Todd Bowles: “Accountability” Will Be 2022 Difference

Todd Bowles

Interesting insight from Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles on the WFLA-TV broadcast of Preseason Game 1 at The Licht House tonight.

Bowles was shown on a pre-recorded interview talking about how “accountability” will be the difference this season — improving a 13-win team from a year ago.

Per Bowles, the Bucs weren’t fully on the details and rode talent more than anything last season following a Super Bowl win.

He sort of said that can happen to a Super Bowl winner, but this season Bowels expects his players to be more on the details and speaking up, “If you see something, say something.”

Bowles added that sloppiness caught up to the team last season and he’s confident that won’t happen again.

A cynic might say Bowles didn’t think Bucco Bruce Arians did the greatest job in 2021.

Bowles coaches the defense. It seems that he is indicting himself for sloppy coaching, not noticing if his guys knew what they were doing. Todd scares me.

    Here come the Jets.

Butters, I have to warn you, I’m bi-curious

If by “accountability” he means, as-in: sloppy in turnovers and drawing penalties… ya, do that please.
