Mike Evans On Cusp Of Another Hall Of Fame Mark

July 21st, 2022

“You are my guy now, Mikey.”

Joe has consistently said that Bucs stud receiver is on a path to Canton.

And per the fingers of Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports, if Evans just matches the same season he has had the past two years, it should clinch his case to be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Evans has had 1,000 yards each of his eight seasons in the NFL. That’s never been done. But in the past two seasons, Evans has had 13 and 14 touchdowns, respectively. If Evans can have at least 13 touchdowns this season, per Kerr, he will achieve a feat only three other receivers have accomplished in NFL history.

All three have busts in Canton.

And you know what, as soon as Joe finishes typing this here post, Joe will see what kind of action can be had on Evans and his over/under of touchdown catches this season. With the news last night that the Bucs signed tight end Kyle Rudolph, it sure seems the door is now closed for a potential return of foot-rubbing Rob Gronkowski.

Those touchdowns have to come from somewhere. Who do you think Tom Brady trusts more to throw to, Evans or Cade Otton?

Joes beginning to remind me of dueling banjos, or is it banjoes! One of the Joes willing to lay lumbar on Gronk’s absence, I love it!

  2. Dooley Says:

Nice, this’ll look good on the way to the 10K career reception yard club and means he’ll be at least up to 88 career TDs by the end of 2022

  3. David Says:

Just stay healthy!! And 1200 yards and 12+ TDs will be there.

There can be no doubt about ME13’s talent and performance thoughout his career! In addition he has been quite durable possessing that critical “availABILITY”. Lance Alworth was affectionately known as “Bambi”. He played like a deer in the headlights but had speed and great hands and the ability to get open. Kind of like a forerunner to Cooper Kupp.

Jerry Rice not a dominating physical force..T.O. perhaps had the most similar game to ME13. So for a physical player to only miss 3 games in seven seasons is pretty amazing! He plays hurt, he shows up!

But the very best part of ME13 and CG14 for that matter is their personalities.
I do not believe there is another tandem of WR’s in the league as selfless and team oriented as these two stars. They have amazing egos that they have kept in check. They are SOOO comfortable in their own skin, nothing to prove that they cheer each other on.

While I certainly give CG14 his share of props for being a GREAT teammate it’s ME13 who is truly impressive. He was the straw that stirred the drink and when CG14 exploded nobody was happier for him than ME13.

I think ME13 is awesome and I suspect his childhood, had a lot to do with his appreciation of life. His mother had him when she was just 14…his father was a serial abuser of his mom and so his uncle murdered his father. Talk about some personal challenges.

Yes ME13 is a GREAT football player who will be in Canton one day. But IMHO he is even a greater human being and he literally inspires me!

Y, StPete, and Mike was only 9 years old when he found his father dead in the street outside his home. I think he had some good support after that, though, from his family. Mike has become a beloved and very skilled player. Not only that, but he is loyal and has stayed with us through much team adversity.

  8. Goatfarmer Says:

Many much warms for ME13. Can’t wait to wear his red jersey on game days.

Yes which is why he’s suffering very mild symptoms. He’s had four shots.

The vaccine does not mean you won’t get it. It doesn’t mean you can’t give it to someone else. Its designed to keep you out of the hospital and out of the morgue.

  10. Commander Says:

I believe Rudolph is a replacement for Howard not Gronk. I believe Gronk will still play for the BUCS in some capacity but maybe a more limited role the first part of the season

@StPeteBucsFan, bro that was an awesome post 👏

@StPetrBucsFan, you are correct but idiot anti-vaxxers don’t believe in scientific evidence so you probably shouldn’t waist your time.

Sorry, I’m a little late to this party.

StPete, you stated: “The vaccine does not mean you won’t get it. It doesn’t mean you can’t give it to someone else….”

I saw & heard with my own eyes & ears, the CDC director, Dr. Walensky tell the world, around the time the vaccines were released that; “If you get the shot, you will not get the virus!” I’ve heard her use the word “hope” in describing the long-lasting value of the shots’ efficacy. The CDC’s opinion flip-flopped many times on the topic of masks etc…. We have been sold many promises by the CDC that have not been honest & wholly accurate. They have earned our scrutiny!!

There has not been open & honest dialogue in our country, especially. The ONLY answer, according to the experts, is the shot & more shots! They would have us believe that there are absolutely NO ALTERNATIVES to the shots? There are many, if one searches independently & I’m not going into them now. There are plenty of brave medical professionals who have deviated &/or want questioned the actions & opinions of the CDC, FDA & other lap-dog agencies but, we citizens shouldn’t?

I haven’t even mentioned Myocarditis or any of the many reported deleterious “side effects” of the shots, experienced by millions, that are most assuredly underreported.

What is “fully vaccinated”, anyway? When I asked my nurse that question, she chocked-back a laugh!?

ME13 is a hall of famer for sure.
