Cameron Jordan Explains Why Bucs Haven’t Reverted Back To Their Lost Decade Ways

December 5th, 2022

Hated Saints DE Cameron Jordan.

Hated Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan has witnessed many miserable Bucs teams since he was drafted by New Orleans in 2011 — after Tampa Bay picked DE Adrian Clayborn in the same draft.

Seven Pro Bowls and 112 1/2 sacks later, Jordan has become an expert in harassing the Bucs, from publicly making fun of Donovan Smith to working over Tristan Wirfs last season and just being an easy guy to despise.

Jordan was talking last week about tonight’s Bucs-Saints game and actually ranted about how even though the entire NFC South is playing bad football, the Bucs can’t be discounted because the franchise has been overhauled.

He cited some of the hard-nosed and physical offensive talent like Chris Godwin and Leonard Fournette, but he tied it all back to the will of Tom Brady and his daily fire to win.

“They’re not Tampa Bay from the last 12 years prior to Tom Brady getting there. They’re TOMpa Brady now, you know, so it is what it is,” Jordan concluded.

The Brady factor Jordan references is what makes it so hard to believe the Bucs won’t make the playoffs in a season in which going 8-9 will be good enough to win the NFC South.

Sadly, the Bucs have been an average team all season. But Joe sees no reason to believe the Bucs will further decline as compared to their remaining opponents. Joe supposes it’s possible that bad coaching could take the team to even deeper depths.

i think you have Jordan and Clayborn mixed up in this article

“Seven Pro Bowls and 112 1/2 sacks later, Clayborn has become an expert in harassing the Bucs” ? and then “Clayborn was talking last week about tonight’s Bucs-Saints game and actually ranted about how even though the entire NFC South is playing bad football, the Bucs can’t be discounted because the franchise has been overhauled” – clayborn said that?

  12. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

One reason the Saints give us so many problems is, they are able to bring the heat with only 4 people.
Not only do they have talented people in their secondary, but their 4 man rush assures there are plenty of them to blanket our receivers.
Say what you want, but Antonio Brown was able to get open against this kind of coverage.
So was Mike Evans, until the NFL got wise to him pushing off all the time.
The referees are watching him like a Hawk, ready to call him for offensive pass interference.
But Mike Evans will often come down with the ball, even when he is covered.
For some reason, Brady has not seemed to trust Mike to make contested catches.
Johnny Manziel made a trip to the NFL because of Mike Evans.

WE do not have Tristan Wirfs tonight, so we can expect Brady to be pressured often.
Hopefully Racheed White will provide a safety valve for Brady under pressure, and burn the Saints with his speed ?
But knowing these coaches, they will probably start Fournette who does not have the speed or the sure hands White does.

Dewey Selman, all weeders know not to smoke before noon on a Monday. Besides, you better make sure you have enough for tonight. I’m afraid there might be a big cloud of smoke over Tampa Bay.

Jordan had to say nice things before the game. He didn’t want any bulletin board material for the Bucs. He will say something truthful after the game. Like we kicked their butts cause the head coach sucks.
