Gronk’s Girlfriend Says She Doesn’t Think He’ll Stay Retired

July 18th, 2022

Fresh chatter.

Hope lives to fight another day!

In story published today by Sports Illustrated, Rob Gronkowski’s famous girlfriend, Camille Kostek, revealed via SI.com video that she doesn’t think Gronk’s retirement is real.

“I am an honest lady, and honestly, in my heart, I didn’t feel like this one is a forever one,’ Kostek said. “So, I think that it’s (pause) maybe he’ll come back again. I feel like him and Tom are just having fun. They’re like, ‘Retired, not retired, retired, not retired. … Like love me. Love me not. Retired, unretired.”

Kostek was speaking at a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit event. She is a past cover model.

Joe’s going to play optimist today and assume Kostek is “an honest lady” and knows Gronk is strongly considering a summer comeback. Perhaps the big guy will show up Aug. 20 so he’s ready for opening day.

  1. Mike Says:

Well, if anyone knows, it’s likely her, so this is pretty good news I think.

  2. D-Rok Says:

Great. I had (for now) taken Gronk at his word he isn’t coming back. Now I have to deal with the word of his GF, which just possibly reignite “hope.”

At least we got our GAD (Gronk-A-Day) article we all love.

  3. Casual Observer Says:

Time for another one of Joe’s polls.

  4. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Gronk-a-day…..a dead horse kept alive by the girlfriend……hooray!!!

  5. SB~LV Says:

    Playoff specialist

  6. SufferingSince76 Says:

It’s a good sign that she’s on board with his return. I hope he’s just making Tom (and the rest of us) squirm.

  7. Alanbucsfan Says:

In other news, reports that Fournette weighs 260?
Is Lombardi Lenny becoming Lard ass Lenny?
Or is he trying to be Derrick Henry?

  8. Goatfarmer Says:

Camille better watch out or Gronk might dump her for Annie Agar.

At least Camille loves her man to play football, unlike Geezellla.

  9. Allbuccedup Says:

Enough already forget Gronk forget Arians forget JPP forget Suh lets talk about people that are here or players we need to replace the ones that are no longer here.

  10. mark2001 Says:

Is he playing with us? Is everyone in on the joke but us? Welllllll.. could be.

  11. Rod Munch Says:

I think Gronk is having a lot of fun in the offseason, and the last thing in the world he wants to do is be training camp in July and August in Tampa. But come football season, he’ll start to get the itch, and Brady will make the call, and he’ll come in. Personally I don’t care what he does in the regular season so long as he’s healthy and a full go for the playoffs.

  12. Marlbor Man Says:

Im hoping Gronk does come back.I would Love to see him and TB12 break the record for tds for qb and TE.I think they only need 12.If Gronk had stayed healthy they could have possibly done it last year.heres lookin at the Tuddies record.

  13. sasquatch Says:

    Please stop.

  14. Ash Says:

Gronk got beat the hell up I doubt he is coming back. Just when you thought those gronk a day articles were finally done. If he says otherwise I take him at his word guy looks like he is having a blast out of football so I think retirement sticks.

  15. sasquatch Says:

Stop. Really. This is getting absurd.

  16. VATom Says:

Brady and Gronk are planning on MIA 2023. Thats my fear.

  17. stpetebucsfan Says:

I hope Camille realizes that Gronk might never remember her birthday or their anniversary if he keeps playing.

He’s NOT a wide receiver. He’s not even a Cam Brate type TE…he’s known not just for his hands but his incredible blocking of beasts much larger than him.

How about this simple fact: Of 202 former players of the U.S. version of the game whose brains were examined, 87% showed the diagnostic signs of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a neurodegenerative disease associated with repetitive head trauma. Among former National Football League (NFL) players in the sample, that number jumped to 99%.

I could link but I do not wish to upset Joe. If you disbelieve google for yourself.

