The Offensive Line Deserves Credit

September 16th, 2022

Dissing Bucs’ offensive line.

So what should Joe expect come Sunday when the Bucs travel to the Superdome to face the slimy Saints? It’s hard to base everything on Week 1.

Week 1 often is as much misleading as it is telling. But if beliefs are based more on what could happen in Week 2 than what took place in Week 1, then a BSPN talking head seems to be talking out of both sides of his mouth.

Dan Graziano believes the Saints defensive line is going to mop the Superdome’s bathrooms with the Bucs’ offensive line.

New Orleans is 4-1 against the Bucs since Tom Brady got there (yes, everyone remembers the one loss was in the playoffs), and the state of the Tampa Bay offensive line is frightening against that New Orleans defensive front. Brady and the Bucs really didn’t get a ton going on offense against the Cowboys in Week 1; they just looked good in comparison. The Saints have a formula for beating the Bucs and shape up to do it again at home this week. I can’t understand why they’re underdogs.

But what is Graziano basing this on, that the slimy Saints defensive line will fully own the Bucs?

Was Graziano watching last week? Take a guess how many sacks the slimy Saints had on the Dixie Chicks? One big fat goose egg. New Orleans did have one quarterback hit. And the Dixie Chicks’ offensive line was trash last year, plain and simple.

The Bucs’ offensive line went up against Demarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons, two excellent defenders. They had two sacks, both from Parsons. Oh, and Playoff Lenny ran for 127 yards, six yards a crack.

Are the slimy Saints any better than the Cowboys on the defensive front? They sure didn’t show it Sunday.

A week ago, yeah, Joe would be worried about the slimy Saints pass rush against the green and hurt Bucs front line. But not after last weekend’s games.

So Joe doesn’t know what Graziano thinks will make the Bucs front line crumble like crackers on Sunday. It does seem like Graziano made up his mind about this game weeks ago and he’s sticking to his guns.

How the Bucs play Sunday on both sides of the ball will say how their season will go. Why so many nagging injuries for the Bucs? Is it an aging team?

  2. MonkeyMan Says:

Apparently every team we play is the greatest team ever that will destroy us. They looked like sh*t against arguably the worst team in the NFL.

    Such clowns

If he hadn’t got injured last year they would’ve murdered us in that game AND we had the GOAT so don’t even count this as a win. He is a highly aggressive qb will turn it over but has the ability to kill us. Some of you let your personal hate for the man cloud your judgement.

He is a baller as much for his own team than for the other

Most Bucs fans will be wary of this game for good reason.
History shows they always play us tough.
However we have something to prove and that might just be enough

The Saints are playing at home so that’s an advantage. I have a feeling Ko Kieft may be in as fullback on a lot of plays to provide extra pass protection.

I say we mess with Dennis Allens’ head and bring the wishbone out lol let our OLmen eat

This game will come down to Turnovers, Penalties & Special Teams…..

Considering how well the Falcons ran against the ‘Aints, the Bucs should be ok. I hope to see more play action and pre-snap motion with the WRs though if the running game is as good as we hope.

I don’t put much stock in “history” considering team personnel changes every season. It will come down to match-ups. Coaching is where history makes more sense to me and we could be seeing a shift in our success come Sunday.

Our O-Line will be fine unless we have to play from behind too often and put too much pressure on them to pass protect in a shootout.

I predict a big game from our RBs and if Ko keeps up his play, he’ll be the Bucs rookie of the year. I also wouldn’t mind seeing BL dig to the back pages of the playback for some “interesting” or “creative” plays (don’t want to call ’em “trick plays” lol). Brady’s always liked a flea flicker play in the past.

If the Bucs sustain another injury to the O-line we are toast. We are out of depth. Licht and Bowles are rolling the dice big time.

The reason why the aints play so hard against us is because this is essentially their superbowl. The way they talk, if they could without the public absolutely roasting them, I bet they’d hang a banner for beating us in the regular season.
