He’s Back!

August 22nd, 2022

Returned.

He has risen!

Tom Brady is back at One Buc Palace per Jenna Laine of ESPN. Fresh from his family vacation in the Bahamas, Brady is ready to rally his beat up offensive line and march the Bucs into another Super Bowl chase.

Right now, all feels right with the world for Joe.

It was Brady’s son’s birthday. Have to think that had something to do with it.

  15. Tampabaybucfan Says:

For those who thought that Brady would ruin his reputation by quitting on his team right before the season…….you need help.

  16. Ultra ClodHopper Says:

I never understood the hyperventilating anyways.

  17. Chris K Says:

Can Jeff come out and play? Can all you trolls come out to play today? Hiding in your mommies basement? I got it! You should be!

  18. Bucsfan13 Says:

The way that some in the media have handled this Brady’s personal leave of absence has been outright disgraceful. Here’s a man who’s spent his entire career as being the most well prepared and detailed player in the league. His work ethic and leadership are unquestioned. There have been numerous stories about his great work ethic. A lot of them have been posted by the Joes. In his 23 year career, he’s gone deep into the playoffs for twenty of them, which means he’s had a shorter off-season the most. Of course, here in Tampa we would have no clue about the post season grind because we were a disaster before Brady was signed. Brady had spoken numerous times, most recently in his documentary, how his obsession with football has tormented him and he hopes it wouldn’t affect his children.

So knowing his history, and what’s been said by he and his wife about the lack of balance between work and life, you had to know if he’s taken a personal leave of absence it’s something of importance to him that would cause him to miss parts of training camp. It’s something that’s no one else’s business. I’d imagine if anyone took a personal leave that you would find it off putting if people engaged in rampant speculation as to your whereabouts. Some say he’s on a vacation and use it some derisive way. It’s been speculated that the absence was because he was headed for divorce. People have said he’s secretly suspended, his mom was very ill, HGH injection therapy, he’s appearing on the Masked Singer, and the most bonkers of all is that he’s in hiding because Trump’s house was raided. All of this crazy speculation because Brady had the audacity not to hold a news conference and tell the media the reason for his absence. It’s just been absolutely shameful the way some media and fans have discussed this issue.

He came in early to camp as Bowles has stated because he wanted to get in some work with the new guys. He accomplished his goal. Gage went out with an injury and Julio doesn’t practice much. Evans and CG are both still out. So essentially he would be throwing passes in extreme heat to guys most likely not to be on the team. That seems very unproductive. As far as the OL, until the OL is set with its he wouldn’t be able to gain any valuable chemistry anyway. He can’t help these guys pass block. That’s on them and our OL coaches.

If Brady was Aaron Rodgers, he would hold his press conference when he returned, and unload on every single media who thought they were entitled to know why he was out with his personal leave of absence. It would be glorious. Brady would never, but boy it would be fun.

  19. BucU Says:

Feels like Brady showed up just in time to see his offensive line DEVASTATED. I don’t care who’s playing QB. This O line we have right now will get TB12 killed.
The brittle Bucs are in big big trouble.
    Tom you shoulda stayed retired.

  20. Statistically Insignificant Reader Says:

Hopefully the bloviating idiots [experts] are eating crow for breakfast and feeling better.
    Welcome back Tom

  21. NCBucfan Says:

I def was worried, won’t lie. Very happy he’s back!!! Now, can we please get him suitable protection!

  22. Bucs Win Says:

Aww man I was really hoping Brady was hanging it up so Trask can begin what is sure to be a HOF career.

  23. SB~LV Says:

    BS on the Bahamas

  24. Carl Johnson Says:

What will the sports journalists and pundits now have to talk about?

  25. Kody Says:

Am I the only one who feels BAD that he’s back???

I’m afraid he’s gonna get absolutely destroyed with the depleted OL he’s now stuck with.

    I’m worried for Tom!

Licht better doing something fast and get Tom some far better protection or Tom and his array of WRs are gonna be pretty much worthless.

  26. Leda Says:

God is good. I was not worried to Tom the player but to his personal life/health.

