When The Bucs Scored 30 Points

February 28th, 2022

Dynamic offense.

Good things happen when you score points. And the Bucs have proved that the past couple of seasons.

In 2021, only one team had a better scoring offense than the Bucs. It happened to have been the same team the Bucs beat to open the season, the Cowboys. But barely.

The Cowboys averaged just a fraction more than the Bucs last season with both teams at 30 points a game.

The Bucs were pretty damn good at home winning eight games including the playoffs. Only the Chiefs had more wins at home and they hosted an AFC Championship game. The same week the Chiefs won their ninth home game, the Bucs lost to the Rams.

The Bucs were undefeated at home when they scored 30 points. And yeahl they lost by a field goal 30-27 against the Rams in the divisional round.

With already two major retirements from the Bucs’ starting offense, Joe has to wonder just what the team will average this season?

What did they average before the 2020 season? I’d go with that for the 2022 Tampa Bay production assuming they signs a competent FA QB at least as good as Winston and return Godwin, should be similar to a Jamesis type offensive production.

Time for ME13 to start recruiting!!! Arians did it 2 years ago with Brady. He’ll do it again.

we will not be averaging 30 points per game next season with the way things are going…

tom walked off with 7 points…

and ali just tucked 3 more in his back pocket

Those days are gone. Hopefully we can re-sign Godwin and a couple of our O-linemen, find an inexpensive RB or 2 (Lenny’s gone), reload the TE room, and find a QB. Those are a whole lot of variables.

@Joe, I’m guessing your traffic has gone down considerably. Why do you insist on constantly recycling articles? Yeah, there might be a different spin, but it’s the same stuff, over and over, with an insightful article thrown in here or there. I used to be obsessed with reading every article. Now, not so much.

You must be new here or new to watching the NFL. Have you looked at other fan sites? There isn’t really much to say or report on until the NFL free agency starts. One of the Patriots fan sites out there has a blog post about re-signing Brian Hoyer. One of the Panthers blog sites is also talking about Deshaun Watson. It’s that time of year.

Hoping the Bucs can land Jimmy G. Is he ideal? No. But he may give the Bucs the best chance of any QB left available. We don’t need the drama queen from Green Bay, the Seahawks aren’t going to give up Russell Wilson and the free agent QB’s are 2’nd or 3’rd tier at best. Will we average 30 points a game? Probably not, even if we were to get Godwin and Gronk back and it seems like now those are bigger ifs. Looks like Gronk won’t return and some team is going to back up a bank to Chris Godwin, which will be hard to turn down and play for the Bucs for less money.

For your information new England patriot fan Jamesis winston last year threw for 5000 plus yards so i would be ecstatic if a qb can replicate that next year just cut down on the interceptions

We won the Superbowl by keeping the best offense in the league out of the end zone, please remember that.defence wins championships

D Rome. Nope. Been here since JBF started. Would simply like to see articles that haven’t been posted 30 times. I’m not slow. I get it the first time.

To AA3355 can’t agree with your take. The Super Bowl was won because the offense allowed the defense to take over late in the game. YOU NEED BOTH! GOBUCS!

The best defense is a great offense, if you can stay on the field acoring the other team wont have a chance, but with that said you need both!!! Football is a complete team sport…if brady doesn’t come back, or land rogers or wilson or jimmy g, back to the suck a neers!!…team was 7-9 vefore brady took over first year and won the fregging superbowl!!! And they would of won another one if wasnt for stupid bone headed defensive play calling!!!!!! I still cant get over not playing a 2 high saftey or double teaming cooper with 42 seconds left!!! All they needed waa a fg and they had no choice but to go deep!!!
