Joe Thomas: The World Wants To Watch Tom Brady (And The Bucs)

May 10th, 2022

Made for primetime.

So last year, as pointed out by NFL.com, the Chiefs and Cowboys played a record-high six primetime games. Naturally, the damn Cowboys.

This week, a group of NFL.com analysts decided to choose what team they would like to see most this year on national TV. And for former Browns left tackle Joe Thomas, he wants Tom Brady (and, oh yeah, the Bucs, too) because Thomas believes this is Brady’s last rodeo.

Could this be the last go-around for the G.O.A.T.? Tom Brady already retired/unretired this offseason, and the league isn’t going to let him walk into the sunset without a farewell tour. For everything he’s done in his career, Brady deserves to be under the brightest lights as much as possible in what could be his final campaign. The world wants to watch.

Joe is pretty sure the Bucs will get five primetime games. That’s because the Bucs are good, and yes, because of Brady too. That’s also how many the Bucs got last year.

Brady = eyeballs. And the NFL and its broadcast partners are all about eyeballs. Though Joe is not guessing the Bucs get primetime six times, it wouldn’t be a shock. Joe and fellow fans will find out Thursday when the schedule begins to leak and then is finally released at 8 p.m.

Yeah he’s great ! So great in fact that if the league played with teddy bears instead of footballs , he’d still throw perfect spirals !

tommy b and the bucs are the new america’s team…

oh wait, that’s old news already…

12 of 17 weeks last year were blacked out or unavailable in new york, for my lone fellow bucs fan up there with nfl sunday ticket…

he legit said 5 games were viewable on nfl sunday ticket, and i think he mentioned the final 3 weeks were part of the 5 games…

so like 2 of the first 14 weeks were available on sunday ticket for him…

everything else was either prime time or a national type game slotted in at like a 4:25 pm start, as a game of the week…

tommy b and the bucs are on tv around the entire country like almost every dang week…it’s crazy…

tommy b is the michael jordan of football…and yes he’s a tampa bay buccaneer

Over on Florida’s SE coast, I think I was able to watch all but 2 or 3 games live on TV. The others I had to listen to on radio. Back in the pre-Brady years I was lucky to get 4 or 5 games a year on TV.

They’ll need to rip the ball from his cold dead hands!!!!

  9. Alexander Nascimento Says:

    Hey Joe.
Scott Smith from Buccaneers.com said it is now possible for a team to be awarded with 6 primetime games and that the Germany game is not considered a primetime.
    Go Bucs!

Brady swan song season is gonna be must see TV every week.

Enjoy the golden age of Bucs football. Bucs will finish with a winning record 3 straight seasons and hopefully 3 straight seasons winning a playoff game. The later being the first time it would ever happen for us.

Thank you Tom Brady and LFG!!!

Apparently Brady will be Fox’s lead nfl analyst with Kevin Burkhardt when he decides to retire. So people want to hear him as well.

Will the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wrestle the title of “America’s Team” away from the Dallas Cowboys? The “Boys” have claimed it since way back in the seventies when they truly were a class organization. Will we have the title five years from now based on our track record post Tom Brady?

Our franchise currently leads they way with it’s dedication to excellence, family values, community service and social equality. These are things that make us a class organization now.

Consistent winning seasons and multiple championships are required also.

    Go Bucs!

You need a better comments system on your website! It will take Joebucsfan to new levels. Yes, you are the #1 Bucs website but there are always ways to improve. Daily Mail and Fox News have good systems in place for comments. You’ll double your traffic and have way more followers coming back to your site. People want to see what others think about their comments. Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, etc all use this concept. You can, too!

Even if you don’t, you still have the best Bucs coverage.

  14. Alvafan Says:

I don’t do a lot of internet sites but these threads got me hooked and back to following the Bucs again. I do think Jeff may have a point with adding the ability to track comments but sometimes that can turn a site into people just backbiting each other. The Red Sox had to close their fan site because everyone was getting nasty and they didn’t want to pay to moderate it.