  27. Bucs Win Says:

I’m predicting Ms Laine will pepper every person she interviews this week with 5 or 6 800 word questions where she states her long winded hypotheses in question form and the asks “What’s it Like….” When shes ass questions her words spoken to information gleaned ratio is suspect.

  28. D-Rome Says:

    A big, giant nothing-burger.

No mature athlete wants or needs to go through the rah-rah “we are a team” speeches, conditioning drills, and such for a 22nd year. He enjoyed time with his family. Tom Brady is the exception to every rule, make believe or otherwise. The knuckle draggers need to stop with the “He’s GotTa bE tHeRe foR hIs tEaM” crap.

  29. Wild Bill Says:

Haha, dunk and dink will keep Tom on his feet! You thought he had a quick release, shot gun formation and speedy receivers should mitigate a weaker line until new pass blockers arrive.

  30. Buc4evr Says:

Now all we need is for Jason to fix the O line.

  31. Bird Says:

    Tampabaybucsfan

No doubt indeed. And those same people accuse you of being clueless 😂

    Jeff

Go back to taking it from the front and the back 😂

  32. Listnfrmafar Says:

SB-LV and Oneilbucyall are all bent out of shape, they want Brady off the roster so Bucs fans can watch Gabbert and Trask shat themselves on national TV. He’s back so all you fans can put your brown bags back in your closet until next season, except SB and Oneilbucyall keep yours on so the real losers in the stands can be identified.

  33. SB~LV Says:

Nobody with Brady money vacations in the Bahamas in August

  34. Oneilbuc Says:

Listnfrmafar. I can care less about Brady coming back . I knew he was coming back but this is the last year with Brady and then you can go back to the Patriots where you came from. Every one knows your a Brady fan and not a real bucs fan. You said it your self once Brady leaves you will be gone. So your opinion about the bucs don’t even matter.

  35. Listnfrmafar Says:

SB-LV not a fan of your Brady hate but I will say your last post is valid.

  36. Listnfrmafar Says:

Oneilbucyall, so your a true Bucs fan even though you don’t care for the QB that gives them the best chance of winning? So you saw your boy Trask who you believe should start. Do you still feel the same way? I saw a guy that shows potential but a VERY slow release and tends to toss up balloons from time to time. What true fan wants their team to lose? Yes once Brady is gone I am to but I would consider me a bigger fan than you at least I want to see them win. I have become a big fan of many of the players, the coaching staff, not so much. The team is too good to have average at best coaches.

  37. PassingThru Says:

I realize this was a precondition for Brady coming back from retirement, but it’s a terrible look for everyone involved.

  38. jehzsa Says:

Good news is he brought souvenirs for everybody.

  39. OrlandoBucFan Says:

I was just down in the Bahamas a couple of weeks ago (Grand Cay/Treasure Cay) and was told Brady had a place at Bakers Bay. It is an exclusive private resort. Not a bad place for a vacation. Glad he is back and hopefully refreshed. Now if we can only find a guard.

  40. geno711 Says:

    Listnfrmafar

Oneilbuc is pretty much only a Jameis Winston fan. He is hoping Trask plays and does not play as well as Jameis’ so he can blame the organization.

He blamed almost every interception Jameis threw on the receiver.
He was on the site when Arians canned Winston for Brady saying it was Arians who was inept.
He was on the site then proclaiming there was no way the Bucs could win the Super Bowl with Brady and Arians.
He was on the site when Winston went 5 for his first 5 for the Saints.
He is on the site now saying the Bucs will have a losing record and that we should play Trask.

I understand Brady fans coming on the site. I really do not understand Jameis Winston only fans still on the site 2 and 1/2 years later.

  41. ScottyMack Says:

What was he supposed to accomplish the last 11 days in practice? Get used to throwing to guys who won’t even make the team or backups for the big 4 starters?

Yeah, he could have thrown the ball a few times to Julio the past week and a half and to a gimpy Godwin. He’ll probably do that on his own in his spare time with these guys.

