Tom Brady Talks Julio Jones Bonding

August 27th, 2022

Tom Brady and Julio Jones.

As NFL scouts like to say, the eye in the sky doesn’t lie.

Today, that eye was Joe’s in Lucas Oil Stadium studying Tom Brady once he left the game after the Bucs’ first offensive series.

Brady went right to the bench to watch film. And then Brady soaked in some Julio Jones time. The legendary duo spent the next 10 minutes or so on the sidelines talking (photo above).

Nobody interrupted.

Joe’s noticed a similar scene at practices and here it was again in their first-ever game together.

After the game, Joe asked Brady about their connection in such a brief amount of time. Julio was signed late in July and Brady took about two weeks off in August.

“Julio’s really easy to have chemistry with; he’s an elite wide receiver in the NFL,” Brady replied, before listing great receivers and tight ends he’s played with. Brady included Jones as the kind of player who will elevate Brady’s game, and have amazing communication and day-after-day work ethic to bring great purpose to the common goal.

Yeah, Brady gets philosophical. But Joe knows it’s no coincidence that Julio had a 20-yard catch on Brady’s lone drive tonight.

Nice! Howard predicted White to be an huge asset and now he will predict Jones to have a huge renaissance under Brady.

    However:
Howard wants Jason Licht to start stockpiling Olinemen like a paranoid housewife on the paper aisle when the covid lockdown started.

Glad Tom is bonding with Julio because bringing him in will likely cost us one of his favorites…..Scotty……and Grayson is already gone….

Gotta know, did he mention AB?

    @TampaBayBucFan

In 2020, Scotty got action because the Bucs WR room was terrible. There was Mike with an early injury, Godwin missed time. Scotty was the #3, and at times the #2 receivers. Tom recruited AB, CG and ME got healthy and Johnson even took his snaps late in the season.

I’m 2021, they brought back everyone, and Brady even was allowed to hand pick the receiver he wanted in the draft, and chose Darden. They even brought in Perriman ahead of him and Grayson even got snaps in front of him.

In 2022, they signed Gage and Julio, both guys Brady played a huge role in signing, to play in front of Scotty.

In other words, the last player Tom is worried about losing is Scotty.

Not sure where this Scotty is one of Tom faves came from…

AB has more talent in his middle-finger than Scotty, Tyler or Perriman …..maybe even all of them melted down together! ….bring back AB and save the season!

Tom and Chris had quite the lengthy convo too. Ronde and Chris said on the broadcast it looked like Tom and Chris in the 2nd half were having a “podcast session”

Beej yes he did mention AB. I’m still not over AB quitting mid game on us but you can’t lie about ABs talent. He’s deff one of the best route runners to ever play the game to bad his head is shot tho

Brady also had a long conversation with Chris Godwin once he left the game.