  18. Tom Sumner Says:

See ya soon 87!! love ya Bro.. Tom

  19. Pewter Power Says:

Please please I don’t want to see two players on one team retire than unretire, we’ll never hear the end of it so stay retired. We are are still Super Bowl contenders with or without

  20. Beeej Says:

Girlfriends want their boyfriends to play–the parties, the attention sitting in the wives section, etc. . WIVES: they are past all that

  21. Bobby M. Says:

I think he comes back….he may sit until we lose our first game but at some point I believe he returns.

  22. GOB Says:

Good for Gronks current girlfriend, and her opinion. But, he’s as done with football as he will be with her in a few months. I tend to believe the man, and not the girlfriend in these matters. His body is shot, and he’s done taking them. Had he not suffered that horrible rib/lung injury last year, he may have returned for one more run. But, I think that ended things as far as another season is concerned. Let the man alone.

  23. Bird Says:

I always thought he was coming back. This recent video where he said he was done , i was about to eat crow.

The way she worded it. Its seems pretty clear he will be back at some point. No need for her to put any pressure on him if there wasnt some truth bomb she already knows first hand

  24. Anonymous Says:

    Joe,

Gronk a day articles should include a picture of Camille. We deserve it.

    Thanks in advance.

  25. Biff Barker Says:

    Joe,

Gronk a day articles must include a requsite picture of Camille. We deserve it.

    Thanks in advance.

  26. Bird Says:

She has been dating him since 2015. So 7 years and good chance eventually they get married (if gronk smash is capable of that)

Pretty sure she has some good insight on what gronk is gonna do!

  27. mark2001 Says:

You don’t think…heaven forbid… that she is in on the “game” and Gronk suggested she put that out, do you?

  28. mark2001 Says:

I can’t imagine her putting that out without talking to Gronk first.

  29. ModHairKen Says:

He doesn’t need training camp. He is probably doing this retirement thing to avoid a bunch of nonsense during camp. Then, a week before the season he gets a big contract and scores two TDs v Dallas. And the legend grows.

Gronk is smarter than all of us. Way smarter.

  30. steele Says:

It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter what she says. HE said “I’m done” essentially three times the last time he was asked. SO THAT’S IT until it isn’t—-and you don’t wait.

Get that TE1 right now. Get those guys working with TB12 right now. If Gronk decides at some point he wants to get off the couch, he can ask for a spot in the rotation at that time. Not before. No reserved parking space.

  31. GOB Says:

Gronk need not have retired to avoid camp, and the subsequent fines that come with a veteran deal. Just remain a FA, until the time comes. He loves these Gronk a day stories, make no mistake. It makes the endorsement deals that much more lucrative. The man is done, and I’m no longer commenting until the man tells me different.

  32. Lou in srq Says:

Until he turns his papers in he has not officially retired. Until then he is an unsigned free agent, who is on the fence about resigning.
I still think he has a Football Jones, and will announce his return. At least if he does come back it’s not simply a money issue.gametime decisions suck

  33. DBS Says:

One it’s a story from his GF which is news . Second I am glad to see you put it up just to see 2 people complain that can’t simply not read it if they don’t like it.

  34. Tom Says:

Let’s just move on. If he retires so be it, if he un retires so be it. Stop with all the crap and cover more important issues.
When Gronk and his close confidants move on, then Joe will move on. Joe would be happy to attend Gronk’s retirement news conference or party, except he hasn’t scheduled one.–Joe

  35. Joe Says:

Let’s just move on. If he retires so be it, if he un retires so be it. Stop with all the crap and cover more important issues.

And an example of “more important issues” other than a Hall of Fame tight end possibly returning to the Bucs would be… ?

Whole lot of bitter people past couple of days b!tching about Joe’s content. Perhaps folks should be ragging on Roger Goodell instead for not scheduling games in July?

If Joe’s content is so awful (independent traffic meters document far to the contrary), then why read it?

  36. mark2001 Says:

Joe… reminds me of the Big Dog, and all the people that said they hated him and his program. But though they said they hated him, they listened almost daily. Hummm…