Nah, Brady didn’t miss a thing and neither did the Bucs while he was gone.

  42. D-Rome Says:

I understand Brady fans coming on the site. I really do not understand Jameis Winston only fans still on the site 2 and 1/2 years later.

Dirk Koetter, Bruce Arians, and Sean Payton couldn’t fix Jameis but after 8 years Dennis Allen is going to be the guy. Source: Trust me bro

  43. Elita Vita Says:

Those 10-11 days seemed very very long for the Bucs fans and the media to endure. Seemed like an eternity!

  44. HC Grover Says:

    LFG

  45. Bilobi Says:

Finally the returninatter is back, quick to the chopper we got a season to win
    Not sorry 🤠❤️🙏

  46. Ontario Mike Says:

Get Tretter, 2021 stats: 1039 snaps, 1 sack allowed, 5 penalties…sounds pretty good to me! Go get him Jason !

  47. ScottyMack Says:

Winston was not 7-0 with the Saints to start the season. The Saints were 7-0 with Winston. In other words, Oneilbuc is giving Winston a whole lot of undeserved credit.

Winston averaged less than 170 yards passing per game and had 14 TDs with 3 INTs during that stretch. It was the Alvin Kamara show with Winston being dragged across the goal line by Kamara’s coattails and the play of the Saints’ stellar defense.

Brady during the first 7 games last year averaged 325 yards per game and had 21 TDs with 3 INTs during the first 7 games.

In other words, it ain’t even close. And, for anyone who thinks Kyle Trask is the answer, you’re all delusional. Barring injury, Trask will never start a game in the NFL for any team during his career.

  48. Cobraboy Says:

I’m bummed he’s not a Masked Singer. I was hoping for his rendition of Thunderstruck or Paradise by the Dashboard Lights.>/i>

(I don’t care how nice the digs are. The Bahamas in August is almost intolerable.)

In any event, can we please get past the Colts unscathed, find some interior OL depth, get the walking wounded healthy, and LFG!!!!!?????

  49. 99 55 47 20 Says:

    Happy Birthday to his son!

    LFG!!

  50. SPARKY Says:

Tom should of took the rest of the starters to the Bahamas with him so nobody would of got hurt in them 10 days.

  51. #8 Says:

    Maybe Suh vacationed with them?

  52. 99 55 47 20 Says:

    Maybe Suh for G lol
    Welcome back TB12
    LFG!!!

  53. HomerSimpsonRocks Says:

Solid. Now we just need an interior OL.

  54. lokog Says:

I was worried he was gonna pull ab on us

  55. Listnfrmafar Says:

    Can Suh play guard?

  56. Listnfrmafar Says:

geno agreed, anything to slander his WHITE QB and make Winsten look better.

  57. Mark A Swygert Says:

I don’t understand the mentality of the guy who picks his favorite team because of a particular player or players on their roster. I am a Buc fan because of the city in their name. I’m a UF grad, but I don’t give a damn where our players went to school or where they played in the NFL before they came here. I’m a “homer” and if you think that is a disparaging term then you have no loyalty to your home. I am a fan of all the players on our roster and the better they play and the more they contribute to winning, the more I like them. Right now, no Buc helps us win more than Tom Brady. You people that want him off the team now must love FSU or UF or the Pats more than the Bucs. It’s a free country, so you can be a slimy troll if you want to, but fans like me are just as free to call you out.

  58. GOB Says:

Brady has a certain cache amongst his teammates. It’s the only reason this vacation was acceptable. Look at Wilson’s report. Brady probably wanted to be at camp, and super G demanded this time. Would you rather be a teammate of Ryan Tannehill? who’s at camp every day, or Brady. I still have a problem with the absence, simply because of this fact. If they get off to a slow start, and Brady has trouble connecting with him new recievers, everyone will point to the time off. Whatever, it’s on to Dallas.

  59. Marques Says:

    Contrary to Popular Belief,
“Reports of My Death are Greatly Exaggerated”

  60. Lakeland Steve Says:

Just one question. Can Brady play offensive guard too?

