I had tickets for a great Chicago “Tribute” band from Moscow. I saw them last year in Clearwater, they were great so I got tickets for this year. They added Steely Dan and Earth Wind and Fire covers.

But after the Russian invasion of Ukraine I just ate the tickets. They lost their lead singer who is Ukrainian and it was just hard to support anything Russian.

My point…if the Monster of Moscow keeps MURDERING innocent civilians with missile strikes on malls and hospitals it’s only going to get uglier in time for next year’s NHL season. I’m a big fan of Vasy, Kuch and Sergachev and I realize it’s not like they get to really select their leader in Russia but just the name Russia disgusts me now. A Downs syndrome child killed, her mother lost a leg and perhaps will lose her life along with more than 20 other civilians. What Russia is doing is disgusting!!! Subhuman!

Again I get it’s not our Russian players faults, I also get it’s not like they can easily simply move here because what would happen to their families who are left behind. It’s not like Putin doesn’t wreak revenge!

Just saying I do not believe Vasy, Kuch and Sergachev are SURE things next year and if the war keeps getting nastier with more sanctions there is the chance that just like Wimbledon the NHL will ban Russian players. That would END the Lightning’s chance to reach the finals again and maybe even the playoffs.

I think if we would have had Braden Point, we would have won the Cup.
Palate might be a hard guy to replace.
