Leonard Fournette Responds To Shannon Sharpe’s Blast

Disses Playoff Lenny.
Joe really isn’t sure what Shannon Sharpe is hollering about here, but he certainly unloaded on Skip Bayless in a recent broadcast of “Undisputed,” seen weekdays on FS1. And in the process, Sharpe threw Playoff Lenny under the bus.
And Playoff Lenny isn’t too happy about it.
Joe is guessing Sharpe took issue with Bayless for Bayless saying Brady turned the Bucs and his teammates into winners.
Joe doesn’t think there is anything wrong with what Bayless said. Apparently, and Joe is guessing here, Sharpe believes that Brady gets too much credit. Bayless said Brady helped turn around Playoff Lenny’s career and Sharpe became enraged.
Sharpe, the best Joe can tell, claimed Playoff Lenny was lazy and out of shape in Jacksonville and that he turned his career around himself — and it had nothing to do with Brady.
Playoff Lenny was none to happy and he basically told Sharpe to check himself and his stats if he thinks Playoff Lenny was lazy and out of shape in Jacksonville.

Playoff Lenny had one bad season in Jacksonville and the Jags, proud and successful franchise they are, tried to blacklist and cut him. We all found out what a savvy move that was, no?
You can see Sharpe’s meltdown in the FS1 video below. Joe really isn’t sure what Sharpe was trying to accomplish other than slander Playoff Lenny and mock Brady. Oh, and Sharpe basically said Playoff Lenny is out of shape currently.

I never pay much attention to these screamers anyway. Lenny works hard, runs hard, and is a team leader. What more can we ask for ?

Outside of one incident Lenny has done nothing but kick butt since he’s been here. He’s been a good player and a great teammate from all that I’ve read. Sharpe is a clown and I’ve watched all of 20 minutes of that show.

Sharpe knows football. Lenny was getting frustrated playing for a loser. He was locked in a contract because he wanted the cash and not a winner. Not sure he was outta shape but he sure did not seem motivated.
When he came to the bucs he had something to prove and was successful. I do think Sharpe has a point but surrounding players make an impact and QB does usually make the most impact.

Skip Bayless in a Bucs jersey or talking as if he knows whats even going on in Tampa makes me cringe. Sharpe, unfortunately has top stoop to Bayless’ level to keep that gig and this is what it gets him, looking like a dingus on a national level.

It you have blocking & enough talent, I think it’s possible to be out of shape & lazy and still gain 1000 yards….but I don’t think that’s the case here.

Shannon bout blew a gasket. To be fair, Lenny did his own thing in Tampa. He’s a beast. Brady definitely helps the entire team, but Lenny is a top 10 RB in the NFL.