  61. Lesko_Brandon Says:

Now, I can sleep well at night ! 🙂

  62. Lesko_Brandon Says:

    LFG !!! Go BUCS!!!

  63. brooks Says:

You all should feel stupid for all your speculation!!!

  64. August 1976 Buc Says:

TB12 = Bucs Relevence in NFL

    No TB12 = No relevence

    Thankful Brady is back.

    GO BUCS!!!

  65. Rod Munch Says:

I’m going to assume, while he was ‘retired’, he promised his family a trip before school started, something like that, and when he ‘unretired’ he told the team he had made that promise and planned to stick to it, and the Bucs said, ‘OK BOSS, WHATEVER YOU WANT’, which was the proper answer.

But Brady will be fine, it’s not like he actually needs the extended camp in the Florida sun in August. In fact it’s kind of a waste since the Bucs don’t even have a home game until the end of September, and even that is a 4:25p game.

In fact the Bucs, once again, aren’t getting much of a home field advantage, of bringing teams to Tampa to face the heat in early September. That seems like a pattern over the last few years.

  66. Robby Says:

Who’s the kid in the pic wearing #12?

  67. adam from ny Says:

  68. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Maybe Jay Miss is the Masked Singer!

  69. ChiBuc Says:

The best jackass in the game is back! Line up sychophants and get on your knees for the donkey show. Likely another tampering “vacation” because we know poor entitled Tommy and fam are so deprived that they gotta vacate during his 6 month work yr.

    SB or FU, TB. LFG!

  70. Coran Says:

    Chibuc, seek mental help.

  71. Listnfrmafar Says:

ChiBuc, alias Oneilbucyall, SB-LV, and your answer at QB is? Winsten is not available.

  72. Coran Says:

“6 month work year”… except he has several business ventures, as does his wife, those schedules likely don’t all align. He also has multiple children, one of whom does not live with him. School is 10 months a year, and the schedule of the other mother etc has to also be aligned with Tom’s to make family time work. Always amazing to see grown men be so completely overwhelmed by emotions that the stuff that’s said in these comments gets said. No ability to think at all. Just feels, feels, feels. Grow up lol. He’s back, as any rational person knew he would be. Bucs have a chance to win. Go bucs!

This site was an amazing find, but the way some writers and fans have reacted to these recent Tom stories is unfortunate… good thing it doesn’t reflect the team. Again, go bucs!

  73. TAMPA BAY DEMON Says:

    ChiBuc, Oneilbuc, SB-LV…..

    Hello.

The rest of us are happy.

  74. TAMPA BAY DEMON Says:

You all are one & the same, correct?
    LOL.

  75. TAMPA BAY DEMON Says:

    Jeff seems oddly quiet.

  76. ChiBuc Says:

Nope. Love me some TB, but hate the drama and BS. He keeps toying with fans and you whelp, “thank you, may I have another.” As soon as he is no longer a Buc, that mofo is dead to me.

  77. ChiBuc Says:

I don’t give a sh!t what ventures he has. Meaningless to me and you. I am a buccaneers fan, not a backstreet Brady boy apologist. Tis you that should seek help for your twisted reality. TB don’t care about you. Ur a freak for thinking he identifies with you as much as you fantasize he does. Join the real world, where ppl are held accountable to show up at work.. sick of his little MS games and listening to you chip lil fools every timeTommy strings you along like a desperate lil school girl.. Life exists beyond TB. He is good for 1 thing, imo, superbowls. Other than that, he’s just your fantasy man crush

  78. Listnfrmafar Says:

Chi, so you don’t know anyone that came out of retirement or anyone that negotiated a vacation when starting a job? I guess he could of asked for $60MM and crippled the team. Grow up, this is the real world, football is just a entertainment sport that others can live vicariously through.

  79. TAMPA BAY DEMON Says:

ChiBuc, damn dude, all the fantasize, man crush, man boi, blah blah blah, whatever the hell else…. lol

Don’t really know what in the hell the point was.
But, then again, it probably doesn’t matter.
Thankful to have 3 seasons with Tom, been a hell of a ride.

