Joel Glazer: No Meeting With Tom Brady In England

Despite the popular and intriguing story of Tom Brady jetting off to England and having a power meeting with Team Glazer the day before magically announcing his unretirement, Joe never bought it.
It didn’t make sense. Plus no pictures emerged of Brady with Team Glazer or at Manchester United headquarters, and there were no English tabloids on the story of a meeting, plus Joe was told by a knowledgeable source that there was no reason to believe a business meeting happened.
This evening at the NFL Owners meetings in Palm Beach, Buccaneers co-chairman Joel Glazer took questions from a small handful of Tampa Bay media and Joe asked Glazer to set the historic record straight.
Joe asked Glazer if he met with Brady in England in the days/hours before Brady’s unretirement. Glazer said he didn’t want to share any discussions. So Joe followed up: “Did you actually meet with him there? Did you see him there?”
“No,” Glazer replied.
So when did Bucs ownership learn the extraordinary news of Brady’s return? “Soon before everybody else,” Glazer said.
Every Bucs fan remembers exactly where he or she stood when they got news of Brady’s 2022 return. It was that stunning. Glazer, with a big smile on his face tonight, talked about how amazing the day was.
Nothing can take away from that feeling, but now it’s clear Brady’s call wasn’t tied to a power play with ownership within hours of his announcement.

So they did nothing to get him to come back? And he surprised everyone a few days before, and now they are building around him.
He went to his first publicly known Premier league match and met their star player on pitch the day he annouces he’s returning and the team is owned by same owner whom have box and he was in stands with the jobbers watching

Team Glazer tells the truth, he met TB and his wife before the travel. Tom and his sons would not travel there if the decision had not been made.

Perhaps there wasn’t a meeting, Brady was there with his boys, but they definitely talked. I remember seeing Joel Glazers head in a photograph of Brady at the game
