Leonard Fournette Out For Browns Game

November 26th, 2022

Activated.

Rachaad White, it’s your ball.

Per Adam Schefter of BSPN, the Bucs have downgraded Playoff Lenny for tomorrow’s game at Cleveland. Playoff Lenny suffered a hip pointer in the win over Seattle and will not play.

So this means there is a good chance White, a rookie coming off his best NFL game in Munich, will get the bulk of the carries tomorrow. As a result, the Bucs activated Giovani Bernard from injured reserve, a move Bucs coach Todd Bowles pretty much predicted if Playoff Lenny could not go.

Linebacker Ulysses Gilbert also has been promoted to the active roster.

Could be a big day for White. I’m interested to see how he does with lots of carries. Hopefully they stick with the run tomorrow.

  2. Jmarkbuc Says:

Be interesting to see what we’ve got beyond Lenny.

What’s the timeline for a sprained ego?

  3. Anonymous Says:

    Protect the football !

  4. Smashsquatch Says:

Bravo Bowles, sit the vets when they get dinged. Play fresh legs. They’re all pros for a reason.

  5. Cobraboy Says:

I had a hip pointer in college. It’s like someone jabbing an ice pick down to the pelvis every time you moved.

    No fun at all.

  6. SB Says:

I want to see large doses of White and Vaughn tomorrow!

  7. The Beer Whisperer Says:

Bucs going to their RB Bull-Pen. I think it’s good, they’ve been marinating Gio in the hot-tub till he’s needed.

Poor ol’ Gio, his joints are worn out, from playing on that cheap turf in Cincinnati.

  8. The Beer Whisperer Says:

The turf at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, rated one notch above indoor/outdoor carpet, and spray painted green, lol

  9. brooks Says:

    Lenny is done

  10. Goatfarmer Says:

Kenny’s been playing names since the 4th quarter of the Cows game.

Good to get him some rest.

  11. richbucsfan Says:

Hmmmm, Beer Whisperer, I think we’re playing in Cleveland not Cincinnati.

  12. David Says:

    Get healthy!
    And get his head right!

    He will be needed

  13. Jerseybuc Says:

I am good with Lenny missing. I want to see white carry the whole game he’s going to have big day!! Get healthy Lenny n no pouting cuz white is going over a hundo tomorrow

  14. Dewey Selmon Says:

Sounds concerning due to we didn’t even play last week. Extra week off for treatment didn’t work. Unless this is to hand the baton off to White and use the injury to avoid media drama.

  15. steele Says:

I am no fan of Rachaad “mini slow mo Lenny”, but at this point, I am for anyone with even a little more explosiveness taking over. Put them all out there, please. Rachaad, Ke, Gio.

  16. SB~LV Says:

Snoop is going to bust out on the NFL tomorrow!

  17. captivajim Says:

I guess Gio exhausted his Medicare Benefits……

  18. Buccos Says:

    R. Wire stated in the preseason that he was planning on being a starter this year and voila he is. The man had a plan and he refused to think of himself as a backup. Now he has the opportunity to showcase his skills for everyone to see. He definitely reminds me of a young Le’Veon Bell.

    White

  20. Purple Knight 74 Says:

Let’s face the fact that the Bucs are truly a passing team. There is no O line, no commitment to the run and there is no threat that Brady is going to run the ball. They throw the ball 50 times. There is no creativity or motion in the running game; just lip service.
Just remember, there probably would be no Superbowl rings for everybody if Lombardi Lenny did not boost the Bucs through the playoffs and Superbowl wins.

lol@ whats the time for a sprained ego? Lolololol….Screw Lenny I hope they dump his slow lsu azz.

  22. Deeez NATZ Says:

Whites going to break one today.I can feel it !Something Lenny has not done all year.Lenny likes to tip toe into his own linemans back,YOU SUCK LSU LENNY!

  23. David Says:

Steele…. White is not slow. Big difference between smooth and patient and slow. He’s actually explosive when he hits the hole. Lenny on the other hand takes five steps when he only needs 2, it doesn’t seem to get very far.
He’s not very explosive at the hole, he’s not as patient, he doesn’t seem to have as good of vision, and he never seems to try avoid a tackle, he’s always trying to initiate contact, costing him a lot of yards.
From what I’ve seen, I’ll take a White the rest of the season.
That said they need them both, so I hope Lenny gets healthy.

  24. Brandon Says:

Purple Knight… you serious? Jones was our best RB that season and it wasn’t even close. He averaged nearly 1.5 ypc more than Fournette for a reason. Funny how you can try to give credit to Fournette for our defense’s dominant performance in a game that Jones was statistically just as effective and in a season that he was statistically far superior. Lenny played much better down the stretch that season but the problems with his lack of agility, bad balance, zero explosiveness, and legs going dead on contact never left him for long. He’s a below average NFL runner and always has been. Check out what his replacement (an undrafted rookie free agent) did in 2020. He far outperformed overrated Lenny.

  25. Jonny Says:

Lenny’s only value to the team is as a pass catcher out of the backfield and a pass protector. The run blocking needs to be A++ consistently for Lenny to be able to do anything at all. There is not one skill he possesses as a pure runner that make him even an average RB. Bucs were the only team to show any interest in Lenny in two consecutive free agencies. We weirdly overpaid him as if he’d sign with someone else if we didn’t.