    BUT..
I was a BUCS fan long before TB was here & will be long after.
I eat, sleep & breathe TAMPA BAY sports.
They are and always will be #1 in my world.

    BUCS, LIGHTNING, RAYS.

  80. ChiBuc Says:

Oh, I’m going to root for him as a Buc just as hard as I rooted against him when he was a Pat.
I get the Fandom. Gonna always represent for my hometown team. But sorry man, I gotta life. I don’t need to live vicariously through a sport. That’s a bit sad.

You are naive as fuk, if you do not see that his football salary is chump change to the glory, endorsements, and opportunities playing the game brings him. He is way too smart to hurt his chances of winning over a few mill when a billion is up for grabs. Come on. Do you really think he takes a pay cut for you, fanboy? Because he’s selfless and cares? You really are smitten… that’s cute.

  81. Goatfarmer Says:

The IQ of the average poster has been skewed to the negative by a few that would make Simple Jack look intelligent.

    Good grief .

    Drrrrrrrhhh.

  82. steele Says:

Regardless of all the spin that this was all a big nothingburger, it was absolutely mishandled by Brady and the team. There is no excuse for the mysteriousness.
Simple explanations? Fine, explain simply and in a timely fashion. That is how to stop the rumors and speculation.

Whatever the reason was, you can bet that if it had simply been announced at the get-go, nobody would have had any concerns. Shrug. Fine, Tom, do what you have to do. THAT’S IT.

  83. TAMPA BAY DEMON Says:

    CHI,,,

Would absolutely love to see you say that to my face…. pathetic dweeb.

Go back to Chicago & root for your Bears.

  84. ChiBuc Says:

Lol…who are you, Demon? Don’t flatter yourself. I didn’t even realize you were in the room, but apparently you felt addressed. Settle down and chug another Busch.

Fool. I’ve been a buc fan before your daddy was loosing bait to blue crabs at ballast point, before your “world” (bolts & rays) even existed. You seem to have a reading comprehension problem.

  85. Coran Says:

Chibuc, what are you doing?. It’s a damn game and you’re acting like it’s gang wars. Ppl here are pointing out that he went on vacation, during his sons birthday which was probably planned before he came back from retirement, and you’re acting like Tom murdered 1000 kids and we’re all just smiling. You say it’s other ppl who are obsessed with Tom, all I see is the rational ppl pointing out that it’s just a vacation that was agreed upon before camp, and then you losing your mind cuz apparently you think Tom should meet with you personally, give you constant updates on his life, ask your permission before doing anything, check that things won’t hurt your feelings etc etc etc and you have the gall to think that it’s the other ppl who are obsessed? You’re a delusional 10yr old acting like the dodgeball game you’re in has life and death stakes. Calm down. There is an insane level of projection comeeing from you. I mean, you’re legit pulling the “who are you” and “I’ve been doing X since before…” cards. Sooo cringy. Like, really embarrassing. This is a simple forum to talk bucs. You’re investment here is really over the top.

  86. Coran Says:

And if you don’t care about his ventures, then don’t say he only has a 6 month work year lol. Those venture directly refute your point. If you’re going to mention the work he has, you’re gonna hear about ALL the work her has lol. Silly to expect otherwise.

Literally no one is making excuses. The adults in the room are just calmly stating “it was vacation” and you’re so triggered by this mundane, emotionless statement that you proceed to 13yr-old-bro vomit into the chat board. Life is okay, the team is okay, let this place be the same great place it was before ppl lost their minds.

  87. directdriver Says:

The man has been to 47 playoff games. That’s almost 3 full seasons of regular season games in addition to his 20 years as a starter (minus his 2000 rookie season and 2008 injured season)! Essentially he’s been playing 23 seasons worth of football, while the Lions have been to only 3 playoff games in this century! You would think the man deserves a mini vacation?

  88. Willie artis Says:

How did you come out on the mask singer ?

  89. Willie artis Says:

You can sing your song you sing on the mask singer on the Superbowl winning stage
