Tom Brady Will Join FOX As Game Analyst When He Retires

May 10th, 2022

Wait a minute. Joe keeps hearing that after football, Tom Brady wants to spend more time with his family while he works on helping manage and market his clothing line, his Hollywood production company and his TB12 brand of training facilities and supplements.

Apparently, that’s inaccurate.

It was announced this morning that Brady will become the top NFL game analyst for FOX when his playing career ends.

So much for spending the weekend with his kids. He’ll be flying to various cities on Fridays, and watching walk-through practices and meeting with coaches and players before Sunday kickoffs.

Joe is not slapping Brady here, only sarcastically noting how much BS floats around when it comes to the Bucs’ legendary quarterback. Nobody really knows what Brady wants except for Brady.

Obviously, this TV gig is what Brady wants — for now — until he bails on the FOX deal.

Brady Tweeted this morning that he’s “excited” about the FOX job but he has a lot of unfinished business on the field with Tampa Bay.

    Not at all surprised.

Still no where near as much work as a top QB in the NFL.

  2. tampabayallday Says:

hopefully not for a few more seasons tommy

  3. 99.97.92.55.47.40.28.20.7 Says:

Bring back the Amish Rifle now while we can

  4. Dooley Says:

“I can do a much better job than Romo, he still disappears in the 4th qtr and he’s been retired for years” -what we won’t hear Brady say out loud

  5. Its a Bucs Life Says:

All but confirming 2022 is his swan song, enjoy the ride fans, this is the Golden Era of Bucs football.

  6. SB~LV Says:

I wonder how that sits with Gisele , lots of videos, lots of teleconferencing, lots of travel, not enough Tom

  7. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Congrats to Brady & FOX……what a coup!!! Because of Brady’s tenure with our Bucs…his FOX gig will continue to bring relevance to us…..this is a Win, Win, Win

  8. Upstate NY BUC Says:

When we win the Super Bowl this season you all know Mr. Brady will no doubt want a chance at a repeat. We may have 2 years left? praying!!

  9. Bucsfan13 Says:

Ira brought up a legitimate point on the podcast about whether Brady is all in this season. This is the first time ever I’m questioned his commitment to the team. He has been what’s he’s always loathed: a distraction. He would NEVER pull this type of crap if he were still in NE. Seriously, you don’t think his teammates aren’t noticing this change in his behavior? This season will not end well. It never does when a team is noisy. And we have been very noisy. I can’t wait until the Bucs make him available for questioning. Someone needs to ask Tom if he’s truly committed to the team. Which brave reporter will have the guts to ask him.

  10. Tackleblockwin Says:

Consider me fooled. I never thought he would take such a position once his days playing ended. I think it is great for football though.

  11. Lamarcus Says:

Well that Brady fault that BS floats around him and his family. He’s really the one that says he wants to spend time with family. Don’t know why the sarcasm. Welcome to Bradys world lol

  12. Robert Says:

great news. Gruden was awesome at it. TB will probably get every perk in the book and be able to do like some of the others with no clue when they comment on teams. except TB doesn’t even need to travel there, he knows the rosters by heart.

  13. Alanbucsfan Says:

There goes the coaching career option..

  14. SOEbuc Says:

Lame. He’s the GOAT and is above Fox/any sports analyst. Gonna be an analyst till you get dementia like Terry? He says he doesn’t want to coach, but I can see him unretiring like Arians from being an analyst and coming back to the field (not necessarily with the Bucs) in some way.

  15. ModHairKen Says:

I bet they will pay him record cash. He will be outstanding.

Are we sure everything is fine on the home front? Four years go, Brady had said Gisele wrote him a letter and said she was unhappy in the marriage, and she didn’t feel like he had his priorities in order. He told her in 2016 that he would retire after he wins another SB. He’s since has won two more! Gisele has also started back her modeling career. Seems like she got sick of waiting for him to retire to do her modeling gig again. Brady posted his photo from the F1 race on Mother’s Day. Under the post, Gisele commented that she hoped he was having funny. I’ve been married for 22 years. It’s never a good thing when your significant other says “have fun.” Something is definitely amiss. I watched a podcast with Warren Sapp and he said an unhappy home is always a distraction for players 🤔

  17. Biff Barker Says:

It’s a natural landing spot for retired QB’s. Stupid that he agreed to this being nade public while he’s still playing.

  18. Bojim Says:

He will be great. Last year fans, SB or not.

  19. Mat Martin Says:

The way I see it Bucs fans are blessed to get three seasons of Tom Brady in Tampa.

I am just grateful what he has brought to this city and organization.

Let’s hope this will be a deserving swansong to his legendary career.

I don’t believe he is going to return for the 2023 season and that’s okay. Let’s go all-in on 2022 and compete for another Super Bowl.

  20. GenocideD Says:

    Ewwww. Fox?!

  21. Allbuccedup Says:

    What about the Dolphins?

  22. Bowles4President Says:

I think this backs up the idea even more that he isn’t playing for another team. That talked annoyed the hell out of me.

  23. Cobraboy Says:

Gruden said the gig was easy compared to football.

I suspect the same from Tom Terrific.

  24. Buccos Says:

That pretty much guarantees that this will be his final year. Enjoy him while you still can folks!

  25. Cobraboy Says:

BTW: this clears up the reason why Brady was in the UK. Since the Murdoch spawn announced the move and he and sis spawn live in Jolly Ol’, I suspect the deal was negotiated on that trip.

  26. David Says:

Just like Manning on his Monday night show, the insight will be great

  27. D-Rok Says:

    I can’t wait for Brady’s behind-the-scenes analysis.

“There was this one time I put icy-hot in Vrabel’s jock-strap.” LOL

  28. Mikejp Says:

His kids are teenagers now, so he and his wife don’t have to stay at home. I am curious if Joe must stay at home at weekend too. I bet NFL players staying at home more than 90% of fans do.

  29. Jmarkbuc Says:

He’s taking the John Lynch route to a GM gig…

  30. Oxycodoms Says:

So this is his last year then like he always said playing till 45

  31. Shecky Says:

Absolutely staggering the money he got. Richest contract in sportscasting history by a mile.

  32. TDTB2022 Says:

    Good for you, Tom!

    Now let’s get another Lombardi.

We are still in Football Heaven!!!!

  33. TAMPA BAY DEMON Says:

    JOE says,

“Nobody really knows what Brady wants except for Brady”

    THANK YOU.
For the love of God, ALL the BS out there is exhausting.
It is pretty damn simple for Tom. He LOVES the game. And he is LOYAL.
He is going to finish his career with the BUCS, THIS season.
And then go and be GREAT at FOX.
