and Chase are, this will likely be the Bucs’ biggest test since facing Pat Mahomes and the Chiefs.

This is too funny and yet sad. How many times in the past have the Bucs went up against or the opposing team finds themselves one dimensional mid-game/DEVASTATED by injuries (PIT loss)/or worse get our arses kicked by a rookie (NY; 2019 the Danny Dimes disaster)or a back-up CFL/USFL/AAF/XFL QB twice in two years (CAR 2022, WSH 2021) and we still get the crap beat out of us. What’s the usual finger-pointing stunt our defense does when they get shredded? (I wish I could insert the spiderman meme here)

For the love of God we just got curb stomped out of the club by a teenage dream for crying out loud?! LOL

I cannot believe we won a friggin superbowl with basically this same team 2 years ago. Bruce Arians was truly covering up some stink the past 3 years. Jeez.

Sometimes negativity promotes itself. Why throw out the baby with the bathwater? Maybe this time the Bucs will play great! If not, at least we won’t be disappointed since it is what it seems most all expect. GO BUCS!

So far this season, it seemed that our secondary played noticeably better when Logan was in the lineup. That trend was shattered last week. Hopefully it picks back up today.

How can anybody say this is basically the same team as the the Super Bowl team. No Hall of Fame tight end. No Pro Bowl left guard. No Pro Bowl Center. No lPro Bowl pass rusher. A Pro Bowl safety missing 4 games. This roster is average and so is the record. The Packers were also way overrated. The Bengals aren’t world beaters either. They play in a division that doesn’t score many points.

Same as 2020? They need to put Gronk Suh JPP AB Whitehead Marpet and Jensen in the game then. Can’t believe Todd won’t play these guys.
