Instagram Intrigue From Leonard Fournette

March 14th, 2022

Playoff ready?

Well this sure is interesting.

Remember last week when Joe brought the Instagram word of what seemed to be a farewell to Tampa Bay from Playoff Lenny? Now that post, in the wake of Tom Brady unretiring, has vanished.

There is a bunch of speculation in NFL circles that several Bucs free agents who were driving out of town for good slammed on the brakes when news of Brady’s return went viral — and that these same free agents would reassess their immediate plans.

Is that why Playoff Lenny took the post down from his Instagram account?

Below is the now-deleted post.

Priorities= Gronk, Gholston, JPP, Suh, Whitehead. Save The Licht House, find the cash!!

  2. Go Bucs Says:

JPP should not be a priority. We need an interior pass rusher. QBs hate interior rush more than edge rush. Our QB included.

  3. TOMMY MORDUE Says:

THANK YOU LORD FOR TOM BRADY & HIS DECISION TO RETURN TO MY BUCCANEERS, NOW WE HAVE OUR QUARTERBACK AGAIN & WON’T LOSE ALL OUR BEZT PLAYERS TO FREE AGENCY..MAYBE ALI MARPET WILL UNRETIRE TOO, & WE CAN KEEP THE BAND TOGETHER !..LORD THIS IS GOOD NEWS !..A DREAM ONCE AGAIN IS COMING TRUE !..GO BUC’S !!!!

  4. HC Grover Says:

He spotted the Brady Bat Signal

  5. JGhotier Says:

Oh, now you want us back Lenny?! After you tossed us Bucs in the closet like an old pair of tennis shoes. I guess it is true though….sooner or later they all come back….. 😂

In all seriousness, I do take slight issue w/ the fact that he doesn’t really wanna be a Buc (and that means something….to me at least), he wants to play w/ Brady. That’s a difference and I’m not sure that’s entirely what Spytek meant when he, Licht and the FO coined the “be that man (Buc)” slogan. In saying that, I’ll easily get over it and if Brady wants it, get it.

We were given a gift last night in the midst of what was shaping up to be a dark off-season and I’m fine with anything, at this point, that keeps Brady happy, here and healthy. And for RB, Lenny may be the best possible option to keep Brady happy, here and (most importantly) healthy. We all know Brady loves backs who can catch and pass protect and Lenny not only improved, but excelled at both of those areas last season. Supposedly they have a great connection too (there’s one play I won’t forget that’s evident of that too….the PA pass that Lenny aborted the fake handoff and PA all together because in the instant he saw a free runner and made the decision to abort that part of the play on the fly, sold out to get the block and the result was a completed pass and a high-five from Brady after it in real time live game action).

    Brady is back bayyyy beeee!

  6. BucEmUp Says:

Jghot, it wasn’t just going to be Lenny, this would have been ugly. Its business not a sport anymore. He didnt say anything bad and ran his ass off.

    I would welcome him back

  7. Bucs Guy Says:

JPP no, Suh or Gholston but not both.

  8. JGhotier Says:

I realize it wasn’t just going to be him. My post was partly just messing around and partly yes I’d rather a person want to be a Buc than just be here to play w/ a player, but that doesn’t mean I’m against. Just my preference. I said I’m totally fine with it and get Brady whatever the heck the man wants. Plain and simple.

We just got Ryan Jensen back too btw!

  9. Bobby M. Says:

He’s an interesting situation because he’s shown he wont simply go to the place that pays him the most, he could have done that the last two years. I think if the money is close, Fournette returns but i do believe he knows this is likely his last big pay day for a RB and has to get those guarantees in the bank this go around.

JPP no, Suh or Gholston but not both.

I’ve been pondering same. Suh dropped off a bit last year, but he’s still better than most, and a good guy to have on your team. (Albeit at a lower salary than LAST year) Gholston has quietly gotten better EVERY year, and he doesn’t cost much. JPP…hmm need to see if he comes back from the surgery. At any rate, HE would make a lot less too

  11. Listnfrmafar Says:

Suh drp off? Who on the D line played better than him? I’d be more worried about Shaq.

  12. BUC IT Says:

The priorities should be the offensive line over defense.

