Saints Bracing For Big Loss

March 21st, 2022

“You know why I left, brother.”

This put a smile on Joe’s face early this morning.

The slimy Saints are bracing for a loss they don’t have the cash to replace.

Pro Bowl left tackle Terron Armstead is in Miami on a free agent visit and a deal could be imminent, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Armstead missed nine games last season with different injuries and Saints fans weren’t overly thrilled with his replacement. New Orleans was 5-3 when Armstead played and 4-5 when he didn’t.

The Saints approached free agency with major salary cap issues and Armstead, 30, could be a key loss in a matter of hours. Undrafted veteran James Hurst started at guard last season in New Orleans, and there’s talk there of him moving over to left tackle at 30 years old. He played there early in his career with Baltimore in 2014 and 2015.

The demise of the NFC South around the Bucs is striking. The Saints still have a quarterback decision to make, and if it’s Jameis Winston, he might not even be ready for Week 1.

Our goal is no longer just winning the division, it’s best record and first round bye

  2. SKBucsFan Says:

Coaches need to make sure the team is ready to not just beat the Saints but to crush them. They have made us look bad the past few years.

  3. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Couldn’t happen to a nicer team…..

  4. Its a Bucs Life Says:

With Payton gone the Bucs need to beat the Aints at least once or it just reinforces how inept Arians is against involved and smart coaching staffs

  5. ModHairKen Says:

Weren’t the Saints 5-2 with Jameis?

  6. Beeej Says:

They WERE. He was never put in a position where he had to win the game tho, and they scaled down the passing attack

  7. HC Grover Says:

Oh No! The poor Stainks. I feel so sorry for them. Maybe a sympathy card would help.

  8. August 1976 Buc Says:

    The New Orleans Bottom feeders.
Welcome to your lost decade lolololol
Sean Payton could not stomach the stench that began to be rising from the Mercedes Benz Stadium.
Well Saints fan 59, Peyton ran for his life, and got out of Dodge lolololol

    GO BUCS!!!!

  9. Stanglassman Says:

Why ask Jameis to throw it 50 times and play hero ball unless you have to.

We still have a quarterback issue it’s weird not to act as if we don’t until the off-season then panic all over again next year. I’m cool with being all in but I still want to see a lot of Trask. I don’t wanna ride the brady drama train again next year

  11. Its a Bucs Life Says:

In the two games in 2021 where America’s Turnover Machine had to throw over 30 passes he completed 50% and 54% of his passes. Both wins over non playoff teams in Seattle and WFT.

Aints without Payton crafting game plans are not going to be what they have been. Dennis Allen is a formidable coordinator that confuses the heck out of Leftwich but against more involved coaches his scheme is exposed.

Aints defense was torched against non playoff teams like Carolina, ATL and the Giants. Eagles put up 40 against them and Bills and Dallas destroyed them as well.

Their D seems to get amped up against Brady and us more than anyone else. Then look average against other teams

  12. Aaron Says:

  18. Tye Says:

J might be done if they find a healthy replacement…. Dennis Allen hasn’t exactly been favoring J after the DW22 fallout!… MAN, Saints don’t care who they bring in as qb!

  19. SlyPirate Says:

The (kind of) Bad News …

The NFCS schedule is killer’s row. Every Super Bowl contender, minus Buffalo. What that means is every team in the NFCS will have an abysmal record in 2023 and thusly great draft picks. That is, all but the Bucs. Look for the NFCS to rebound in a big way in 2024 and beyond.

  20. Aaron Says:

Just remember I’ll be there for the Tampa home game like always since Aaron Brooks days I’m a real 1 not cuz shady brady

  21. Aaron Says:

  23. Its a Bucs Life Says:

Aints are the definition of futility, took their trash organization like 30 years to win a playoff game.

All those years with Brees and the Bucs still have won more playoff games than them lol hahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha

  24. TampabayDJ82 Says:

Aaron – I’ll look for you at the game , you’re the guy who wears the paper bag over your head right ?? Ohh I remember going to NO in 2002 and all the fans had bags on their heads !! 🤣🤣 And it’s FACT that NO is a SMELLY ass place especially Bourbon Street .. Smells like urine and puke 🤮

  25. Iamabuc Says:

    Boo hoo…😭….🤣🤣🤣

  26. Bucs&Bolts Says:

Jameis should get out of the Aints no reason for him to go there.

  27. Aaron Says:

No I’ll be by the ship saying shady brady sucks so come on

  28. Aaron Says:

And it’s bout the game how many wins we got buddy shady couldn’t do nothing even got shut out by us lol come on I’ll be there just like the saints when we come marching in lol hope 2 see u

The Bucs Haven’t been worth talking about since Chucky and Warren Sapp , Beat them (SUCS) from Lame Bay and will do it again this year with Your quarterback . Brandy has a Number and I got IT .

  31. Dreambig Says:

I believe last year Payton was at home with Covid, and we still let a 5th string QB make us look like a pop warner team. I’ll talk crap to the Saints when we actually beat them.

  32. bucsfanfromNE Says:

I bet the saints spank the bucs no matter who we have at qb….it’s our defense ,Remember 9-0 lol.haha…..Dennis Allen still will be in charge /calling plays I should say,so bring it on buc fans…..

  35. Edward Cazenave IV Says:

Our Saints will be just fine. Ya’ll all thought and hoped last yr would be a true disaster we didn’t make the playoffs, won 9 games and beat our asses twice the 2nd time with the dude who isn’t really a Q.B .So with that being said prepare again for another Deep South and Drity Beat DoWn we always find a way to prevail.
Have a great summer WHO DAT !!!

  36. Ray Says:

The Bucs fans seem to still have a bad taste in there mouths from thenbeatings the Saint keepmgiving them. Real football people know the Saints dealt with adversity all year and still almost made them playoff. People give credit where credit is due and quit crying.

  37. Darryl Says:

Looks like a whole lot of bucs are hating Winston ,saints revenge tour ,they did it with out their star reciever last year who will be back this year with something to prove and as far as the coaching staff goes oh their ready
