Gamblers: Bucs Will Dominate NFC South

June 11th, 2022

Bucs expected to flex on the NFC South.

Yes, the Bucs are a lesser team than last year — at least in Joe’s eyes. Not by much. But a little short of the 2021 talent.

But those who make a living at sports wagering think the Bucs might just be better in the NFC South.

Per Matt Severance of Sportsline, there’s a sportsbook in Vegas that offers season-win totals for division games only. There, the Bucs have a division-win total of 4.5, the highest of any team in the NFL.

I’ve been in this industry for about two decades and I can’t say that I remember seeing this prop before: Caesars Sportsbook is offering Over/Under totals on how many games teams will win just inside their division – obviously all clubs play six such games. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are given the highest total at 4.5 for their games in the NFC South. The Over is a slight favorite.

No question that the Bucs have the best quarterback in the division by about a million miles in Tom Brady. The Saints will be starting Jameis Winston, the Falcons Marcus Mariota after trading Matt Ryan, and the Panthers likely settling on Sam Darnold unless they end up acquiring Baker Mayfield.

Sure, the Bucs ought to stomp the Stinking Panthers and the Dixie Chicks (are the Dixie Chicks trying to tank?). Those two teams are just awful.

But the slimy Saints, they worry Joe. Slimy Saints coach Dennis Allen has Tom Brady and the Bucs’ number. The Bucs haven’t beaten the slimy Saints in the regular season since 2018.

So basically, a division-win total of 4.5 means the Bucs take care of business against the Stinking Panthers and the Dixie Chicks and split with the slimy Saints — and there you have your over.

As always, wager responsibly.

I am of the belief that Sean Payton knew this team was on the decline and that is why he wanted out…

Dennis Allen is NO Sean Payton…
Jameis Winston is a significant downgrade from Drew Brees….
If Kamara gets suspended, there goes their top weapon…
Top WR seems to be slow playing his return..

Saints only win 8 games this year will not be a surprise to me!

    Some 2022 Predictions

    Prediction #1 : Bucs will be 12-5
    Prediction #2 : Saints will be 10-7
    Prediction #3 : Bucs & Saints split series 1-1

Regardless of payton vs allen , the saints are legit. They are loaded up again and have receivers as well. They scare me for sure. And they are clearly a physical team and lets be honest – are in our heads every time we play them. I would be happy to split with saints. And panthers and falcons should be double wins with those qbs.

I forgot about kamara. When is his case up for review ? Probably get a slap on the wrist.

And watch deshaun watson get the same. Have you heard the updates on watson. The dude is a freakish scumbag. What 66 massages in 15 months. Even some of the female massagers that didnt sue said he asked for sexual favors during massage. No doubt he did it and then some. Like to show off his dna

Until we actually start beating the Saints this is all just talk.

    i like tom’s bucs shirt…

but if you can attach some strings to tom, he would look like a puppet in that stance pictured above… ^^^

  6. adam from ny Says:

also tom’s presser had a lot of delecate talk, with some hard nose questions…

one thing of note that he said…

he was happy to be back with his teammates…

but he did not say “happy to be back with the bucs or the organization”…

he wants out – he just got locked in with that 3rd year he signed on the contract…

now he’s going to remain unsigned moving forward…

ira brought the heat at the presser, while jenna tried to get into tom’s feelings…lol

Have to disagree with you Joe, I think this Bucs team will be more than slightly better that last years team. The record could be worse do to the scedule, but I think if we stay healthy, we make it to the S.B.. Yes, I see us beating the Rams this time around. I’ll point to us getting better up front on D by adding Hall, Hicks, letting go of Suh, JPP, and letting Joe start. I see the secondary a year older, and adding vets, Ryan, Neal is huge. Not worried about losing Cappa, or Marpet, we got good replacements in Mason, Stinnie, Goedeke, Hainsey, we got guards. The last thing is Brady’s back. This is the 3rd year in this offense, we should come out humming. Eveyone knows this could be Tom’s last stand, and will do everything in their power to send him out a winner. I think Licht has put together his best Buc team ever.

Dman, the bucs beat the Saints when it ment the most….

Can we talk about Aaron Rodgers dating a witch? To me, this reeks of Stannis Baratheon like desperation. I doubt that it will end well.

“The Saints will be starting JAMEIS WINSTON, the Falcons MARCUS MARIOTA, and the Panthers likely settling on SAM DARNOLD unless they end up acquiring BAKER MAYFIELD.”

All 1st-round busts. Meanwhile Brady was a 6th-rounder, and Favre a 2nd-rounder. Hence the stupidity of Bucs fans dissing on Trask simply because he was a 2nd-rounder.

  13. BucsFan81 Says:

I say it every year. The Bucs have something mental going on when it comes to the saints. We have the talent to bear them it’s just all mental. I would not be surprised if we lose both saints games this year.

The Saints may be good at beating the Bucs. But fortunately they don’t seem to be very good at beating anyone else.

  18. Brazen Zebra Says:

There’s a simple two word definition for “clown” recently added to all online dictionaries … Baker Mayfield. I hope the Panthers pick him up. That would be 2 guaranteed wins for the Bucs right there, even if the illustrious Blaine Gabbert was filling in for Tom.

But he was a Heisman trophy winner! … He was first-round pick-one in the draft man! … He gotta be great!

Don’t take The Saints for granted. They kicked our butts the last several years. GOBUCS!