  13. 1sparkybuc Says:

Six sacks from a DT playing in a rotation is not “dropping off”. Also, moot and mute are two totally different things.

  14. Stone crab sam Says:

    Defense wins championships.
    Need suh and Gholston back.
    Draft a guard 1st. Round.
    Resign Lenny.
    Resign safety.
Jpp rotator surgery takes a year to heal.
    At best he’s part timer.
The Bucs going to have to get creative, this can be done.🤞

  15. DEEEMO Says:

As I said a couple of times in the past few weeks, just chill out and see what happens right at free agency time! All the doom & gloom is now gone cause Brady is back! Now build the O & D lines as well as fill out the secondary. Funny how the NFL network did not hardly talk about the Bucs much in the past few weeks until Brady made the Twitter text last night! Now that is all they are talking about!

  16. Bird Says:

    Hc grover

I like the bat sign reference over tampa
    😂

Joes – no doubt lenny wants back with bucs. He honestly to me seems like a genuine dude. He gets loyalty. He knows he looks good with the goat throwing him those dump offs. Where elsewhere he may be just another player

He will be back. Him and vaughn double team. So no need to draft a running back

  17. SufferingSince76 Says:

Hey Listnfrmafar, let’s hear some of your classic inside information on Brady’s return. We’ll wait.

  18. brooks Says:

comes to this want a ring then stay

  19. DBS Says:

What did you expect from these players. They wanted to be on a team with a chance to win. BS runs his mouth about starting Gabbert they knew there wasn’t a chance that was going to happen.

  20. YetiBucSmash Says:

Suh/Gholston have to sign. JPP, your time to shine is gone. Tryon can take JPP spot easily. He’s faster, bigger, badder in year 2. Eh on Fournette. Save the cash. Get ROJO on the cheap and tandem with Vaughn. We need to pick up 1 WR for the 2 spot as Godwin won’t be back until late October at best. Air attack all day long this year. 6K passing yards, 40TDs. Gronk on a 1 year. Let’s FNNNNN GOOOOOOO!!!!

  21. SKBucsFan Says:

There is no shame in having an about-face as a player. They have earned the right to find the best fit. Fortunately the Bucs are the right fit for most free agents now!

  22. Bucs Win Says:

I was drunk yesterday, wasn’t sure if I made it up in my head so I had to check, but it is real Brady is back!! Now I’m crying tears of joy for the second time!!

  23. Anonymous Says:

Why would JPP be a priority🤣🤣🤣🤣 JPP is done he isn’t coming back. Tyron is wayyy better at this point in their careers

  24. Brandon Says:

    YetiBucSmash,

You don’t know 💩 about ACLs.

  25. sasquatch Says:

Fournette is replaceable, like most RBs. If he wants to play here for < 5 mil, maybe… but there are other FA RBs who may be more explosive.

  26. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

What ever happened to loyalty over money to your team? Guess that goes out the window once you spend up your first million

  27. Trey Long Says:

Brady is one of a tiny list of players that
Top players will take less money to play with. Absent him its max dollar everytime.

  28. Trey Long Says:

Bucs need a true shut down corner bad.
Not worried about offense w TB.

  29. Mike Johnson Says:

Our Bucs got a lot of needs even with Brady comin Back. Other teams will improve also. Our 2 losses to LA last year showed me…We need a pass rush guys. And we need one bad. What use is scoring 30 when the opposition scores 32?

    ***

We run a 3-4 defense, dude. There’s no such thing as an “interior passrusher” position. The three down lineman are OL-eating run stuffers who very occasionally get sacks. Pass rush generally comes from the linebackers.

  31. DavidBigBucFan99 Says:

Mike Johnson exactly. Every buffoon up here blamed Bowles for the final play of the Rams game because it’s so easy to do so but if the pass rush has been better and got to Stafford, Kupp wouldn’t have had time to get the last 60 yards in receptions. We need better and faster d linemen because what we have won’t cut it

  32. YetiBucSmash Says:

Brandon talking Poo. Big Poo. Like his opinions…

  33. YucstoBucs Says:

JPP, Gholston, and Suh ?? Do you think we maybe trade Shaq, but I think the first 3 are very replaceable and could come at a cheaper price .. umm Justin Houston, but do you guys really think Shaq is worth all that money, but also what about David ? Just thoughts
