NFL Network To Carry Bucs Preseason Game Live

June 13th, 2022

For Bucs fans be out of town in August but wanting to watch a Bucs preseason game, NFL Network has you covered.

NFL Network broadcasts all preseason games. But the vast majority are on a tape-delayed basis. That’s great for Bucs fans outside the area and great for Bucs fans within the WFLA-TV Channel 8 viewing area to watch again, if they forgot to record the game on their DVRs.

(It’s 2022 and Ira still doesn’t have a DVR. Luddite old codger. 🙂 )

This morning, NFL Network announced it would broadcast 22 preseason games live. And one is a Bucs game.

When the Bucs travel to Nashville to play the Titans (Joe will ask once again why folks don’t just use the first syllable for Titans like folks use “Bucs” or “Jags?”) for a series of controlled scrimmages, the preseason game that will follow will be broadcast live on the NFL Network.

That will be Saturday, Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. EDT.

Pre Season or not, I want to watch my Bucs because I am very excited for this year!

  2. Dewey Selmon Says:

Last year was the first with 3 preseason games. After the 3rd there was a bye before the regular season. Will it be the same this year or will they push the preseason opener back 1 week?

  3. D-Rok Says:

    Yes Joe.

The first 3 letters of the Titans (with an S at end) definitely SHOULD be their nickname/moniker. I caught that subtle humor there and chuckled – good job! LOL 🙂

  4. Buck Rodgers Says:

I live on Long Island and have been a Buccaneer fan since 87, glad to hear this. It’s been awesome over the last couple years with the Bucs on the top of the food chain!
