Julio Jones Is Ready For Sunday

November 11th, 2022

It’s always news — and good news — when Julio Jones is ready to play.

After to full practices on Thursday and Friday, Julio is not listed as questionable or doubtful on today’s final injury report before Sunday morning’s game in Germany.

Julio is good to go. And the Bucs may need him desperately as Mike Evans has been “limited” all week in practice with ankle and rib injuries.

Head coach Todd Bowles said today that Cameron Brate (neck) will be a gametime decision. Brate practiced all week and if he returns, it would be his first action since the injury on Oct. 16 in Pittsburgh.

On defense, the big news, as Joe previously shared, is Pro Bowl safety Antoine Winfield coming back from his concussion. He should make a huge difference, hopefully breaking the Bucs’ record five-game streak of no forced turnovers.

He’ll be out with a hamstring after the 1st drive

  2. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Looking forward to Julio’s 3 snaps on Sunday before he limps off the field.

  3. Jeff Says:

Lol! Give him a beer and bratwurst, he’s ready to watch the game!

  4. D-Rok Says:

I would love to see him match Metcalf catch for catch, TD for TD. Prolly aint gonna happen, but can’t a fan ever have nice things?

Great news on Winfield. He’s a stud and we need all hands on deck for this game.

The Bucs NEED to show the world that they are a good, competent team, not this inferior product they’ve put on tape these past few weeks, sans that last drive against the Rams. Show us MORE of that last drive, please Bucs!

    GO BUCS!!!

  5. D-Rok Says:

D-Rok is ready for Sunday, too. I’ll be day-drinking by 8am, ha ha.

  6. Goatfarmer Says:

    Wholio. Yawn.

    Bowelswich. Vomit.

  7. BucsfanFred Says:

Place yet bets folks! Bet on which quarter Whoolio will collapse in. 1000 to 1 odds if he finishes the game.

On the other hand, GREAT news about Antoine!!!

  8. LakelandSteve Says:

Let’s hope that Julio comes up big and can play a whole game. When I saw Evans walking down the steps of the plane when it landed in Munich he didn’t look real comfortable. Maybe he will be ready by Sunday.

  9. captivajim Says:

he’ll pull up lame before half time……

  10. catcard202 Says:

Wonder what the Vegas odds are for # of snaps Julio has before re-injuring himself/limping off field??? over/under 5?

  11. The Beer Whisperer Says:

I can sympathise with Julio. I can hurt my hamstring, just getting off the couch too quickly.

  12. Jerseybuc Says:

I like brate but it’s ottons job to lose at this time

  13. John Says:

Bucs should never have signed him. He is always hurt and hardly ever at 100%.

  14. Coburn Says:

Agree jersey. Was a fave of mine but hasn’t quite looked the same since hip surgery a few years ago and getting banged up now. Ease him back in a bit and let otton take majority of snaps with some kieft in there

  15. Vance Says:

After his 3rd rep he’ll be riding pine with some sort of injury.
Wonder if Vegas has any odds fir this?

  16. Jack Sparrow Says:

Wholia, the $6,000,000 receiver who gets trip by a grass clippings and gets injured…. pathetic!

  17. Beej Says:

This will maybe be the first game this year we have a chance for an actual offensive explosion. It could happen!

  18. CChead Says:

If the Bucs are relying on Julio to be a difference maker. Then chalk this game up as a loss.

  19. Redeemer Says:

I didn’t mind taking a flyer on Julio. Counting on him to be a significant part of the offense however was never realistic. Anything he gives you at this point is gravy.

  20. Teflon Don Says:

Damn why y’all mad at Julio? Lol give the man a break he’s been playing at a high level for years! He used to kill us by himself! Taking a beating week in and week out from your teens to now 30s!! Let’s be real y’all were you really expecting 2018 Julio?

  21. Alanbucsfan Says:

Put Leftwich in the press box with a plate of brats and Bucs will win.

  22. BucU Says:

Evans is hurting bad. The ankle and now the ribs are injured. That’s not good for us. That’s gonna be a big issue Sunday. Julio and CG have to step up.
Did Gage even make the trip? What a bitter dissapointment he’s been.

  23. brooks Says:

Waste of money like buying a YUGO when we could.have got a corvette

  24. Redeemer Says:

Teflon, yes quite a few here though we were getting 2018 Julio, including the proprietors of this site. Once the legs are shot, it’s over. It’s effectively been over for Julio for two plus years now.

  25. gotbbucs Says:

Terrific. How many plays will we waste trying to force the ball to him on Sunday?

At some point they have to move past this decrepit group of tag alongs and turn the young guys loose. Julio brings nothing to the table anymore. Breshad Perriman is an absolute waste of an active roster spot. Brate is breaking down physically.

  26. Brazen Zebra Says:

Last chance for Julio. If he doesn’t produce, cut him on Monday. Make room for Gronk.

  27. Colonel Angus Says:

Hopefully we are finally getting somewhat healthy. Time to go on a run.

  28. PassingThru Says:

    Excellent, Julio is back!

    Get the walker ready.

  29. Don’t listen to what he Says:

    Great

Don’t run a jet sweep to him Flatbrim Byron

Have him run actual routes and find space or draw coverage

  30. David Says:

We’ll see if he can do more than 2 routes without hobbling off. Sorry but absolutely no faith in him from what we’ve seen.
We were told all training camp how great he looked… sure

  31. Bojim Says:

I’ll be pulling for the Bucs.

  32. neckbone Says:

Please don’t call his number for an end-around or reverse.

  33. Pelsbuc61 Says:

He’ll tear an acl, pcl and mcl during warmups.

  34. FrontFour Says:

I’ll believe it when I see it.

  35. adam from ny Says:

    meanwhile on the long flight:

byro left-twitch sat in deep though thinking:

should this weeks end around got to jay-lo darden or julio “jean michel basquiat’ jones…

    decisions, decisions, decisions

  36. Browsing from DC Says:

Hopefully Evans can go and Julio can stay in the game. Winfield coming back is huge.

I think Geno Smih is due for a bad game. If we can continue to improve getting pressure on QBs and keep him from using his legs, I don’t see him keeping up his crazy high completion %.

These guys get a lot of hype from the media but who have they beaten?

Loss to Steelers (before TJ Watt was injured but still)
    Loss to Bears
    Loss to Cowboys
    Win against Broncos (yawn)
    Loss to 49ers (blowout loss)
Win against Lions (48 to 45…yeah, the Lions scored 45)
Loss to Saints (gave up 39 points)
Then a 4 game Win streak (Cardinals, Chargers, Giants and Cardinals)

Seahawks aren’t exactly “world beaters”. I like the Bucs’ chances, especially in a close game.

The Seahawks have a good group of young, big and aggressive DBs but I think Julio’s and ME13’s experience will give them the edge. Especially Julio because he know how to get open. If he’s even close to 100% and can stay on the field, he should be able to school these young pups.

Bucs 31, Seahawks 17. Go Bucs!!!

  37. Panhandle Buc Says:

Yay, maybe another Jones Jet sweep for 2 yards!! #washed

  38. Browsing from DC Says:

PS- Those young aggressive DBs for Seattle are going to see 2 future Hall of Famers (3 because CG might get there too) coming at them. Let’s see how “grabby” they get facing that prospect if BL actually tries to stretch the field and go deep. Could be a big laundry day with PIs. Let’s hope BL wants to challenge them.

  39. Goatfarmer Says:

Julio is probably already in the Med Staff hotel area. Cramps, dehydration. And a bruise from being hit last Sunday.

  40. Ontario Mike Says:

Byron, Please don’t run up the gut on the 1st play !
